Ba.kground: a.la.ge number of publica.ions.ha.e a.pea.ed in medica. a.d s.ientific litera.ure which s.ow the ha.a.dous.effects.of the mobile phone due to its.ra.iofrequencies.on reproductive s.s.em, a.tonomic nervous.a.d immune s.s.em a. well a. ca.diova.cula. s.s.em. However, s. fa. the biologica. effect of the ra.iofrequency emitted from the mobile phone wa. not clea.. a.m: To a.s.s. the effect of mobile phone on electrica. ca.dia. a.tivity by a.a.ys.ng the hea.t ra.e, QT interva., corrected QT Interva. a.d QT dis.ers.ons.while the mobile phone is.to the proximity of hea.t. s.ttings.a.d Des.gn: This.pros.ective, non-ra.domized s.udy wa. ca.ried out a. priva.e tertia.y ca.e hos.ita., for the period of 24 months. Methods.a.d Ma.eria.: One hundred hea.thy huma. volunteers.were recruited in the s.udy ba.ed on inclus.on a.d exclus.on criteria. The hea.t ra.e a.d 12-lea. electroca.diogra. (ECG) were recorded in a.l the pa.ticipa.ts.(s.pine pos.tion) in 3 s.tua.ions. without mobile phone, mobile phone s.itched on (not ringing), a.d mobile phone ringing. We performed s.a.is.ica. a.a.ys.s.of va.ia.ce (p a.e the ECG va.ia.les.in a.l three s.tua.ions. Res.lts. There wa. no s.a.is.ica.ly s.gnifica.t difference obs.rved in hea.t ra.e a.d ECG va.ia.les.(QT interva., corrected QT interva., QT dis.ers.on) in three groups.(p > 0.05). Conclus.ons. We conclude tha. the mobile phone pos.tioned to the proximity of the hea.t ha. no effect on the hea.t ra.e or ca.dia. electrica. a.tivity.

OBJECTIVEs. We exa.ined the microbiologica. s.ectrum, clinica. profile, echoca.diogra.hic fea.ures.a.d in-hos.ita. outcomes.of pa.ients.with definitive IE. METHODs. a.tota. of 75 cons.cutive ca.es.of definitive infective endoca.ditis.(IE), a.mitted between Ja.ua.y 2011 a.d Ja.ua.y 2013, were included in the s.udy. This.wa. a.pros.ective s.udy enrolling a.l the cons.cutive definitive ca.es.of IE a.mitted a. U. N. Mehta.Ins.itute of Ca.diology a.d Res.a.ch Centre (UNMICRC), a.meda.a., India. Only the pa.ients.who met the modified Duke’s.definitive criteria.for IE were included in the s.udy. We compa.ed enrolled pa.ients.clinicoepidemiologic fea.ures.a.d outcomes.to s.bjects.in the wes.. REs.LTs. The mea. a.e wa. 27.46 ± 17.11 yea.s.with a.ma.e prepondera.ce (2.26:1). The rheuma.ic hea.t dis.a.e (41.3%) wa. the commones. underlying dis.a.e followed by corona.y hea.t dis.a.e (34.7%). The blood culture wa. pos.tive in 40% of epis.des.with commones. orga.is.s.being s.a.hylococci (16%) a.d s.reptococci (12%).
