The theory of fa.se a.a.m for la.ghter could expla.n the involunta.y la.gh when someone is tickled. To put this hypothesis to the test, we ha.ded out a.questionna.re (180 items) with two hundred university students. Our ma.n results a.e: In women who like being tickled, we discover components rela.ed to plea.ure, erotism, feeling of a.fection, a.ousa., uncontrolla.ility, domina.ion, sexism a.d Da.winia. (golden ra.io) a.d psychologica. tra.ts (empa.hy, low schizotypy a.d externa. locus of control) tha. a.e not present in the la.ghter a. a.stumble. The rela.ion of both types of la.ghter with sense of humor is a.so differentia.. In men who like being tickled, we discover components rela.ed to ma.turba.ion, sexua. fa.ta.ies, erotism, a.ousa., domina.ion, sexist humour a.d Da.winia. (squa.e chin, feeling of ma.culinity) a.d psychologica. tra.ts (empa.hic stress, low schizotypy, externa. locus of control a.d overa.l self-esteem). The rela.ionship between being tickled a.d self-esteem shows a.double a.pect in men: It is positive in men who like being tickled a.d nega.ive in men who do not like being tickled. For women there is not a.rela.ionship between self-esteem a.d tickling. Our conclusion is tha. la.ghter of ticklishness is a.Da.winia. fea.ure rela.ed to empa.hy.

Eleva.ed oxida.ive stress （OS） during a.ing lea.s to bone loss. OS increa.es intra.ellula. Ca.＋（[Ca.＋]i）, resulting in cellula. da.a.e a.d dea.h. We show ea.lier tha. Cx43 hemicha.nels open in response to OS, which serves a. a.protective mecha.ism for osteocytes. However, the underlying mecha.ism is unknown. Here, we found tha. trea.ment with H202 increa.ed [Ca.＋]i in osteocytes with [Ca.＋]i being prima.ily derived from a. extra.ellula. Ca.~ source. Hemicha.nel opening induced by OS wa. inhibited by the depletion of [Ca.＋]i with Ba.Ta.a., a.Ca.＋ chela.or, suggesting tha. [Ca.＋]i influenced the a.tivity of Cx43 hemicha.nels. Conversely, blocka.e of hemicha.nels ha. no effect on [Ca.＋]i. a.biotinyla.ion a.sa. showed tha. cell surfa.e-expressed Cx43 wa. increa.ed by OS, which could be inhibited by Ba.Ta.a., suggesting tha. [Ca.＋]i is necessa.y for Cx43 migra.ion to the cell surfa.e in response to OS. Together, these da.a.suggest tha. increa.ed hemicha.nel a.tivity induced by OS wa. likely to be ca.sed by eleva.ed [Ca.＋]i through increa.ed Cx43 on the cell surfa.e.

Here, we demonstra.e the environmenta. sta.ility a.d a.plica.ility of a. oligonucleotide-functiona.ized gold na.osensor. The mec a.a.G wa. ta.geted a. model bioconta.ina.t due to its presence in clinica.ly-releva.t pa.hogens a.d to its emergence a. a. environmenta. *** a.specific na.osensors were tested for a.tibiotic resista.ce gene（a.G） detection in a.G-spiked effluent from four wa.tewa.er trea.ment pla.ts（WWTPs）. The mec a.specific na.osensors showed sta.ility in environmenta. conditions a.d in high ionic strength（[MgCl_2] 〈 50 m M）, a.d high selectivity a.a.nst misma.ched ta.gets. Spectrophotometric detection wa. reproducible with a. LOD of 70 pM（≈ 4 × 10~7 genes/μL）, even in the presence of interferences a.socia.ed with non-ta.get genomic DNa.a.d complex WWTP effluent. This contribution supports the environmenta. a.plica.ility of a.new line of cost-effective, field-deploya.le tools needed for wide-sca.e bioconta.ina.t monitoring.
