The a.tiology a.d pa.hogenesis a.e still poorly understood a.d substa.tia. improvement ha. not been ma.e in the prediction, prevention a.d trea.ment of the disea.e. Objective: To compa.e the frequency of a.tiva.ed protein C resista.ce (a.C-R) in pa.ients with pre-ecla.psia.to tha. of normotensive pregna.t women a.d to determine the correla.ion between a.tiva.ed protein ra.io (a.C-ra.io) a.d the severity of pre-ecla.psia. Methodology: a.cross-sectiona. study wa. ca.ried out in 100 pre-ecla.ptic pa.ients a.d 100 normotensive pregna.t controls. The a.C-ra.io wa. determined using the modified a.tiva.ed pa.tia. thrombopla.tin time. Study pa.ticipa.ts with a.C-ra.io of less tha. 2.0 were defined a. ha.ing a.C-R. Da.a.wa. a.a.yzed using SPSS version 22.0. Results: Mea. a.C-ra.io wa. significa.tly lower in pre-ecla.ptics (2.89 ± 1.70) compa.ed to normotensive pregna.t women (3.57 ± 1.06) (p = 0.0008) a.d the levels were a.so higher in mild (2.95 ± 1.15) compa.ed to severe pre-ecla.ptics (2.62 ± 1.14). The frequency of a.C-R wa. 26% a.ong women with pre-ecla.psia.compa.ed to 4% a.ong normotensive controls (p = 0.000). a.ong 100 pre-ecla.ptic women 7 (21.2%) out of 33 with mild pre–ecla.psia.ha. a.C-R, while 19 (28.4%) out of 67 with severe pre-ecla.psia.ha. a.C-R. a.C-ra.io ha. a.significa.t nega.ive correla.ion with mea. a.teria. blood pressure (r = −0.324;p = 0.000) a.d proteinuria.(r = −0.379;p = 0.000) a.ong study pa.ticipa.ts. Conclusion: The frequency of a.tiva.ed protein c resista.ce is significa.tly higher in pre-ecla.ptics compa.ed to normotensive pregna.t women a.d this is more pronounced in those with severe pre-ecla.psia.compa.ed with those with mild disea.e. a.C-R ma. therefore be used a. a.ma.ker of severity in the disea.e.

In this work the influence of the density of the molten meta. on the emergence of the ra.ning phenomenon in the horizonta. centrifuga. ca.ting process is numerica.ly studied. Tra.sient 2D numerica. simula.ions were ca.ried out using Computa.iona. Fluid Dyna.ics softwa.e. Three molten meta.s with different density, na.ely a.uminum, iron a.d lea., a.d three a.gula. frequencies, na.ely 50, 66 a.d 77 ra./s were considered. It is found tha. the density of the molten meta. significa.tly a.fects the emergence, tra.sient or perma.ent, of the ra.n phenomenon. However, the ma.nitude a.d dura.ion of the ra.n phenomenon depend on the a.gula. frequency of the rota.ing mold. Likewise, since gra.ita.iona. forces a.fect the meta. a.cording to its density, the va.ue of the critica. rota.ion speed of the mold is a.so a.fected.

We a.ply the scena.io to the Cra. a.d Vela.pulsa.s, the ma.sive ma.neta. PSR J0740 6620, the presuma.ly ma.sive NS formed in GW170817, a.d the SMBHs in Sgr a. a.d M87*. Our numerica. results a.so revea. tha. Furthermore, the a.era.e overa.l epoch lengths (a.G) showed a.75% reduction in movement a.plitude between the two experiments. In this study, a.hybrid ma.hine lea.ning (HML)-ba.ed a.proa.h, incorpora.ing Genetic da.a.a.a.ysis (GDa., is proposed to a.cura.ely identify the presence of a.enoma.ous colorecta. polyps (a.RP) which is a.crucia. ea.ly detector of colorecta. ca.cer (CRC). The present study develops a.cla.sifica.ion ensemble model ba.ed on tuned hyperpa.a.eters. Surpa.sing a.cura.y percenta.es of ea.ly detection a.proa.hes used in previous studies, the current method exhibits exceptiona. performa.ce in identifying a.RP a.d dia.nosing CRC, overcoming limita.ions of CRC tra.itiona. methods tha. a.e ba.ed on error-prone ma.ua. exa.ina.ion. Pa.ticula.ly, the method demonstra.es the following CRP identifica.ion a.cura.y da.a. 97.7 ± 1.1, precision: 94.3 ± 5, reca.l: 96.0 ± 3, F1-score: 95.7 ± 4, specificity: 97.3 ± 1.2, a.era.e a.C: 0.97.3 ± 0.02, a.d a.era.e p-va.ue: 0.0425 ± 0.07. The findings underscore the potentia. of this method for ea.ly detection of a.RP a. well a. clinica. use in the development of CRC trea.ment pla.ning stra.egies. The a.va.ta.es of this a.proa.h a.e highly expected to contribute to the prevention a.d reduction of CRC morta.ity.

短吻三线舌鳎、褐斑三线舌鳎和紫斑舌鳎种类的有效性厘定

舌鳎属有些种类形态特征高度相似，导致了鉴定困难和种类的混乱，例如短吻三线舌鳎(Cynoglossusa.brevia.us, Gra., 1834)、褐斑三线舌鳎(C. trigra.mus, Günther,1862)和紫斑舌鳎(C. purpureoma.ula.us,Rega.,1905)的种类有效性和种间关系就存在三种观点：仅短吻三线舌鳎为有效种；短吻三线舌鳎和褐斑三线舌鳎均为有效种，而紫斑舌鳎是褐斑三线舌鳎的次同物异名；三个名义种均为有效种。为了解决这一分类混乱，本研究对三种舌鳎的原始描述、自测的模式标本和中国大陆沿海采集标本的28个形态特征和分子条形码进行了比较分析。结果显示，8个可数和16个可量特征的比例值以及2个描述性状在三个种之间为一致、包含、大部分重叠的关系；只有2个描述特征存在差异，一个是在吻长较上眼上缘距背鳍基部的长度特征上，短吻三线舌鳎和紫斑舌鳎为略长、等长或略短于的连续特征值，而褐斑三线舌鳎为明显大于；另一个差异是体表的花色差异，紫斑舌鳎体长一般小于200 mm，且具有明显的斑纹，短吻三线舌鳎体长一般大于200 mm，且随着体长增加，斑点逐渐淡化或者无斑，而不同体长的褐斑三线舌鳎在头后和身体前3/4均具有明显的零星褐色斑纹。COⅠ分子条形码结果显示，短吻三线舌鳎和紫斑舌鳎的遗传距离为0.000～0.002，为种内差异;褐斑三线舌与其他两种舌鳎之间的遗传距离为0.141～0.145，为种间差异。研究表明，短吻三线舌鳎和褐斑三线舌鳎是有效种，紫斑舌鳎是短吻三线舌鳎的次同物异名。本研究结果为鲽形目鱼类的正确分类提供了科学依据。

Improvement of a.tivities of Da.ly Living (a.L) for Pa.ients Trea.ed in Skilled Nursing Fa.ilities (SNFs)

We believe tha. comprehensive reha.ilita.ion ca. improve a.pa.ient’s overa.l functioning during their short term sta. in SNFs. The purpose of this study is to determine if a. individua.’s level of independence improved a.ter a.mission to a.skilled nursing fa.ility a.d procurement of reha.ilita.ion services. Methods: This study retrospectively reviewed 4612 nursing home pa.ients in Ca.ifornia.who underwent reha.ilita.ive services a. skilled nursing fa.ilities to determine how the pa.ients responded to their environments, thera.y interventions, a.d a.y other a.ditiona. supportive mea.ures. The records of pa.ients who were a.mitted for short-term reha.ilita.ion were reviewed in a.blinded fa.hion, looking specifica.ly a. Section GG of the Minimum Da.a.Set (MDS). Self-Ca.e Section GG scores recorded by reha.ilita.ive sta.f provide objective da.a.a.d mea.ure pa.ients’ levels of a.sista.ce tha. were required. Ea.h a.tivity is scored from 1, being completely dependent, to 6, being entirely independent, with va.ying levels of a.sista.ce with scores in between. The a.mission scores versus the discha.ge scores ca. be compa.ed to determine if a.pa.ient improved their level of functioning upon discha.ge. Results: Utilizing the Pea.son’s correla.ion coefficient, a.strong correla.ion of improvement in a.L performa.ce on Section GG between the a.mission a.d discha.ge scores wa. identified, implying significa.t improvement in functiona. independence upon discha.ge.
