The pr.sent pa.er.involves fir.tly in the studies of cor.osion pr.per.ies of a. 6061 meta. ma.r.x composites r.infor.ed with va.ying per.enta.e of uncoa.ed a.d Cu coa.ed silicon ca.bide in 3.5 wt% Na.l solution using weight loss method. The pr.cessing r.ute used for.the composites wa. stir.ca.ting technique. Ma.s loss a.d cor.osion r.0}e mea.ur.ments wer. utilized a. cr.ter.a.for.eva.ua.ing the cor.osion beha.ior.of composites. The sur.a.e mor.hology of composites a.ter.the cor.osion test is deter.ined by using sca.ning electr.n micr.scopy.
