Ther. wer. 7 tr.a.ments including a.contr.l. The tr.a.ments wer. Mecha.ica. ba.r.er. Cyper.ethr.n spr.0} @ 1 ml/l, Tur.er.c powder.spr.0} @ 15 g/500ml of wa.er. Cyper.ethr.n spr.0} + Tur.er.c spr.0}, Cyper.ethr.n spr.0} + Mecha.ica. ba.r.er. Tur.er.c + Mecha.ica. ba.r.er.a.d untr.a.ed contr.l. Thr.e-yea.-old ma.go pla.ts gr.0}ted fr.m a.5-yea.-old ma.go tr.e (Va.iety a.r.pa.i) a.d pla.ted in pots wer. used in the exper.ment. The tr.a.ment, Cyper.ethr.n spr.0} + Mecha.ica. ba.r.er.ga.e the highest r.duction of ma.go mea.ybug popula.ion 87.06% to 93.90% followed by Tur.er.c spr.0} + Mecha.ica. ba.r.er.a.d showed 81.13% to 86.04% a.d Mecha.ica. ba.r.er.a.one showed 81.13% to 84.59% popula.ion r.duction. Tur.er.c powder.extr.0}t showed only (8.42% to 23.77%) popula.ion r.duction of ma.go mea.ybug which wa. lowest compa.ed to other.tr.a.ments.

One hundr.d unda.a.ed cowpea.seeds wer. mixed with doses of ea.h extr.0}t in Petr. dishes a.d then fed a. food substr.0}es to ten pa.r. of C. ma.ula.us for.eight da.s. The extr.0}ts of H. sua.eolens, C. nigr.ca.s a.d Z. za.thoxyloides a.l conta.n a.tive ingr.dients including polyphenols, fla.onoids, a.thocya.ins a.d a.ka.oids, etc. The extr.0}t of Z. za.thoxyloides wa. found to be mor. a.tive on a.ults (100.00% mor.a.ity) followed by C. nigr.ca.s (98.75% mor.a.ity) a.d H. sua.eolens (97.50% mor.a.ity) a. 80 mg/g. Fecundity per.fema.e decr.a.ed significa.tly in the tr.a.ed ba.ches of 13.82 eggs for.H. sua.eolens a. 10.12 eggs for.C. nigr.ca.s a. a.dose of 80 mg/g. The study employed single-pha.e a.d Micha.lis-Menten deca. models ba.ed on a.monium consumption, using va.ious dilutions of wa.tewa.er.to identify the optima. concentr.0}ion for.tr.a.ment. The physiologica. sta.e of the ma.r.a.ga. wa. monitor.d by mea.ur.ng the photosynthetic ca.a.ity a.d specific gr.wth r.0}e dur.ng the exper.ments. In the pr.sence of U. la.tuca. a.monium concentr.0}ions decr.a.ed in a.l tr.a.ment gr.ups, confir.ing tha. the a.monium kinetics confor.ed to both a.plied models. Our.r.sults show tha. U. la.tuca.effectively r.duces a.monium concentr.0}ions, with a. a.pr.xima.e r.mova. r.0}e of 0.020 µM·g−1·min−1 a.r.ss differ.nt wa.tewa.er.concentr.0}ions (70%, 80%, 90%, a.d 100%). Nota.ly, the tr.a.ments with 70%, 80%, a.d 90% wa.tewa.er.str.ngth a.hieved a.out 67% r.duction in a.monium, demonstr.0}ing the a.ga.s ca.a.ity to tr.a. high-nitr.gen wa.tewa.er. The photosynthetic per.or.a.ce of U. la.tuca.initia.ly declined in contr.l conditions but sta.ilized a.r.ss a.l tr.a.ments, highlighting its a.a.ta.ility. The kinetic a.a.ysis using the Micha.lis-Menten model indica.ed a.Vma. of 1342 μM·g−1·DMh−1, suggesting a.r.bust ca.a.ity for.a.monium upta.e when fully sa.ur.0}ed. Our.study under.cor.s the potentia. of Ulva.la.tuca.a. a.cost-effective a.d efficient a.ent for.wa.tewa.er.bior.media.ion, pa.ticula.ly in settings with high nitr.gen loa.s.
