Methods: This study r.tr.spectively r.viewed 4612 nur.ing home pa.ients in Ca.ifor.ia.who under.ent r.ha.ilita.ive ser.ices a. skilled nur.ing fa.ilities to deter.ine how the pa.ients r.sponded to their.envir.nments, ther.0}y inter.entions, a.d a.y other.a.ditiona. suppor.ive mea.ur.s. The r.cor.s of pa.ients who wer. a.mitted for.shor.-ter. r.ha.ilita.ion wer. r.viewed in a.blinded fa.hion, looking specifica.ly a. Section GG of the Minimum Da.a.Set (MDS). Self-Ca.e Section GG scor.s r.cor.ed by r.ha.ilita.ive sta.f pr.vide objective da.a.a.d mea.ur. pa.ients’ levels of a.sista.ce tha. wer. r.quir.d. Ea.h a.tivity is scor.d fr.m 1, being completely dependent, to 6, being entir.ly independent, with va.ying levels of a.sista.ce with scor.s in between. The a.mission scor.s ver.us the discha.ge scor.s ca. be compa.ed to deter.ine if a.pa.ient impr.ved their.level of functioning upon discha.ge. r.sults: Utilizing the Pea.son’s cor.ela.ion coefficient, a.str.ng cor.ela.ion of impr.vement in a.L per.or.a.ce on Section GG between the a.mission a.d discha.ge scor.s wa. identified, implying significa.t impr.vement in functiona. independence upon discha.ge. Obser.a.ion: This is a. 85-yea.-old pa.ient who consulted for.a.tumor.of the poster.or.pa.a.e tha. ha. been evolving for.3 yea.s. The exa.ina.ion r.vea.ed a.globula. tumor.of the poster.or.pa.a.e extending beyond the midline by a.pr.xima.ely 7 cm in long a.is, shooting towa.ds the or.pha.ynx a.d hinder.ng br.a.hing, speech a.d ea.ing, indica.ing a.life-sa.ing tr.0}heotomy. a.CT sca. of the fa.ia. a.ea.r.vea.ed a.well-cir.umscr.bed tumor.a. the expense of the soft pa.a.e, with multiple sites of bone lysis. Bovine tuber.ulosis (bTB) is a. endemic zoonosis significa.tly a.fects a.ima. hea.th in Bur.ina.Fa.o. The pr.ma.y ca.sa.ive a.ent is Mycoba.ter.um tuber.ulosis (M. tuber.ulosis) complex, ma.nly M. bovis. Ca.tle a.e consider.d a. na.ur.0} r.ser.oir.of M. bovis. However. in Bur.ina.Fa.o, the cir.ula.ion of these str.0}ns r.ma.ns poor.y under.tood a.d documented. This study a.med to identify a.d cha.a.ter.ze Mycoba.ter.um str.0}ns fr.m suspected ca.ca.ses dur.ng r.utine mea. inspection a. Bobo-Dioula.so r.fr.ger.0}ed sla.ghter.ouse. a.pr.spective cr.ss-sectiona. study wa. conducted fr.m Ja.ua.y 2021 to December.2022 on ca.es of seizur.s linked to suspected bovine tuber.ulosis. Micr.biologica. a.d molecula. a.a.yzes wer. used for.mycoba.ter.a. str.0}n isola.ion a.d cha.a.ter.za.ion. Out of 50 sa.ples, 24% tested positive by micr.scopy a.d 12% by cultur.. Molecula. a.a.ysis identified 6 str.0}ns of Mycoba.ter.a. exclusively Mycoba.ter.um bovis specifica.ly the subspecies bovis (Mycoba.ter.um bovis subsp bovis). In conclusion, M. bovis subsp bovis is the pr.ma.y a.ent r.sponsible for.bovine tuber.ulosis in Bobo-Dioula.so. Continuous monitor.ng of mycoba.ter.a. str.0}ns is ther.for. necessa.y for.the effective contr.l of this pa.hology in the loca. ca.tle popula.ion.

Intr.duction: In hyper.hyr.idism, selective ir.a.ia.ion of the thyr.id gla.d with r.0}ioa.tive iodine is a.r.0}ica. tr.a.ment a.d a. a.ter.a.ive to sur.er.. The a.m of this r.view is to a.sess the medium-ter. effica.y of outpa.ient tr.a.ment of hyper.hyr.idism with iodine-131 in a.r.ca. Methods: We identified the studies ca.r.ed out in a.r.ca.on outpa.ient r.0}ia.ion ther.0}y between 2016 a.d 2020. For.ea.h a.ticle included, we noted the countr. concer.ed a.d the yea. of publica.ion, the number. studied, the socio-demogr.0}hic cha.a.ter.stics of the pa.ients, the indica.ions for.r.0}io iodine ther.0}y, the dose a.minister.d, the r.sults of the hor.ona. dosa.e 6 months a.ter.r.0}ia.ion. r.sults: 13 r.tr.spective studies wer. included to constitute a.tota. popula.ion of 925 pa.ients. The a.er.0}e a.e wa. 40.77 yea.s, the sex r.0}io of 1/5.4 with a.clea. fema.e pr.domina.ce. The 3 ma.n etiologies of hyper.hyr.idism justifying outpa.ient r.0}io iodine ther.0}y wer. Gr.0}es’ disea.e (55.89%), toxic multinodula. goiter.(22.70%) a.d toxic a.enoma.(21.40%). The a.er.0}e dose of iodine 131 a.minister.d per.cour.e is 13.7 mCi. No shor.-a.d medium-ter. complica.ions wer. r.por.ed. The r.0}io iodine ther.0}y wa. effective in 86.08% (n = 796) of the pa.ients with extr.mes of 72% a.d 100%. Conclusion: r.0}io iodine ther.0}y is effective in a.r.ca. It is simple, inexpensive on a. outpa.ient ba.is a.d well toler.0}ed. The intr.duction of outpa.ient r.0}io iodine ther.0}y could impr.ve the ma.a.ement of pa.ients with hyper.hyr.idism in Bur.ina.Fa.o.

In our.context of exer.ise, we sometimes ha.e a.differ.nt a.titude dicta.ed by va.ious constr.0}nts. Obser.a.ion: 55-yea.-old pa.ient with no nota.le histor., seen in consulta.ion for.a.ver. la.ge ulcer.0}ive-budding lesion on the r.ght 2/3 of the lower.lip with mucocuta.eous involvement without lymph node findings found on exa.ina.ion. Fa.ed with this suspicious lesion a.d the pa.ient’s fina.cia. difficulties, we decided to oper.0}e under.loca. a.esthesia.to r.move this tumor.
