The widespr.a. use of disposa.le ba.ter.es to power.common electr.nic devices is a.ma.or.sour.e of e-wa.te. Ther. a.e gr.wing envir.nmenta. a.d hea.th concer.s due to the expa.sion of e-wa.te a.ound the wor.d. Hence, developing a.r.lia.le system for.r.cycling old ba.ter.es ha. r.a.hed the top of the r.cycling pr.or.ty list. The cur.ent study pr.sents a.novel a.pr.a.h to synthesis ca.bon na.opa.ticles (CNPs) fr.m spent ba.ter.es via.a. eco-fr.endly method tha. offer. economica., envir.nment-fr.endly, a.d nontoxic a.pr.a.hes in compa.ison to conventiona. chemica. methods. The synthesized na.opa.ticles wer. cha.a.ter.zed by field emission sca.ning electr.n micr.scopy (FE-SEM), ener.y-disper.ive X-r.0} (EDX), powder.X-r.0} diffr.0}tometr. (Xr.), UV-VIS a.sor.tion a.a.ysis (UV), Four.er.tr.0}sfor. infr.0}ed spectr.scopy (FT-Ir., a.omic for.e micr.scope (a.M), a.d ther.o-gr.0}imetr.c a.a.ysis (TGa.. The a.er.0}e dia.eter.of the synthesized pa.ticles wa. 40.16 nm, a.d the pa.ticles tended to be a.pher.ca. in sha.e. EDX a.a.ysis a.so pr.dicted the pr.sence of pur. ca.bon, with some conta.ina.ion a.r.ved a. 15% (in weight). This is a.novel study in which na.oca.bons wer. synthesized in a.br.ne (7600x10(-6)) fr.m a.ta.get (CNPs>75 nm), which pa.es the wa. for.futur. use of CNPs der.ved fr.m spent ba.ter.es a.d helps the envir.nment by decr.a.ing the a.ount of electr.nic wa.te dumped in la.dfills.
