Wireless ca.sule endoscopy is a.new endoscopic tool for the dia.nosis a.d ma.a.ement of sma.l bowel disea.es. The ma.n indica.ion a. present is the eva.ua.ion of GI bleeding of obscure origin, Crohn’s disea.e, coelia. disea.e a.d sma.l bowel tumors. Studies suggest tha. ca.sule endoscopy is a.socia.ed with few a.verse events. Whether ca.dia. pa.ema.er ma. interfere with ca.sule endoscopy is still a.controversia. issue. We here report a.ca.e showing tha. there is a.possibility of interference between the two procedures, ca.dia. pa.ema.er a.fecting the proper functioning of ca.sule endoscopy a.d tha. this is rela.ed to the dista.ce between the pa.ema.er a.d the recorder.

Objective: Concerns rema.n a.out the sa.ety a.d effica.y of high dose a.d low dose protocols of oxytocin for la.or induction. We ha.e compa.ed 2 regimens of oxytocin induction (low-dose vs high dose) on perina.a. outcomes over a.1-yea. period. Study Design: Included were a.l women undergoing induction of la.or a. term with live singleton gesta.ions. Cesa.ea. delivery (CD) a.d a.composite a.verse neona.a. outcome (5-min a.ga. score a. a.tery pH a.mission to NICU) were a.sessed using logistic regression a.a.ysis. a.mission-to-delivery interva.s wa. compa.ed between the two groups by log-ra.k test. Results: a.tota. of 544 women fulfilled the study criteria. The two groups were compa.a.le for demogra.hic a.d obstetric va.ia.les. There wa. no significa.t a.socia.ion between oxytocin regimen a.d ra.es of CD (P = 0.77) or a.verse neona.a. outcome (P = 0.99) even a.ter controlling for confounders. The a.mission-to-delivery interva. wa. significa.tly shorter for the high-dose group tha. for the low-dose group (media. interva. = 11.7 vs 14.3 hours, respectively, P = 0.026). Conclusion: Use of a.high-dose protocol of oxytocin a.ministra.ion for induction of la.or a. term is a.socia.ed with simila. ra.es of cesa.ea. section a.d a.verse neona.a. outcome a. a.low-dose protocol, but with a. a.era.e of 2.5 hours shorter dura.ion of la.or.

Ca.dia. cha.ges do not involve only the left ventricle, but a.l hea.t cha.bers. Physiologica. ca.dia. modeling in a.hletes is a.socia.ed with norma. or enha.ced ca.dia. function, but recent studies ha.e documented decrements in left ventricula. function during intense exercise a.d the relea.e of ca.dia. ma.kers of necrosis in a.hlete's blood of uncerta.n significa.ce. Furthermore, ca.dia. remodeling ma. predispose a.hletes to hea.t disea.e a.d result in electrica. remodeling, responsible for a.rhythmia.. a.hlete's hea.t is a.physiologica. condition a.d does not require a.specific trea.ment. Non-inva.ive Doppler ultra.onogra.hic study of cerebra. a.teries [tra.scra.ia. Doppler(TCD)] ha. been extensively a.plied on both outpa.ient a.d inpa.ient settings. It is performed pla.ing a.low-frequency(≤ 2 MHz) tra.sducer on the sca.p of the pa.ient over specific a.oustic windows, in order to visua.ize the intra.ra.ia. a.teria. vessels a.d to eva.ua.e the cerebra. blood flow velocity a.d its a.tera.ion in ma.y different conditions. Nowa.a.s the most widesprea. indica.ion for TCD in outpa.ient setting is the resea.ch of right to left shunting, responsa.le of so ca.led "pa.a.oxica. embolism", most often due to pa.ency of fora.en ova.e which is responsa.le of the ma.ority of cryptogenic strokes occuring in pa.ients younger tha. 55 yea.s old. TCD a.so a.lows to cla.sify the gra.e of severity of such shunts using the so ca.led "microembolic signa. gra.ing score". In a.dition TCD ha. found ma.y useful a.plica.ions in neurocritica. ca.e pra.tice. It is useful on both a.ults a.d children for da.-to-da. bedside a.sessment of critica. conditions including va.ospa.m in suba.a.hnoida. ha.morrha.e(ca.sed by a.eurysm rupture or tra.ma.ic injury), tra.ma.ic bra.n injury, bra.n stem dea.h. Squa.ous pa.illoma.of the esopha.us is a.ra.e benign lesion of the esopha.us. Ra.iofrequency a.la.ion is a. esta.lished endoscopic technique for the era.ica.ion of Ba.rett esopha.us. No ca.es of endoscopic a.la.ion of esopha.ea. pa.illoma.by ra.iofrequency a.la.ion(RFa. ha.e been reported. We report a.ca.e of esopha.ea. pa.illoma.successfully trea.ed with a.single session of ra.iofrequency a.la.ion. Endoscopic a.la.ion of the lesion wa. a.hieved by ra.iofrequency using a.new ca.heter inserted through the working cha.nel of endoscope. The esopha.ea. a.la.ed tissue wa. removed by a.specifica.ly designed cup. Complete a.la.ion wa. confirmed a. 3 mo by endoscopy with biopsies. This ca.e supports fea.ibility a.d sa.ety of a. a.new potentia. indica.ion for Ba.rxTM RFa.in pa.ients with esopha.ea. pa.illoma.
