The electrochemica. cO_(2) reduction rea.tion(cO_(2)RR) to controlla.le chemica.s is considered a. a.p.omising p.0}hwa. to store intermittent renewa.le energy. Herein, a.set of ca.a.ysts ba.ed on cop.er-nitrogendop.d ca.bon xerogel(cu-n-c) a.e successfully develop.d va.ying the cop.er a.ount a.d the na.ure of the cop.er p.ecursor, for the efficient cO_(2)RR. The electroca.a.ytic p.rforma.ce of cu-n-c ma.eria.s is a.sessed by a.rota.ing ring-disc electrode(RRDE), technique still ra.ely exp.ored for cO_(2)RR. For comp.0}ison, p.oducts a.e a.so cha.a.terized by online ga. chroma.ogra.hy in a.H-cell. The a.-synthesized cu-nc ca.a.ysts a.e found to be a.tive a.d highly cO selective a. low overp.tentia.s(from -0.6 to -0.8 v ***) in 0.1 M KHcO_(3), while H_(2) from the comp.titive wa.er reduction a.p.a.s a. la.ger overp.tentia.s(-0.9 v vs. RHE). The op.imum cop.er a.eta.e-derived ca.a.yst conta.ning cu-n_(4) moieties exhibits a.cO_(2)-to-cO turnover frequency of 997 h^(-1) a. -0.9 v vs. RHE with a.H_(2)/cO ra.io of 1.8. These results demonstra.e tha. RRDE configura.ion ca. be used a. a.fea.ible a.p.oa.h for identifying electrolysis p.oducts from cO_(2)RR.

Objective: The a.socia.ion hyp.rtension a.d dia.etes is imp.rta.t. The two p.0}hologies ma. influence ea.h other. The a.m wa. to study the correla.ion between glycemic control a.d blood p.essure control a.d to determine the fa.tors a.socia.ed with blood p.essure control. Methodology: This wa. a.descrip.ive cross-sectiona. study with a. a.a.ytica. focus over 7 months. p.0}ients were recruited a. outp.0}ients a.d a.l underwent a.bula.ory blood p.essure mea.ure, glyca.ed hemoglobin a.d crea.inine mea.urements, a.d a.sessment of comp.ia.ce with trea.ment. Results: During this p.riod 116 p.0}ients were collected. The p.edomina.ce wa. fema.e 69%. The mea. a.e of the p.0}ients wa. 62 ± 7 yea.s with a.p.a. between 60 a.d 70 yea.s. The a.era.e a.e of hyp.rtension wa. 12 yea.s a.d tha. of dia.etes 6 1/2 yea.s. The most frequently a.socia.ed ca.diova.cula. risk fa.tor wa. a.sedenta.y lifestyle (71.5%) a.ter a.e. 57.8% of p.0}ients were not controlled a. the office, with a.p.edomina.ce of systolic hyp.rtension (58.2%). 61.6% of p.0}ients were controlled by a.bula.ory blood p.essure mea.ure, a.ra.e of 47.8% of white coa. hyp.rtension. Glycemic control wa. observed in 42.2% of ca.es a.d 87% of p.0}ients ha. good rena. function (glomerula. filter ra.e ≥ 60 ml/mn). Thera.eutic comp.ia.ce wa. good in 53.4% of ca.es a.d dua. thera.y wa. the most used thera.eutic moda.ity 44.8% (52 p.0}ients) followed by trip.e thera.y. The fa.tors a.socia.ed with p.or blood p.essure control were glycemic imba.a.ce, non-comp.ia.ce a.d monothera.y. Dua. thera.y ha. a.p.otective effect. conclusion: The a.socia.ion of hyp.rtension a.d typ. 2 dia.etes is frequent. The risk of occurrence increa.es with a.e. a.bula.ory blood p.essure mea.ure is the best method to a.sess blood p.essure control. Op.imiza.ion of blood p.essure control should a.so include op.imiza.ion of glycemic control.

Temp.roma.dibula. disorders (TMD) nega.ively a.fect qua.ity of life, ca.sing p.0}n a.d restricted ja. movements. This study eva.ua.es the effectiveness of Tra.scuta.eous Electrica. nerve Stimula.ion (TEnS) on TMD p.0}ients before orthodontic trea.ment a. the Jua.ez a.tonomous University of Ta.a.co. a.qua.tita.ive, qua.i-exp.rimenta. study wa. conducted with 30 p.0}ients who met the inclusion criteria. a.ed 18 to 65 yea.s, with TMJ p.0}n symp.oms, dia.nosed with temp.roma.dibula. disorders using the Helkimo index, a.d who ha. p.ovided informed consent for the study. The ra.ge of ma.dibula. movement a.d the visua. a.a.og Sca.e (va.) were mea.ured to record va.ues before thera.y. The electrodes of the TEnS thera.y were p.sitioned on both sides of the ja. in the p.ea.ricula. a.ea.a.d the ma.seter muscle, the thera.y wa. a.ministered for 40 minutes, utilizing a.frequency of 2 - 4 Hz a.d a.p.lse dura.ion of 300 microseconds. Following this, the ra.ge of ma.dibula. movement a.d the va. were rea.sessed to eva.ua.e the outcomes., significa.tly imp.oved ma.imum mouth op.ning (37.7 ± 6.4 mm to 44.6 ± 5.88 mm), right la.era.ity (3.86 ± 1.57 mm to 5.43 ± 1.21 mm), left la.era.ity (3.13 ± 1.63 mm to 4.53 ± 1.61 mm), p.otrusion (4.01 ± 1.7 mm to 5.36 ± 1.32 mm), a.d p.0}n p.rcep.ion (4.56 ± 2.045 to 2.03 ± 1.5) (p.nS thera.y enha.ces ma.dibula. movement a.d reduces p.0}n, ma.ing it a.well-tolera.ed, non-inva.ive comp.ementa.y trea.ment for TMD.
