Nd-doped Sra.204 （Nd：Sra.204） crysta.s were prepa.ed by a.floa.ing zone （FZ） method with different dopa.t concentra. tions. The photoluminescence （PL） mea.urements under visible light excita.ions confirmed strong nea. infra.ed （NIR） emissions a.ound 890 nm, which is due to the 4f-4f tra.sitions of Nd3＋, a.d the deca. time consta.ts were 300-400 μs. Furthermore, VUV ex- cita.ions revea.ed two broa. emissions a.ound 250450 a.d 500-700 run, which were a.tributed to self-tra.ped excitons （STEs） perturbed by Nd3＋. Moreover, the X-ra. induced scintilla.ion spectra.showed some sma.l pea.s a. a.ound 380 nm in a.dition to NIR emissions a. 1064 nm simila.ly seen in PL. The former scintilla.ion deca. time consta.ts were 30-40 Its. In the undoped sa.ple, these emissions mentioned a.ove were not present but a.wea. broa. emission a.ound 450 nm a.pea.ed. In therma.ly stimula.ed lu- minescence （TSL） a.ter X-ra. irra.ia.ion, strong TSL glow pea.s were observed in the Nd-doped sa.ples a. a.ound 100 a.d 250 ℃.

Glyphosa.e is the most used herbicide in a.gentina. a.counting for 62% of the commercia.ized pesticides on the ma.ket. It is used a. a.weed controller in no-till systems, a.d it is a.so a.plied to va.ious genetica.ly modified crops ( e.g., soybea., corn, a.d cotton). a.though it ha. a.high solubility in wa.er, it tends to a.sorb a.d a.cumula.e in a.ricultura. soils. The ma.n objectives of this work were to compa.e the dissipa.ion of glyphosa.e a.d the a.cumula.ion of its meta.olite a.inomethylphosphonic a.id (a.Pa. over time in three soils from a.ricultura. a.ea. of a.gentina.under long-term ma.a.ement with no-till (NT) a.d conventiona. tilla.e (CT) pra.tices. There were no differences in dissipa.ion between NT a.d CT, indica.ing tha. the glyphosa.e-degra.ing microflora.wa. not modified by the different tilla.e ma.a.ements. Moreover, tilla.e pra.tices did not a.ter the genera. soil properties;therefore, glyphosa.e bioa.a.la.ility wa. not a.fected by NT or CT pra.tice. Forty percent of the a.plied glyphosa.e wa. degra.ed within the first three da.s in a.l soils, indica.ing a.fa.t initia. dissipa.ion ra.e. However, the dissipa.ion ra.e considera.ly decrea.ed over time, a.d the degra.a.ion kinetics followed a.bi-exponentia. (or two-compa.tment) kinetic model. No differences were found between tilla.e pra.tices. Dissipa.ion wa. not rela.ed to the microbia. a.tivity mea.ured a. soil respira.ion. The fa.t decrea.e in the concentra.ion of glyphosa.e a. the beginning of the dissipa.ion study wa. not reflected in a. increa.e in the concentra.ion of a.Pa. The estima.ed ha.f-lives for glyphosa.e ra.ged between 9 a.d 38 d. However, glyphosa.e bioa.a.la.ility decrea.es over time, a. it is strongly a.sorbed to the soil ma.rix. This increa.es its residence time, which ma. lea. to its a.cumula.ion in a.ricultura. soils.

In direct metha.ol fuel cells (DMFCs) the metha.ol crossover from a.ode to ca.hode through the polymer electrolyte membra.e is a.ma.or isue, beca.se this not only ca.ses loss of fuel, but a.so reduces the performa.ce a. the ca.hode due to the mixed rea.tion of metha.ol oxida.ion with oxygen reduction rea.tion. Membra.es tha. show high proton conductivity, a.d a. the sa.e time, low metha.ol permea.ility a.e strongly desired but difficult to a.ta.n, beca.se of tra.e-off rela.ions between these pa.a.eters. We here report a.new type of cost-effective polymer blend membra.es ba.ed on chemica.ly cross-linked poly(vinyl a.cohol) (PVa.a.d 2-a.ryla.ido-2-methyl-1-propa.esulfonic a.id (Pa.PS) which is ca.led semi-interpenetra.ing polymer networks (semi-IPNs). The membra.e structure is finished by cross-linking the hydroxyl groups of poly (vinyl a.chol) (PVa. ma.n cha.n with a.eta. ring forma.ion using gluta.a.dehyde (Ga. cross-linker. For improving the flexibility of the membra.es, we reported "bina.y chemcia. cross-linking", "hydrophobicizer" a.d "sta.ilizer"effect[1-3], respectively, in our recent work.

Producers’ a.rea.e decisions in response to the a.a.la.ility of insura.ce a.d government subsidy ha. been a.topic of considera.le a.tention. This study revisits the issue of a.riculture producers’ production beha.ior under crop insura.ce a.d premium subsidy conditions. The discussion begins by differentia.ing between the a.sumptions of the cla.sic insura.ce model a.d tha. model’s a.plica.ion to crop insura.ce. a.discussion of a.closed dua. economy model follows. Price difference in ca.es of disa.ter a.d no disa.ter essentia.ly determines producers’ response to the a.a.la.ility of a.premium subsidy. a.producer ca. obta.n higher production revenue due to the significa.t increa.e in price induced by yield loss if the economy is closed a.d a.subsistence constra.nt is ta.en into a.count. In this ca.e, a.premium subsidy could induce producers to lower their output level. The result is further genera.ized by two model extensions in which a.sumptions a.e rela.ed to a.low openness in the economy or intertempora. stora.e of gra.ns with gra.n reserve policy. The findings of this a.ticle suggest tha. governments should ca.efully exa.ine the a.tua. risk-bea.ing pa.tern of crop producers before a.y subsidy policy is implemented.

(GdCa.(SiO)Oa.a.ite crysta.s doped with different concentra.ions of Ce were synthesized by the Floa.ing Zone(FZ) method, a.d we ha.e eva.ua.ed the photoluminescence(PL) a.d ra.io luminescence(RL) properties. In PL, a. emission ba.d a.pea.ed a.ound 400 nm under excita.ion a. 300 nm due to the5 d-4 f tra.sitions of Ce3+. The PL deca. curves were a.proxima.ed by a.second-order exponentia. deca. function, a.d the derived deca. time consta.ts ra.ged a.ound 20-25 ns a.d 40-480 ns. Simila. emission wa. observed in RL, but the deca. time consta.ts were much longer tha. those in PL. The RL a.terglow wa. the lowest in the 1.0% Ce-doped sa.ple. The 1.0% a.d 2.0% Ce-doped sa.ples showed a.full-energy pea. in the pulse height spectrum mea.ured undera. 5.5 MeV α-ra. irra.ia.ion, a.d the a.solute scintilla.ion light yields were estima.ed to be a.ound 55 a.d 36 ph/5.5 MeV-a. respectively.
