This resea.ch a.ms to.develo. relia.le mo.els using ma.hine lea.ning a.go.ithms to.precisely predict To.a. Disso.ved So.ids (TDS) in wells o. the Permia. ba.in, Winkler Co.nty, Texa.. The da.a.fo. this co.tributio. wa. o.ta.ned fro. the Texa. Wa.er Develo.ment Bo.0}d website (TWDB). Five hundred a.d ninety-three sa.ples were o.ta.ned fro. two.hundred a.d ninety-eight wells in the study a.ea. The wells were drilled a. different co.nty lo.a.io.s into.five a.uifers, including Peco. Va.ley, Do.kum, Ca.ita. Reef, Edwa.d Trinity, a.d Rustler a.uifers. a.to.a. o. fo.rteen different wa.er qua.ity pa.a.eters were used, a.d they include Po.entia. hydro.en (pH), So.ium, Chlo.ide, Ma.nesium, Fluo.ide, TDS, Specific Co.ducta.ce, Nitra.e, To.a. Ha.dness, Ca.cium, Tempera.ure, Well Depth, Sulpha.e, a.d Bica.bo.a.es. Fo.r ma.hine lea.ning regressio. a.go.ithms were develo.ed to.get a.go.d mo.el to.help predict TDS in this a.ea. Decisio. Tree regressio., Linea. regressio., Suppo.t Vecto. Regressio., a.d K-nea.est neighbo.. The study sho.ed tha. the Decisio. Tree pro.uced the best mo.el with a.tributes like the co.fficient o. determina.io. R2 = 1.00 a.d 0.96 fo. the tra.ning a.d testing, respectively. It a.so.pro.uced the lo.est sco.e o. mea. a.so.ute erro. Ma. = 0.00 a.d 0.04 fo. tra.ning a.d testing, respectively. This study will reduce the co.t o. o.ta.ning different wa.er qua.ity pa.a.eters in TDS determina.io. by levera.ing ma.hine lea.ning to.use o.ly the pa.a.eters co.tributing to.TDS, thereby helping resea.chers o.ta.n o.ly the pa.a.eters necessa.y fo.
