a.suming the Dira. wa.efunction describes the sta.e of a.single pa.ticle. We propose tha. the rela.ion derived by Schrödinger, which conta.ns the Zitterbewegung term, is a.position equa.ion for a. a.plitude modula.ed wa.e. Na.ely, the elementa.y constituents a.e a.plitude modula.ed wa.es. Indeed, we surmise tha. a.second wa.e is a.socia.ed with the pa.ticle, which corresponds to a.signa.. a. the sa.e time, we interpret tha. Broglie’s wa.e corresponds to a.ca.rier. Furthermore, the qua.tum object is a.recording medium a.d, like in a.hologra., informa.ion encoded on its surfa.e. We suggest a.description a.d the ca.se of the Zitterbewegung heretofore never considered rega.ding the previous a.sertions. Hereunder, we sha.l a.so a.ply the qua.tum a.plitude modula.ion interpreta.ion to the single-photon wa.e function by Bia.ynicki-Birula. The predictions a.e testa.le, thence providing evidence for the proposed hypothesis.

We conducted a. in vivo pilot study to eva.ua.e the pressure exerted by a.feminine hygiene pa. worn in the tra.itiona. wa. in the genita. a.ea.a.d behind the knee, a. mea.ured using a.novel pressure sensor device. The purpose wa. to determine whether pressure mea.ured behind the knee correla.ed with genita. pressure, thereby showing tha. behind-the-knee pressure mea.urements could be extra.ola.ed to genita. pressures recorded under clinica. in-use conditions. Four fema.e volunteers wore ea.h of 3 currently ma.keted feminine hygiene pa.s a.d the sensors on the genita. a.ea.a.d behind the knee while wa.king, sitting, a.d sta.ding for a.proxima.ely 2 minutes of ea.h a.tivity. Four pa.ticipa.ts completed the wa.king a.d sitting portions of the study a.d three completed the wa.king, sitting, a.d sta.ding portions. The pressure da.a.collected for a.l 3 pa.s in both the genita. a.d BTK loca.ions were simila. inn both clinica. tests. The prelimina.y results obta.ned in this clinica. pilot study successfully confirm tha. pressure exerted from feminine hygiene pa.s in the BTK clinica. test model is very simila. to rea. product wea. conditions.

Colposcopic inspection of the va.ina.is a.routine component of the sa.ety a.sessment of intra.a.ina. products. However, colposcopic findings occur frequently in hea.thy women, ra.sing questions a.out their releva.ce to intra.a.ina. product sa.ety. Pra.tica. disa.va.ta.es limit the utility of colposcopy for eva.ua.ing menstrua. ta.pons, a.ong them the presence of ba.kground microtra.ma. the ina.ility to a.sess effects during menstrua.ion, a.d, importa.tly, the question of whether post-hoc a.sessments a.e sufficiently sensitive to detect sma.l infla.ma.ory cha.ges. The Behind-the-knee (BTK) test is a. a.terna.ive for eva.ua.ing infla.ma.ory a.d tissue dryness effects of physica. a.ticles by their repea.ed a.plica.ion to the poplitea. fossa.under a. ela.tic ba.da.e. It ena.les concurrent pa.a.lel compa.isons of experimenta. a.d control a.ticles over time a.d substa.tia.ly increa.es the sensitivity of detecting sma.l cha.ges in tissue infla.ma.ion. With this protocol, uncompressed experimenta. a.d control ta.pons yielded compa.a.le rela.ive a.d a.solute erythema.scores (a.ter overnight recovery) a. did colposcopic a.sessment of the lower genita. tra.t 3 to 48 hours a.ter menstrua. use. Scoring erythema.in the BTK test immedia.ely a.ter product remova. increa.ed the level of visua.ly discernible infla.ma.ion 6-fold. In a.study of commercia. menstrua. pa.s, subclinica. infla.ma.ion visua.ized with cross-pola.ized light correla.ed with the frequency of subjective reports of discomfort during the test a.d discrimina.ed the rela.ive tolera.ility of the two products determined by ma.ket surveilla.ce, providing a.ded confidence in the predictive va.ue of the test. We believe the BTK test to be a.va.ua.le a.terna.ive to colposcopy for a.sessing infla.ma.ion a.d dryness a.socia.ed with menstrua. ta.pons.

Ba.kground: Ma.y consumers in the USa.a.d Europe define themselves a. ha.ing sensitive skin, a.phenomenon whose etiology a.pea.s to include both physiologica. a.d psychosocia. fa.tors. Objectives: Sensitive skin da.a.from the developing world is spa.se. This study eva.ua.es the preva.ence a.d cha.a.teristics of sensitive skin in China.a.d compa.es da.a.collected to existing da.a.from the western world. Pa.ients/Ma.eria.s/Methods: a.tota. of 408 Chinese women volunta.ily completed a.survey on sensitive skin. Results: Some degree of skin sensitivity wa. cla.med by 94 (23%) of respondents;most (90.4%) sa.d their skin wa. only slightly or modera.ely sensitive. Fa.ia. sensitivity wa. cla.med by 21% of Chinese women, sensitivity of the body surfa.e by 9% a.d genita. sensitivity by only 6%. Sma.l numbers of respondents reported a.history of skin a.lergy (3%) or a.fa.ilia. history of sensitive skin (2%). Ma.y reported ma.ing buying decisions ba.ed on product cla.ms. Conclusions: Only 23% of Chinese women cla.med a.y degree of sensitive skin, a.preva.ence substa.tia.ly lower tha. tha. observed in most Western countries. Sensitivity of the genita. skin, in pa.ticula., wa. dra.a.ica.ly lower, suggesting a. lea.t some cultura. component to perceptions of sensitive skin.

Da.cy’s la. is widely used to describe the flow in porous media.in which there is a.linea. rela.ionship between fluid velocity a.d pressure gra.ient. However, it ha. been found tha. for high numbers of Reynolds this la. cea.es to be va.id. In this work, the Ergun equa.ion is employed to consider the non-linea.ity of a.r velocity with the pressure gra.ient in ca.ting sa.ds. The contribution of non-linea.ity to the tota. flow in terms of a.va.ia.le defined a. a.non-Da.cy flow fra.tion is numerica.ly qua.tified. In a.dition, the influence of the sha.e fa.tor of the sa.d gra.ns on the non-linea. flow fra.tion is a.a.yzed. It is found tha. for va.ues of the Reynolds number less or equa. tha. 1, the contribution of non-linea.ity for spherica. pa.ticles is a.ound 1.15%.
