In Indera.a.a.(southea.t Sa.a.),tri-spine horseshoe cra. Soil flushing technology is a. ＇in situ＇ remedia.ion technique involving the injection of a.liquid solution. a.plica.ions of the soil flushing technique depend on the lea.ha.ility of the polluta.ts a.d the environmenta. compa.ibility a.d tota. volumes of the solutions used. Therefore, experiments should consider these a.pects by simula.ing the rea. phenomenon a.d using the most suita.le rea.ents for the lea.ha.ility of the different minera.ogica. forms present. Thirty- one la.ora.ory tests were ca.ried out （in ba.ch a.d becker） to the complete exha.stion of the lea.hing ca.a.ity a.cording to pH mea.urements. The rea.tion kinetics were studied by producing more tha. 300 solution sa.ples during which the principa. hea.y meta. concentra.ions, pH a.d Eh were mea.ured. Lea.hing solutions conta.ning va.ious concentra.ions of hydrochloric, sulphuric, nitric a.d a.etic a.ids were used. Mercury wa. lea.hed using pota.sium iodide a.d a.etic a.id （pH 2）. a.a.ytes such a. a.senic, ca.mium, mercury, lea., selenium a.d zinc proved to be lea.ha.le in the investiga.ed soil la.er. However, high remova. efficiencies could be obta.ned using different typologica. solutions, concentra.ions a.d volumes. The pa.er discusses the a.plica.ility of the soil flushing technique for different hea.y meta. contents a.d pH conditions of the flushing solution.
