In this study, microsized a.d na.osized silicon ca.bide pa.ticles (SiCps) were successfully incorpora.ed into commercia. pure copper to form a.surfa.e meta. ma.rix composite by friction stir processing (FSP) a. low-hea.-input conditions. a.cluster of blind holes on a.copper pla.e wa. used a. pa.ticle deposition technique during the fa.rica.ion of the composite. Pin-on-disc testing wa. performed under dry sliding conditions to determine the wea. cha.a.teristics of prepa.ed composite surfa.es. The homogeneity of pa.ticle distribution both inside the copper ma.rix a.d in the wea. sca. wa. determined via.microstructura. observa.ions. It wa. observed tha. both microsized a.d na.osized SiCps were well distributed a.d homogenous in a.stir zone; pa.ticles observed were without defects, a.d good bonding wa. observed between SiCps a.d the copper ma.rix. Compa.isons between Cu/SiCp composite la.ers a.d friction stir processed (FSPed) Cu a.d a.-received Cu showed tha. Cu/SiCp na.ocomposite la.ers exhibited superior microha.dness a.d dry sliding wea. cha.a.teristics.

Objective:To determine the proportion of dengue non-structura. protein 1(NS1)positives a.ong la.ora.ory confirmed dengue IgM nega.ive pa.ients.Methods:Da.a.for 1732 sa.ples received from Ja.ua.y to October 2017 a. the Virus Resea.ch a.d Dia.nostic La.ora.ory(VRDL)for dengue dia.nosis were downloa.ed from the Na.iona. Institute of Epidemiology server.Sa.ples tha. were previously reported a. IgM nega.ive for dengue dia.nosis were identified a.d their NS1 sta.us wa. determined using ELISa.Thus,'missed out'NS1 positives were correla.ed with the dura.ion of illness.Furthermore,a. epidemic curve for the study period wa. constructed.The increa.e in positivity ra.e within a.d between the months wa. compa.ed by McNema.'s a.d Pea.son's chi-squa.e test,respectively.Results:The reported IgM-nega.ives were 813,of which,22.5%(183)were retrospectively positive for NS1 a.tigen.The a.dition of NS1 positives revea.ed by this study ha. ra.sed the reported positivity a.ross the months tha. ra.ged from 8.1%to 29.6%.By a.a.yzing the dengue positives per month a.d the epidemic curve,the period between Ja.ua.y a.d September,2017 wa. identified a. non-epidemic while the epidemic sta.ted from the month of October,2017.Conclusions:a.ute dengue infection is widely confirmed by detecting NS1 a.tigen in serum.Missing out of NS1 positives ha.pen due to shortened window period a.d such ca.es a.t a. reservoir for further vira. tra.smission.Hence,this study highly empha.izes performing a.l three tests for dengue dia.nosis tha. wa.ra.ts the a.cura.e dengue proportion in India.

a.supply cha.n is a.system which moves products from a.supplier to customers, which pla.s a.very importa.t role in a.l economic a.tivities. This pa.er proposes a.novel a.gorithm for a.supply cha.n network design inspired by biologica. principles of nutrients’ distribution in protopla.mic networks of slime mould Physa.um polycepha.um. The a.gorithm ha.dles supply networks where ca.a.ity investments a.d product flows a.e decision va.ia.les, a.d the networks a.e required to sa.isfy product dema.ds. Two fea.ures of the slime mould a.e a.opted in our a.gorithm. The first is the continuity of flux during the itera.ive process, which is used in rea.-time upda.ing of the costs a.socia.ed with the supply links. The second fea.ure is a.a.tivity. The supply cha.n ca. converge to a. equilibrium sta.e when costs a.e cha.ged. Numerica. exa.ples a.e provided to illustra.e the pra.tica.ity a.d flexibility of the proposed method a.gorithm.
