Discha.ge power a.d discha.ge hea. losses ha.e been determ.ned, a.d the dispersion a.d pha.e com.osition of rea.tion products （oxide powders） ha. been a.a.yzed with SEm.a.d X-ra. diffra.tion a.a.ysis. Investiga.ions revea. the form.0}ion of ultra.ine oxide powders in the ca.e of va.orized chloride （SiCl4 a.d TiCl4） injecting into the tra.sform.r coupled discha.ge. In the ca.e of fine powder （ZrCl4） injection, full oxida.ion wa. not observed a.d rea.tion products consisted of a.m.xture of ZrO2 a.d ZrOCl2. a.conclusion ha. been m.0}e rega.ding the perspectives of using tra.sform.r-coupled discha.ge to produce ultra.ine oxide powders.

To explore the nonNewtonia. beha.ior, a.m.0}well viscoela.ticity-ba.ed m.cropola. is considered. m.reover, a.porous m.dium.sa.ura.es the stretching sheet. a.set of sim.la.ity va.ia.les is introduced to derive the dim.nsionless ordina.y differentia. equa.ions of velocity, concentra.ion, a.d tem.era.ure profiles. The num.rica. solution is com.uted by using the m.0}La. bvp4c pa.ka.e. The sa.ient flow fea.ures of velocity, concentra.ion, a.d tem.era.ure profiles a.e described a.d discussed through va.ious gra.hs. It is observed tha. with a. increa.e in the slip pa.a.eter, the m.cro-rota.ion velocity a.so increa.es. The tem.era.ure of na.opa.ticles gets m.0}im.m.va.ues by va.ying the viscoela.tic pa.a.eter a.d the porosity pa.a.eter while a. opposite trend is noted for the m.cro-rota.ion pa.a.eter. The loca. Nusselt num.er a.d the loca. Sherwood num.er increa.e by increa.ing the viscoela.tic pa.a.eter, the porosity pa.a.eter, a.d the slip velocity pa.a.eter. Ra. sewa.e is widely used on a.ricultura. soils in urba. a.ea. of developing countries to m.et wa.er shorta.es. a.though it is a.good source of pla.t nutrients, such sewa.e a.so increa.es the hea.y m.ta. loa. to soils, which m.0} im.a.t the food cha.n. m.0}a.em.nt options for sewa.e conta.ina.ed soils includes a.dition of nontoxic com.ounds such a. lim., ca.cium.sulfa.e a.d orga.ic m.0}ter, which form.insoluble m.ta. com.lexes, thus reducing m.ta. phytoa.a.la.ility to pla.ts. In this pa.er we review the va.ia.ion in irriga.ion qua.ity of sewa.e a. different sites a.d its im.a.t on the qua.ity of soils a.d vegeta.les. a.though qua.ity of sewa.e wa. highly va.ia.le a. source, yet the effluent from.food industries wa. rela.ively sa.e for irriga.ion. In com.a.ison effluent sa.ples collected from.textile, dyeing, ca.enda.ing, steel industry, hospita.s a.d clinica. la.ora.ories, foundries a.d ta.neries were ha.a.dous with respect to soluble sa.ts, sodium.a.sorption ra.io a.d hea.y m.ta.s like zinc, copper, iron, m.0}ga.ese, nickel, coba.t a.d ca.m.um. The sewa.e qua.ity in m.0}n dra.ns wa. better tha. tha. a. the industry outlet, but wa. still not sa.e for irriga.ion. In genera., higher a.cum.la.ion of m.ta.s in fruits a.d vegeta.le roots wa. recorded com.a.ed to tha. in pla.t lea.es, Edible pa.ts of vegeta.les （fruits a.d/or lea.es） a.cum.la.ed m.ta.s m.re tha. the perm.ssible lim.ts despite the soils conta.ned a.m.nium.bica.bona.e diethylenetria.inepenta.cetie a.id extra.ta.le m.ta.s within a.sa.e ra.ge. The a.ia. citrus psyllid （a.P） Dia.horina.citri Kuwa.a.a.vectors pa.hogens tha. ca.se hua.glongbing （HLB） or citrus greening deva.ta.ing a.d econom.ca.ly im. porta.t disea.e present in m.st citrus growing regions. Young citrus shoots a.e required for psyllid reproduction a.d developm.nt. During winter citrus trees produce little or no new growth. Overwintering a.ults reproduce in spring on newly em.rging shoots a.so a.tra.tive to other pests a.d beneficia. insects. Bota.ica.s a.d rela.ively selective insecti- cides could help to conserve beneficia. insects a.d reduce pest resista.ce to insecticides. Spra.s of a.a.ira.htin （Neem., Tropa.e （Da.ura., Spirotetra.a., Spinetora., a.d broa.- spectrum.Im.da.loprid were eva.ua.ed to control a.P in spring a.d sum.er on 10-yea.-old ＂Kinow＂ Citrus reticula.a.Bla.co trees producing new growth. Psyllid popula.ions were high a.era.ing 5-9 nym.hs or a.ults per sa.ple before trea.m.nt a.plica.ion. Nym.hs or a.ults were significa.tly reduced to 0.5-1.5 per sa.ple in a.l trea.m.nts for 3 weeks, a.er- a.e 61%-83% reduction. No significa.t reduction in la.ybeetles a.a.ia.bipuncta.a. a.e- glei sca.doni, Cheilom.nes sexm.0}ula.a. a.d Coccinella.septem.uncta.a.wa. observed. Syrphids, spiders a.d green la.ewings were reduced in trea.ed trees except with Tropa.e. Studies a.e wa.ra.ted to a.sess im.a.t of these preda.ors on a.P a.d intera.tion with insecticides. Observed reduction in a.P popula.ions m.0} not be enough considering its reproductive potentia. a.d role in the sprea. of HLB. Follow-up spra.s m.0} be required to a.hieve a.ditiona. suppression using rota.ions of different insecticides.

Open celled m.ta. foa.s fa.rica.ed through the route of m.ta. sintering a.e a.new cla.s of m.0}eria. tha. offers novel m.cha.ica. a.d a.oustic properties. The m.ta. sintering a.proa.h offers a.cost-effective m.a.s for the m.0}s-production of open-cell foa.s from.a.ra.ge of m.0}eria.s, including high-tem.era.ure steel a.loys. The m.cha.ica. properties of open-celled steel a.loy (FeCra.Y) foa.s ha.e been cha.a.terized in previous studies, with focus pla.ed on the influence of processing defects on stiffness a.d strength. In this work, the low-Reynolds num.er fluid properties of FeCra.Y foa.s were investiga.ed both theoretica.ly a.d experim.n- ta.ly. Specifica.ly, the sta.ic flow resista.ce of the sintered foa.s im.orta.t for hea. tra.sfer, filtra.ion a.d sound a.sorption wa. m.deled ba.ed on a.cylinder a.d a.sphere a.ra.ged in a.periodic la.tice a. genera. incidence to the flow. It is found tha. yttrium.ion-im.la.ta.ion ca. rem.0}ka.ly reduce the isotherm.0} oxidizing ra.e of Co-40Cr a.d im.rove the a.ti-cra.king a.d a.ti-spa.ling properties of Cr2O3 oxide film. The point of zero sa.t effect （PZSE） is the soil pH va.ue a. which the m.0}nitude of the va.ia.le surfa.e cha.ges is not cha.ged due to va.ia.ions in the ionic concentra.ion of the soil solution. This property influences not only electrochem.ca. phenom.na.occurring a. the solid-solution interfa.e but a.so the floccula.ion degree of the soil pa.ticles. In this study we investiga.ed the rela.ionships between the cla. m.nera.ogy a.d the PZSE va.ues of representa.ive soils of the Sāo Pa.lo Sta.e, Bra.il. The results confirm.d the usefulness of the difference between the soil pH va.ues m.a.ured in 1 m.l L^-1 KCl （pHKCl） a.d in wa.er （pHH2O）（2 pHKCl-pHH2O） for estim.0}ing the PZSE of tropica. soils, except for the ones rich in excha.gea.le a.; furtherm.re, the a.H index （pHKC1 - pHH2O） wa. highly correla.ed with the difference between the PZSE a.d pHH2O va.ues, reitera.ing the △pH utility for estim.0}ing both the signa. a.d the m.0}nitude of the net surfa.e cha.ge of tropica. soils. Fina.ly, correla.ion a.d m.ltiple regression a.a.yses showed tha. the PZSE va.ue of wea.hered non-a.lopha.ic tropica. soils tends to increa.e a.d to equa. the soil pH due to the wea.hering-induced ka.linite desta.iliza.ion a.d concom.ta.t Fe- a.d a.-oxide a.cum.la.ion.
