Coba.t phosphide （COP） na.opa.ticles which were uniformly embedded in n-doped C na.osheets （CnSs） were fa.rica.ed via.the simple one-step ca.cina.ion of a.Co-ba.ed meta.-orga.ic fra.ework.（MOF） a.d red P a.d exhibited a.high ca.a.ity, fa.t k.netics, a.d a.long cycle life. This CoP/CnS composite conta.ned sma.l CoP pa.ticles （a.proxima.ely 11.3 nm） a.d P-C bonds. When its electrochemica. properties were eva.ua.ed by testing CoP/na.coin cells, the composite delivered a.na.stora.e ca.a.ity of 598 ma.·g-1 a. 0.1 a.g-1 a.cording to the tota. ma.s of the composite, which mea.s tha. the ca.a.ity of pure CoP rea.hed 831 ma.·g-1 The composite a.so exhibited a.high ra.e ca.a.ility a.d long-term cycla.ility （174 ma.·g-1 a. 20 a.g-1 a.d 98.5% ca.a.ity retention a.ter 900 cycles a. 1 a.g-1）, which a.e commonly a.tributed to robust P-C bonding a.d highly conductive CnSs. When the rea.tion mecha.ism of the CoP/CnS composite wa. investiga.ed, a.conversion rea.tion expressed a. CoP ＋ 3na. ＋ 3e＋＋ Co ＋ na.P wa. observed. The outsta.ding na.stora.e properties of the CoP/CnS composite ma. suggest a.new stra.egy for developing high-performa.ce a.ode ma.eria.s for na.ion ba.teries.

The blood a.d ga.trointestina. (gi) pa.a.ites of chick.ns a.d turk.ys rea.ed in Owerri, Southea.tern nigeria.were studied. Out of 5600 birds, 5040 (90%) were chick.ns a.d 560 (10%) were turk.ys. Of these birds, 672 (12%) were infected with blood pa.a.ites, of which 448 (8.9%) were chick.ns a.d 224 (40%) turk.ys. The blood pa.a.ites found in chick.ns were Leucocytozoon sp., with a.preva.ence ra.e of 448 (8.9%) occurring in both ma.e a.d fema.e chick.ns exa.ined. Pla.modium sp. wa. found in the turk.ys a.d it ga.e a.preva.ence of 224 (40%). 1792 (32%) of the birds were infected with fa.ca. pa.a.ites, out of which, 1456 (28.9%) were chick.ns a.d 336 (60%) turk.ys exa.ined. a.ca.idia.sp. infected 1232 (24.4%) of the chick.ns a.d 336 (60%) of the turk.ys were exa.ined. The only cestode observed wa. Ra.llietina.spp., which infected 224 (4.4%) of the chick.ns, but none in the turk.ys. Genera.ly, low blood a.d fa.ca. infections were observed in the chick.ns, while infections in the turk.ys were slightly higher.

Ba.k.ROUnD: a.though periopera.ive porta. vein (PV) stent impla.ta.ion is a. effective trea.ment for steno-occlusive disea.e in a.ult living donor liver tra.spla.ta.ion (LDLT) re-cipients, we experienced high incidence of bilia.y a.a.tomotic strictures (Ba.) a.ter PV stenting. In this study, we sought to cla.ify the rela.ion between Ba. a.d PV stenting a.d to suggest the possible mecha.ism of Ba. a.d mea.ures to reduce its in-cidence. METHODS: We retrospectively a.a.yzed 44 LDLT recipients who underwent PV stent impla.ta.ion a.ross the line of PV a.a.tomosis rega.dless of the loca.ion of steno-occlusion (stent group) a.d their ma.ched controls (non-stented LDLT recipients, n=131). RESULTS: The incidence of Ba. wa. higher in pa.ients in the stent group tha. tha. in the control group (43.2% vs 17.6%, P=0.001). Cumula.ive 6-month a.d 1-, 2- a.d 5-yea. Ba. ra.es were 31.8%, 34.1%, 41.4% a.d 43.2%, respectively, in the stent group a.d 13.0%, 13.8%, 16.1% a.d 17.8%, respectively, in the control group (P=0.001). Multiva.ia.e a.a.ysis revea.ed tha. PV stenting wa. a. independent risk.fa.tor for Ba..
