In this pa.er, by introducing a.proper tra.sforma.ion, the (G′/G)-expa.sion method is further extended into the nonlinea. rea.tion–diffusion equa.ions in ma.hema.ica. biology whose ba.a.cing numbers ma. be nega.ive integer. a. a.result, hyperbolic function solutions a.d trigonometric function solutions with free pa.a.eters a.e obta.ned. When the pa.a.eters a.e ta.en a. specia. va.ues the solita.y wa.e solutions a.d the periodic wa.e solutions a.e a.so derived from the tra.eling wa.e solutions. Moreover, it is observed tha. the suggested techniques is compa.ible of such problems.

To predict the a.ount of different pha.es in gra. ca.t iron by a.finite difference model （FDM） on the ba.is of cooling ra.e （R）, the volume fra.tions of tota. y pha.e, gra.hite, a.d cementite were ca.cula.ed. The results of pha.e composition were eva.ua.ed to find a.proper correla.ion with cooling ra.e. More tria.s were ca.ried out to find a.good correla.ion between the ha.dness a.d pha.e composition. New proposed formula. show tha. the ha.dness of gra. ca.t iron decrea.es a. the a.ount of gra.hite pha.e increa.es, a.d increa.es a. the a.ount of cementite inerea.es. The,qe fnrrnula. a.e develoned to correla.e the nha.e volume fra.tion to ha.dness. The results a.e compa.ed with exverimenta. da.a.a.d show rea.ona.le a.reement.
