Th. sizes of th. cubic sa.ples a.e 0.5, 1, 1.5, 1.75, 2, 2.5 a.d 3 cm.edge with.a.respective initia. wa.er content of 2.7, 3.76, 3.48, 2.68, 3.28, 2.17 a.d 2.29 kg/kgm.. For cylindrica. sa.ples, th. ra.ius is set a. 0.5 cm.a.d sa.ple h.igh.s a.e 1, 1.5, 2, 2.5, 3, 3.5 a.d 4 cm.with.respective wa.er contents of 2.2, 3.19, 2.85, 2.1, 2.17, 2.39 a.d 2.03 kg/kgm.. Rosetta. m.croscopic study sh.ws th.0} th. ilm.nite occurs a. fresh.h.m.geneous bla.k or h.terogeneous m.lticoloured a.tered gra.ns a.d exh.bits th.ee types （h.m.geneous, exsolved a.d a.tered） of ilm.nite va.ieties. XRD da.a.of ilm.nite indica.es th.ir a.socia.ion with.m.nor h.m.0}ite a.d qua.tz, wh.rea. leucoxene sh.ws its a.socia.ion with.Nb-rutUe, pseudorutile a.d h.m.0}ite. Gra.n size distribution suggests a.very fine sa.d size of 〉89% a.d 80% a.d a.fine sa.d size of 10.5% a.d 18.3% for fresh.a.d a.tered ilm.nites, respectively.
