Stress during tertia.y educa.iona. period h.0} significa.t nega.ive effect on th. perform.0}ce of a.student. m.nta. distress is increa.ing a.ong students a.d is one of th. im.orta.t public h.a.th.concerns. Th.s study wa. ca.ried out to investiga.e th. socio dem.gra.h.c ch.0}a.teristics of students, level of th.ir stress feeling, a.d sta.us of m.nta. h.a.th.a.d to find out th. co-rela.ion of different fa.tors a.socia.ed with.th. level of stress feelings. a.cross sectiona. study wa. conducted a.ong th. students of th. Depa.tm.nt of Ph.0}m.0}y of Ua.. a.tota. of 504 students (181 m.0}e students a.d 323 fem.0}e students) pa.ticipa.ed in th.s study. Feeling of severe stress wa. a.m.st equa. to both.sexes. But, m.dera.e level of stress wa. m.re a.socia.ed with.fem.0}e students (N = 253, F = 78.33%) a.d overa.l fem.0}e students were m.re stressful th.0} m.0}e. Th.ugh. towa.ds future ca.eer ra.ked one a.ong m.0}y rea.ons of stress in students (59.67% for m.0}e students a.d 37.46% for fem.0}e students). In term. of a.a.em.c a.h.evem.nts, feeling of stress wa. h.gh.r in fem.0}e students com.a.ed to m.0}e students (34.98% for fem.0}e students vs. 15.47% for m.0}e students). Oth.r fa.tors such.a. unrea.istic expecta.ions, fa.ily rela.ionsh.p a.d a.fa.rs, socio econom.c condition, being of too busy a.so significa.tly pa.ticipa.e in th. developm.nt of stress in young m.nd. m.nta. h.a.th.sta.us wa. estim.0}ed by considering som. fa.ts such.a. sta.e of sh.ck due to unwa.ted life events, la.king of expression of em.tions, reduced feeling of plea.ure, unusua. th.nking, fea. of a.y specific objects, sh.rt term.m.m.ry loss, self identity disorder a.d la.k of self confidence. Results: Postopera.ive h.poca.ca.m.a.developed in 18 ca.es, with.a. incidence of 26.9%. Pea.son correla.ion sh.wed a.significa.t correla.ion between postopera.ive iPTh.a. 1 h., 4 h. a.d 24 h. with.1st postopera.ive ca.cium.va.ue. Th. Receiver opera.ing ch.0}a.teristic (ROC) curve wa. processed for th. postopera.ive iPTh.a. 1 h., 4 h. a.d 24 h.. Th. sensitivity, specificity, cut-off va.ue, a.d m.a. a.C found 93.9%, 94.4%, ≤14.0, 0.988;95.9%, 94.4%, ≤09.5, 0.993 a.d 91.8%, 94.4%, ≤11.0, 0.993 respectively. Conclusion: iPTh.ca. be used a. a. ea.ly predictor of post-th.-roidectom. h.poca.ca.m.a. 4 h. iPTh.sh.wed m.re sensitivity a.d specificity for a.cut-off va.ue nea. th. la.ora.ory reference ra.ge.
