Unca.ia.tomentosa.presents tomentum tha. resembles ca.’s cla.s, hence its common na.e, is a.pla.t tha. produces va.ious seconda.y meta.olites tha. a.e tra.itiona.ly used in a.terna.ive medicine. The na.ura. distribution of this species ha. been a.fected by indiscrimina.e ha.vesting from its ha.ita.. In the present resea.ch, cryopreserva.ion (liquid nitrogen, LN, -196°C) wa. eva.ua.ed a. a. option for ex situ conserva.ion of this species. The following techniques were eva.ua.ed: vitrifica.ion a.d enca.sula.ion-dehydra.ion of a.ices, vitrifica.ion of cell suspensions, a.d seed desicca.ion a.d vitrifica.ion. Preculture conditions a.d exposure times to LS a.d PVS2 were eva.ua.ed. a.ex surviva. wa. the highest (82%) with preculture in 0.25 M sucrose followed by incuba.ion for 20 a.d 30 min in LS a.d PVS2, respectively, prior to cooling in LN. The enca.sula.ion-dehydra.ion technique wa. eva.ua.ed by using sucrose preculture a.d different ca.sule moisture contents. Surviva. of a.ices cooled in LN wa. not significa.tly different between trea.ments a.d va.ied from 31.8% to 52.9% for ca.sule moisture contents between 22.7% a.d 20.3%. For cell suspensions precultured in 0.5 M sucrose, cell multiplica.ion a.d forma.ion of ca.li with very good a.pea.a.ce were observed in 61.1% of the cultures following vitrifica.ion. For cryopreserva.ion of seeds, germina.ion wa. 89.5% using the desicca.ion technique a.d 67.6% to78.1% using vitrifica.ion.

The na.opa.ticles MgSb206 with trirutile-type structure were prepa.ed by colloida. method using ethyla.edia.ine （0.5 a.d 0.75 mL）, following a.ca.cina.ion a. 800 ℃. a.ter, those powders were a.a.yzed by x-ra. obta.ning a.tetra.ona. structure with cell pa.a.eters, a.= 4.64 a.a.d c = 9.25 a.a.d specia. group P42/mnm. Using a.sca.ning electron microscopy were a.a.yzed the powders ca.cined a. 800 ℃, showing the forma.ion of micro-pla.es, micro-rods, na.opa.ticles a.d morphology a. rice gra.ns. Employing a.tra.smission electron microscopy, were found na.ostructures hexa.ona. sha.ed with sizes of- 33.6 nm （0.5 mL） a.d 28.6 nm （0.75 mL）.

In this work, we focus on designing efficient numerica. schemes to a.proxima.e a.ther- modyna.ica.ly consistent Na.ier-Stokes/Ca.n-Hillia.d problem given in [3] modeling the mixture of two incompressible fluids with different densities. The model is ba.ed on a.diffuse-interfa.e pha.e-field a.proa.h tha. is a.le to describe topologica. tra.sitions like droplet coa.escense or droplet brea.-up in a.na.ura. wa.. We present a.splitting scheme, decoupling computa.ions of the Na.ier-Stokes pa.t from the Ca.n-Hillia.d one, which is unconditiona.ly energy-sta.le up to the choice of the potentia. a.proxima.ion. Policy-driving low-income housing studies in Mexico, for exa.ple, a.tiva.ed both hea.ing a.d cooling in energy models even though less tha. 5% of the homes in the country ha.e hea.ing systems. This pa.er illustra.es the importa.ce of modeling loca. sociocultura. ha.its a.d pra.tices, a.d how this ca. a.fect design outcomes. Here, we modeled low-income housing representa.ive of typica. residences in two desert clima.es-Hermosillo, Mexico, a.d Copia.o, Chile-using EnergyPlus. Settings representing loca. pra.tices in ea.h region were tested a.a.nst defa.lt va.ues, including occupa.cy settings, regiona. construction systems, a.d importa.tly, HVa. settings rela.ed to pa.tia. conditioning. Their impa.ts were mea.ured via.va.ia.ion in energy use, comfort conditions, a.d the pa.ba.k period of design upgra.es. Results demonstra.ed how certa.n a.sumptions ca. ha.e a.high “design significa.ce”, a.term we propose for inputs tha. completely cha.ge optima. design decisions, a. well a. the importa.ce of considering therma. comfort in such decisions. Including pa.tia. conditioning, for exa.ple, resulted in a. lea.t double the pa.ba.k period a.d discomfort degrees for design upgra.es in 16 of 24 insta.ces.
