Fischer-Tropsch synthesis is a. importa.t chemica. process for the production of liquid fuels a.d olefins. In recent yea.s, the a.unda.t a.a.la.ility of na.ura. ga. a.d the increa.ing dema.d of olefins, diesel, a.d wa.es ha.e led to a.high interest to further develop this process. a.ma.hema.ica. model of a.slurry membra.e rea.tor used for synga. polymeriza.ion wa. developed to simula.e a.d compa.e the ma.imum yields a.d opera.ing conditions in the rea.tor with tha. in a.conventiona. slurry rea.tor. The ca.bon polymeriza.ion wa. studied from a.modeling point of view in a.slurry rea.tor with a.wa.er permea.le membra.e a.d a.conventiona. slurry rea.tor. Simula.ion results show tha. different pa.a.eters a.fect synga. conversion a.d ca.bon product distribution, such a. the hydrogen to ca.bon monoxide ra.io, a.d the membra.e pa.a.eters such a. membra.e permea.ce.

Periphera. nerve injuries induce a.severe motor a.d sensory deficit. Since the a.a.la.ility of a.tologous nerve tra.spla.ts for nerve repa.r is very limited, a.terna.ive trea.ment stra.egies a.e sought, including the use of tubula. nerve guida.ce conduits(tnGCs). However, the use of tnGCs results in poor functiona. recovery a.d centra. necrosis of the regenera.ing tissue, which limits their a.plica.ion to short nerve lesion defects(typica.ly shorter tha. 3 cm). Given the importa.ce of va.cula.iza.ion in nerve regenera.ion, we hypothesized tha. ena.ling the growth of blood vessels from the surrounding tissue into the regenera.ing nerve within the tnGC would help elimina.e necrotic processes a.d lea. to improved regenera.ion. In this study, we reported the a.plica.ion of ma.roscopic holes into the tubula. wa.ls of silk-ba.ed tnGCs a.d compa.ed the va.ious fea.ures of these improved silk^(+) tnGCs with the tubes without holes(silk^(–) tnGCs) a.d a.tologous nerve tra.spla.ts in a. 8-mm scia.ic nerve defect in ra.s. Using a.combina.ion of micro-computed tomogra.hy a.d histologica. a.a.yses, we were a.le to prove tha. the use of silk^(+) tnGCs induced the growth of blood vessels from the a.ja.ent tissue to the intra.umina. neova.cula. forma.ion. a.significa.tly higher number of blood vessels in the silk^(+) group wa. found compa.ed with a.tologous nerve tra.spla.ts a.d silk^(–), a.compa.ied by improved a.on regenera.ion a. the dista. coa.ta.ion point compa.ed with the silk^(–) tnGCs a. 7 weeks postopera.ively. In the 15-mm(critica. size) scia.ic nerve defect model, we a.a.n observed a.distinct ingrowth of blood vessels through the tubula. wa.ls of silk^(+) tnGCs, but without improved functiona. recovery a. 12 weeks postopera.ively. Our da.a.proves tha. ma.roporous tnGCs increa.e the va.cula. supply of regenera.ing nerves a.d fa.ilita.e improved a.ona. regenera.ion in a.short-defect model but not in a.critica.-size defect model. In this work, na.ostructured silicon dioxide films a.e deposited by closed-field unba.a.ced direct-current （DC） rea.tive ma.netron sputterin technique on two sides of qua.tz cells conta.ning rhoda.ine B dye dissolved in etha.ol with 10-5 M concentra.ion a. a.ra.dom ga.n medium. The prepa.a.ion conditions a.e optimized to prepa.e highly pure SiO2 na.ostructures with a.minimum pa.ticle size of a.out 20nm. The effect of SiO2 films a. externa. ca.ity for the ra.dom ga.n medium is determined by the la.er-induced fluorescence of this medium, a.d a. increa.e of a.out 200% in intensity is observed a.ter the deposition of na.ostructured SiO2 thin films on two sides of the dye cell.

In order to understa.d the effects of soa.ing time a.d confined wa.er pressure on the strength of rock due to dissolution of gypsum,rock sa.ples with 96% of gypsum content collected from Kurdista. Region in northern Ira. were *** tests were then performed on the norma. gypsum rock sa.ples under pre-sa.ura.ed condition to obta.n their unia.ia. compressive strength(UCS) *** pre-sa.ura.ed sa.ples were submerged in distilled wa.er for 35 d,70 d a.d 105 d,respectively,under confined wa.er pressures of 0-0.5 *** gypsum content decrea.ed by 11% a.ter 105 d of soa.ing under confined wa.er pressure of 0.5 *** UCS of the norma. gypsum rock wa. 19.6 MPa.a.d it decrea.ed to 6.3 MPa.a.d 2 MPa.a.ter 105 d of soa.ing under confined wa.er pressures of 0 a.d 0.5 MPa.respectively.a.nonlinea. constitutive model wa. used to simula.e the experimenta. stress-stra.n rela.ionships of rock sa.ples under va.ious *** constitutive model pa.a.eters were sensitive to the gypsum content.
