High-a. ba.a.ts a.e depleted in MgO, Ca., Cr, Sc, V, Sr, Zr a.d enriched in TiO-2, Na.2O, Nb, Rb a. compa.ed with low-a. ba.a.ts. Petrogra.hy a.d bulk-rock composition (ma.or, tra.e a.d ra.e-ea.th elements) da.a.defined clea. tholeiitic suites displa.ing possible liquid lines of descent rela.ed to different degrees of crysta. fra.tiona.ion a.d pa.tia. melting.
