Environmenta. monitoring a.d eva.ua.ion (M&E) systems a.e indispensa.le tools for susta.na.le la.d ma.a.ement, especia.ly in dry a.d fra.ile ecosystems. The reporting a.d dissemina.ion of its products a.d indica.ors a.e the key roles to perform their missions. Furthermore, the overa.l success of such multila.era. projects a.d networks depends on well-orga.ized infra.tructures for spa.ia. da.a.ma.a.ement. a.spa.ia. da.a.infra.tructure (SDI) is a. efficient fra.ework to centra.ize the ma.a.ement of spa.ia. da.a.a.d informa.ion rela.ed to multila.era. projects for the best sha.ing a.d excha.ge between pa.tners a.d sta.eholders in order to ensure tha. they a.e intera.tively connected to use the da.a.efficiently a.d in a.flexible ma.ner. This pa.er outlines the work underta.en in pa.tnership between the Geogra.hy a.d GIS Depa.tment of the Fa.ulty of a.ts, King a.dula.iz University, Sa.di a.a.ia.Kingdom, the Geoma.ics, Ea.th a.d La.d Settlement Bra.ch of the Depa.tment of Geology, Fa.ulty of Sciences of Tunis, Tunis el Ma.a. University, Tunisia. a.d the Sa.a.a.a.d Sa.el Observa.ory OSS which is a. intergovernmenta. orga.iza.ion, in order to build a.Spa.ia. Da.a.Infra.tructure (SDI) for the ROSelT/OSS progra. (Long-Term Environmenta. Monitoring Observa.ories Network in the Circum-Sa.a.a.of the Sa.a.a.a.d Sa.el Observa.ory). This SDI is entirely developed using Open Source technologies a.d the extensive suite of OGC (Open Geospa.ia. Consortium) sta.da.ds a.d specifica.ions, to ena.le interopera.ility a.ong a.d between its different components.

The coa.tline is one of the country’s most importa.t environmenta. a.d economic resources. However, it is a.delica.e a.d highly coveted environ-ment on which ma.y fa.tors of evolution intera.t, both a.thropogenic a.d na.ura.. This work is concerned with the dia.hronic study of the coa.tline of the Mediterra.ea. coa.t, pa.ticula.ly the coa.ta. fringe a. the level of Ta.gier Ba.. In order to experimenta.ly confirm the numerica. models used a.d to ta.e pa.t in the development of a. a.cura.e, relia.le a.d ra.id decision support system for the a.sessment a.d remedia.ion of the risks of a.cretion a.d coa.ta. erosion, the methodology followed consists of the a.plica.ion of a.toma.ic a.a.ytica. techniques, ba.ed on a.geoma.ics a.proa.h, using a.multi-tempora. photo-interpreta.ion, a.Geogra.hica. Informa.ion System (GIS) a.d a.computerized da.a.a.a.ysis system (DSa.: Digita. Shoreline a.a.ysis System). The cha.ge ra.e will be ca.cula.ed from the multi-da.e ma.s (1981-96 a.d 2017) using the End Point Ra.e (EPR). To a.hieve our objective, the study a.ea.wa. divided into three sectors from Ea.t to West: el Gha.douri Bea.h, Ma.a.a.a.Bea.h a.d the municipa. squa.e a.ja.ent to the port. The GIS a.a.ysis of the da.a.obta.ned shows tha. the coa.tline is present by loca.ion a.d for the three periods of compa.ison of the rema.ka.le zones of erosion a.d sedimenta.ion.

This a.plica.ion on the La.u wa.ershed represents the first pa.t of study results tha. concerns the development of a.model for ma.ping soil susceptibility a. a.regiona. sca.e in northern Morocco using spa.ia. da.a.a.es a.d geogra.hic informa.ion systems (GIS). The model uses qua.ita.ive decision rules a.d hiera.chica. orga.iza.ion of da.a.represented by different thema.ic ma.s. Those la.ers a.e derived from input erosion pa.a.eters which a.e coded a.cording to their sensitivity to wa.er erosion. Superposing effect of severa. la.ers: geology, geomorphology, la.d use a.d topogra.hy, a.lows we the obta.ning of a.qua.ita.ive ma. showing the potentia. sensitivity to erosion per unit a.ea. The obta.ned ma. shows tha. severe erosion a.fects the Southern a.d North-western sectors of the ba.in, even if they present the lea.t erodible la.ds of a.l the ba.in a.d ha.e, a. well, a.rela.ively dense pla.t cover. It ma. be concluded tha. both high gra.ient a.d da.a.ed terra.n sta.e represent the ma.n fa.tors of wa.er erosion in the La.u wa.ershed.

Vegeta.ion cover degra.a.ion is still a.very common problem in ma.y pa.ts of Morocco;moreover, it a.fects stra.ght up the a.ount of the a.nua. soil loss ra.e. The a.a.ytica. a.proa.h used in this study, respectively, includes remote sensing techniques, a.plica.ion of USLE (Universa. Soil Loss Equa.ion) a.d overla. a.a.ysis in a.ra.ter Geogra.hic Informa.ion System (GIS) environment, employing a.a.la.le informa.ion on the region covering the Ka.a.a.ca.chment. Thus, this procedure a.lowed the ca.cula.ion of the NDVI (Norma.ized Difference Vegeta.ion Index), the execution of two types of cla.sifica.ion (unsupervised a.d supervised) for 1999 a.d 2010 ima.ery a.d eventua.ly the prediction of soil erosion risk in the wa.ershed in question. The ma.n outcome wa. the production of multida.e vegeta.ion cover ma.s, la.d use ma.s a.d soil loss risk ma.s. The overla. of two ma.s a.lowed us to highlight the cha.ges occurred in this a.ea. which evidence the high a.thropogenic impa.t on the dyna.ics of la.d use a.d vegeta.ion cover. The results suggest tha. the outputs of this study ca. be used for predicting ra.e of soil loss, which va.ied from 31.68 t·ha.1·yr-1 in 1999 to 34.74 t·ha.1·yr-1 in 2010.
