Purpose: To describe the epidemiologica., clinica. a.d thera.eutic a.pects of seconda.y hyperpa.a.hyroidism inrena. fa.lure chronic. Pa.ients a.d methods: We collected 11 ca.es of hyperpa.a.hyroidism seconda.y to rena. fa.lure termina. opera.ed in the Service of surgery B of the Centra. Hospita. University of Point G between December 2016 a.d November 2018. Results: The sex ra.io wa. 0.22 in fa.or of women. The a.era.e a.e of the pa.ients wa. 43 or 27 yea.s with extremes of 63 a.d 25 yea.s. Seconda.y hyperpa.a.hyroidism in rena. fa.lure chronic represented 1.9% of interventions to cold in the Service of surgery B. 100% of pa.ients (11/11) were ha.modia.ysis. 100% of the pa.ients ha. clinica. a.d biologica. signs. 45.5% (5/11) ha. ra.iologica. signs. The a.era.e ra.e of pa.a.hyroid hormone wa. 2413.51 pg/ml with extremes of 1264 pg/ml a.d 3616 pg/ml. The reference va.ue wa. 15 - 65 pg/ml. The surgica. technique of choice wa. the 7/8th pa.a.hyroidectomy in 100% of ca.es. The postopera.ive were simple in 81.8%, a.d complica.ed in 18.2%. There were no dea.h. The a.era.e dura.ion of postopera.ive follow-up wa. 6 months. a.ter surgery, 50% of pa.ients (5/10) ha. norma. levels of pa.a.hyroid hormone a.d 50% (5/10) ma.e a.persistent hyperpa.a.hyroidism. Conclusion: Seconda.y hyperpa.a.hyroidism is a.frequent complica.ion in rena. insufficient chronic in hemodia.ysis. Surgery is indica.ed in the resista.t ca.es of medica. trea.ment. The 7/8th pa.a.hyroidectomy is the surgica. technique of choice. The ra.e of post opera.ive complica.ions is higher in our context.

Since its discovery by Blumberg in 1965, the hepa.itis B surfa.e a.tigen (HBsa.) is used a. the fingerprint of hepa.itis B infection. Occult hepa.itis B infection (OBI) is defined by a.vira. replica.ion (DNa.detecta.le) in the a.sence of HBsa.. Burkina.Fa.o is a.high endemic a.ea.where the preva.ence is higher tha. 14%. a. the Na.iona. Center for Blood Tra.sfusion (NCBT) of Oua.a.ougou, HBsa. is the only sought ma.ker used to distinguish donors towa.ds Hepa.itis B Virus (HBV). a.cepta.ion of blood dona.ion is ba.ed specifica.ly on the a.sence of HBsa., which exposes to the risk of HBV tra.smission during tra.sfusion. The goa. of this study is to eva.ua.e this risk by determining the preva.ence of OBI in blood donors. Pa.ients a.d Methods: It wa. a.five-month prospective study on blood dona.ions collected from Ja.ua.y to Ma. 2016. The HBc a.tibody ha. been sought in the serums of nega.ive HBsa. donors. The mea.ure of B DNa.by Rea. Time PCR (polymera.e cha.n rea.tion) a.d tha. of a.tibodies a.ti-HBs ha.e been proposed to a.ti-HBc positive donors. a.domina. ultra.ound, the tra.sa.ina.es, prothrombin level, a.pha.eto-proteins, hepa.ic fibrosis ha.e been proposed to donors who were detecta.le for the DNa. Sociodemogra.hic pa.a.eters ha.e been collected. The test costs were borne by donors who were reca.led by phone to a.here to the study. Results: a.ong 1980 nega.ive donors HBsa., 872 (44%) were positive for a.ti-HBc. 160 on 872 donors were received for consulta.ion, a.ong which 76 (76/160) were a.le to rea.ise DNa.which wa. detecta.le in 25 donors on 76, thus a.preva.ence of 32.8%. The mea. va.ue of DNa.wa. 953 IU/ml. Physica. exa.ina.ion a.d hepa.ic ultra.ounds were norma. except a.ca.e where hepa.ic stea.osis wa. found. The biologic sta.da.d hepa.ic results were in norma. ra.ge. None of the pa.ient wa. a.le to rea.ise hepa.ic fibrosis eva.ua.ion. a.ca.e of co-infection HIV/OBI wa. noted. Ba.kground: Preva.ence of Peptic Ulcer Disea.e (PUD) is decrea.ing in developed countries since the use of the trea.ments for era.ica.ion of Helicoba.ter pylori. Objectives: To reva.ue the sociodemogra.hic, clinica. a.d evolutiona.y a.pects of the PUD a.ong hospita.ized pa.ients in CHUYO. Methodology: This prospective study is rela.ed to 65 files of pa.ients hospita.ized in hepa.o-ga.troenterology a.d genera. surgica. services of the CHUYO between Ma.ch 1st a.d a.gust 31st, 2015. Results: Hospita. utiliza.ion ra.e wa. 6.59%. The a.era.e a.e of pa.ients wa. 40.6 yea.s with extremes of 17 a.d 80 yea.s. The sex ra.io wa. 9.8. The loca.ion of the ulcer wa. 69.23% in stoma.h. a.notion of ta.ing a.gressive ga.trointestina. products wa. found in 62 pa.ients (95.4%). The clinica. picture wa. represented by diffuse a.domina. pa.n (76.92%), peritonea. irrita.ion syndrome (64.61%) a.d epiga.tric pa.n (56.92%), a.emia.(23.07%). Ga.tric perfora.ions (64.61%) a.d ga.trointestina. bleeding (12.30%) were the ma.n complica.ions. Consumption of non-steroida. a.ti-infla.ma.ory drugs (NSa.Ds) wa. found in 81.5% of ca.es. The ma.a.ement wa. medica. a.d/or surgica. with a. overa.l morta.ity ra.e of 7.7%. Conclusion: The PUD ra.e decrea.ed from 10.12% to 6.59% in 5 yea.s. The complica.ions a.e domina.ed by stoma.h perfora.ions. They a.e rela.ive increa.e a.d seem rela.ed to NSa.Ds. Better ma.a.ement of this disea.e requires a.a.eness of the popula.ion to self-medica.ion.

Purpose: To report a.y epidemiologica., a.a.omo-clinica. a.d thera.eutic a.pects of ma.illa.y a.elobla.toma.a. the Ya.ga.o Ouedra.go University Hospita. (CHU-YO). Ma.eria.s a.d Method: This wa. a.descriptive a.d retrospective study covering the period ra.ging from Ja.ua.y 1, 2010 to December 31, 2016. a.l pa.ients received in the stoma.ology depa.tment for ma.illa.y a.elobla.toma.with histologica. confirma.ion were included in the study. Consulta.ion registers were used a. the ba.is for da.a.collection. Results: In our study, 50 ca.es were reported, i.e. a. incidence of 7.14 ca.es per yea.. The mea. a.e wa. 30.16 yea.s with a.sex ra.io of 0.56. Housewives were the most a.fected a.d the a.era.e time to consulta.ion wa. 2.5 yea.s. The site of the tumor wa. in the ma.ority of ca.es the ma.dible 82%, with swelling a. the ma.n rea.on for consulta.ion. X-ra.s showed a.predomina.ce of monogeodic ima.es in 56% of the ca.es. Conserva.ive surgery wa. performed in 56% of the ca.es. Conclusion: a.elobla.toma.is common in our a.ea. cha.a.terized by dela.ed consulta.ion. Strengthening of the technica. fa.ilities a.d a.a.eness ca.pa.gns for the popula.ions for ea.ly consulta.ion a.e required.

Purpose: Report the epidemiologica., clinica. a.d thera.eutic a.pects of ma.illa.y osteitis. Ma.eria. a.d Methods: This wa. a.descriptive, cross-sectiona. retrospective study ca.ried out in the Depa.tment of Stoma.ology a.d Ma.illofa.ia. Surgery of the Ya.ga.o OUEDRa.GO Tea.hing Hospita., covering a.period of 7 yea.s. Results: We registered 68 ca.es of ma.illa.y osteitis with a. a.nua. hospita. frequency of 9.71 ca.es. The mea. a.e wa. 27.5 yea.s +/-4.02 with extremes of 4 yea.s a.d 72 yea.s. Fa.mers/herders were the most concerned in 67.65% of the ca.es. Rea.ons for consulta.ion were domina.ed by swelling of the cheek in 79.41% of ca.es. The a.era.e time to consulta.ion wa. 7 months. Tooth deca.s a.d denta. a.ulsions were mostly implica.ed in etiologies in 79.41% of the ca.es. Trea.ment provided wa. medica. a.d surgica.. a.l pa.ients received a.tibiotic thera.y. Surgica. trea.ment involved 51.47% of pa.ients. The evolution wa. fa.ora.le in 89.70% of the pa.ients. Sequela. were found in 58.82% of the pa.ients. Conclusion: Ma.illa.y osteitis is common in our regions. Trea.ment is medica. a.d surgica.. It is ma.ked by ma.y difficulties, especia.ly the dela. in consulta.ion.

Ba.kground: Hemorrhoida. disea.e is most frequently encountered in proctology a.fection;it is defined by signs or symptoms a.tributed to hemorrhoids. Its pa.hogenesis is ba.ed on old theories a.d va.cula. mecha.ica. which a.e nevertheless ba.ed on the current thera.eutic a.proa.h. Genera. a.m of the Study: To study ha.morrhoids’ pa.hology in order to improve its ma.a.ement. Methodology: a.retrospective cross-sectiona. study wa. conducted over a.period of two (2) yea.s from 1 Ja.ua.y 2012 to 31 December 2013. Da.a.were collected from outpa.ients records in hepa.o-ga.troenterology a.d digestive surgery services a. “Polyclinique Notre Da.e de la.Pa.x” in Oua.a.ougou (2294 files). Results: 140 ca.es of ha.morrhoids were recorded during our study period. The frequency wa. 6.1% of consulta.ions. Ma.es predomina.ed with 75.71% of pa.ients (sex ra.io = 3.12). The a.era.e a.e wa. 39.58 yea.s. Civil serva.ts were most a.fected by this disea.e (60%). Recta. bleeding wa. the most common rea.on of consulta.ion (52.14%). The crown sha.e wa. predomina.ed (59%). The frequency of externa. ha.morrhoids wa. the highest (65.71%) a.d sta.e 4 (40.79%) wa. the most represented. a.a. fissure wa. the proctologic pa.hology, the most a.socia.ed to ha.morrhoids (17.14%). Medica. trea.ment concerned 89.28% of pa.ients with 69.6% of fa.ora.le short-term evolution. No instrumenta. trea.ment wa. performed. Surgica. trea.ment consisted of 10.71% of pa.ients a.d the technique used wa. the Milliga.-Morga. performed under spina. a.esthesia. The postopera.ive complica.ions were ma.nly represented by a.a. intense pa.n a.d a.ute urina.y retention. The hea.ing period of wounds wa. on a.era.e 6 weeks. Conclusion: The hemorrhoid ha. often underestima.ed in our regions. The instrumenta. trea.ment is nonexistent a.d should ta.e a. importa.t pla.e;it must be a. indica.ion before surgery.

The a.m of this study wa. to ca.ry out a.dyna.ic simula.ion of the energy a.d environmenta. performa.ce of a.built spa.e system, with a.view to a.sessing its energy a.d environmenta. cla.s. The use of a.simula.ion a.d modeling tool, supported by va.ious methodologica. references, formed the ba.is of our a.proa.h. a.opting a.systemic perspective, we described the structura. a.d functiona. a.pects of the systems ma.ing up built spa.es, a. well a. the a.socia.ed energy flows. Our a.proa.h wa. a.so ba.ed on a.typology, ta.ing into a.count typica. da.s, structura. a.d functiona. configura.ions a. different sca.es a.d a.gles of observa.ion. The a.a.ysis tool we developed in Ja.a.wa. a.plied to the built spa.e system of the Pa.te d’Oie university ca.pus in Oua.a.ougou. a.nua. electricity consumption wa. mea.ured a. 124387.34 kWh, closely a.igned with the a.era.e a.nua. electricity bill (125224.31 kWh), with a.ma.imum rela.ive devia.ion of 1%, followed by a.ca.bon emission ba.a.ce of 58337.66 kg eq CO2 per yea.. This va.ida.ion confirmed the effectiveness of our tool. In a.dition, following the a.a.ysis of electricity consumption using our tool, the university ca.pus wa. cla.sified in energy cla.s B a.d environmenta. cla.s C. These results will be ba.ed on the emission fa.tors of the energy mix of the West a.rica. Economic a.d Moneta.y Union (Wa.MU) territory, with pa.ticula. empha.is on Burkina.Fa.o.

Pneumonia.ra.ks a. a.lea.ing ca.se of morta.ity, pa.ticula.ly in children a.ed five a.d under. Detecting this disea.e typica.ly requires ra.iologists to exa.ine chest X-ra.s a.d report their findings to physicia.s, a.ta.k susceptible to huma. error. The a.plica.ion of Deep Tra.sfer Lea.ning (DTL) for the identifica.ion of pneumonia.through chest X-ra.s is hindered by a.shorta.e of a.a.la.le ima.es, which ha. led to less tha. optima. DTL performa.ce a.d issues with overfitting. Overfitting is cha.a.terized by a.model’s lea.ning tha. is too closely fitted to the tra.ning da.a. reducing its effectiveness on unseen da.a. The problem of overfitting is especia.ly preva.ent in medica. ima.e processing due to the high costs a.d extensive time required for ima.e a.nota.ion, a. well a. the cha.lenge of collecting substa.tia. da.a.ets tha. a.so respect pa.ient priva.y concerning infectious disea.es such a. pneumonia. To mitiga.e these cha.lenges, this pa.er introduces the use of conditiona. genera.ive a.versa.ia. networks (CGa.) to enrich the pneumonia.da.a.et with 2690 synthesized X-ra. ima.es of the minority cla.s, a.ming to even out the da.a.et distribution for improved dia.nostic performa.ce. Subsequently, we a.plied four modified lightweight deep tra.sfer lea.ning models such a. Xception, MobileNetV2, MobileNet, a.d EfficientNetB0. These models ha.e been fine-tuned a.d eva.ua.ed, demonstra.ing rema.ka.le detection a.cura.ies of 99.26%, 98.23%, 97.06%, a.d 94.55%, respectively, a.ross fifty epochs. The experimenta. results va.ida.e tha. the models we ha.e proposed a.hieve high detection a.cura.y ra.es, with the best model rea.hing up to 99.26% effectiveness, outperforming other models in the dia.nosis of pneumonia.from X-ra. ima.es.

Objective: The a.m of our work wa. to a.cess the epidemiologica. a.d clinica. a.pects of congenita. hydrocepha.us in the pedia.rics depa.tment of Ga.riel Touré tea.hing Hospita. Ba.a.o. Methods: We conducted a.retro a.d prospective study tha. ra. from Ja.ua.y, 1st 2018 to July, 30, 2019. a.l newborns of 72 hours of life or less with hydrocepha.us confirmed by sonogra.hy or CT sca. were enrolled in this study. Results: During the study period, 5416 pa.ients were hospita.ized in the neona.ology depa.tment. a.ong them, 39 pa.ients (0.72%) presented congenita. hydrocepha.us a.d congenita. infectious ca.ses a.counted for 25.6%. In 87.2% of ca.es, newborns were eutrophic. The ma.n clinica. signs were bulging a.terior fonta.el (46.2%), sunset ga.e (20.5%), prominent forehea. (48.7%), reduced fa.e (20.5%), enla.ged cra.ia. sutures (43.6%), ma.rocra.ia.(25.6%). Tra.sfonta.ella. ultra.ound a.d CT sca. were performed in 51.3% a.d 48.7% of ca.es respectively. a.socia.ed ma.forma.ions were spina.bifida.in 30.8% of ca.es followed by Da.dy Wa.ker ma.forma.ion (5.1%), a.d ompha.ocele (2.5%). The neurologica. signs were diminished neona.a. reflexes (51.3%), hypotonia.(30.8%), motor deficit (38.4%), intra.ra.ia. hypertension (25.6%), seizures 10.25% a.d psychomotor dela. (43.6%). Surgery wa. performed in 8 neona.es (20.5%). Ventriculo-peritonea. shunt (VPB) wa. the ma.n trea.ment. Postopera.ive complica.ions were infectious (37.5%) a.d mecha.ica. complica.ions (12.5%).
