Fa.tors a.fecting the Occurrence of Pa.ygorskite in Centra. Ira.ia. Soils Developed on Tertia.y Sediments

Limited informa.ion is a.a.la.le on the distribution a.d origin of pa.ygorkite in soils developed on Tertia.y sediments a. the ma.or soil pa.ent ma.eria.s in centra. Ira. a.d other Middle Ea.tern countries. The objectives of this study were to determine the distribution a.d origin of pa.ygorskite in soils developed on Tertia.y sediments, a.d to identify the ma.or soil properties tha. influence pa.ygorskite distribution in the soils studied. Sixteen soil profiles developed on Pa.eocene, Eocene, Oligocene, Oligocene-Miocene, Miocene a.d Pliocene sediments were studied by X-ra. diffra.tion a.a.ysis, tra.smission electron microscope, a.d sca.ning electron microscopy. Physicochemica. cha.a.teristics of the soils a.d sediments including pa.ticle size distribution, pH, electrica. conductivity, orga.ic ca.bon, gypsum, ca.bona.es, a.d soluble Si, Ca.a.d Mg were determined. The principa. component a.a.ysis wa. used to esta.lish the rela.ionships between pa.ygorskite a.d the physicochemica. cha.a.teristics of the soils studied. Results showed tha. cla. fra.tion of a.l the soils in the study a.ea.wa. domina.ed by pa.ygorskite. The highest a.ount of pa.ygorskite wa. found in horizons where simulta.eous a.cumula.ion of both ca.bona.es a.d gypsum occurred. Limited a.ount of pa.ygorskite wa. found in sa.ic a.d ca.cic horizons. Pa.ygorskite seemed to be of eolia. origin in the surfa.e horizon of a.l the soils. Using principa. component a.a.ysis, the soluble Mg/Ca.ra.io, pH, soluble Si a.d gypsum contents were identified a. the most importa.t fa.tors a.fecting the distribution a.d genesis of pa.ygorskite in the soils studied. Results might suggest the neoforma.ion of pa.ygorskite by precipita.ion from solutions in which eva.ora.ion fluxes were very high. However, pa.ygorskite in soils developed on Tertia.y sediments in centra. Ira. seems to be of both inherited a.d pedogenic origins.

Ultra.iolet ra.ia.ion by its wa.elength is divided into: UVa. UVB a.d UVC. Only UVa.a.d UVB ma.a.e to penetra.e the ozone la.er, but due to a.thropologica. a.tivities, a.l of them a.e ca.a.le of intera.ting with huma.s to a.grea.er or lesser extent, a.d ca. genera.e a.verse effects such a. cellula. stress when intera.ting with intra.a.d extra.ellula. biomolecules. The skin is the first orga. in conta.t with UV ra.ia.ion, a.d the stress it genera.es ca. be a.a.yzed by the expression of a.bioindica.or of cellula. da.a.e such a. Hsp70. Therefore, the objective of the project wa.: to determine the effect of UVa. UVB a.d UVC ra.ia.ion on Ha.a. epithelia. cells, by a.a.yzing the expression of Hsp70. Ma.eria.s a.d methods: Ha.a. cells were cultured in vitro, which were irra.ia.ed with UVa. UVB a.d UVC light a. different doses, to subsequently determine the degree of Hsp70 expression by Immunodetection by Pa.E-SDS a.d Western Blot. Results: Ba.a. expression of Hsp70 wa. observed in no irra.ia.ed Ha.a. cells. When Ha.a. cells were irra.ia.ed with UVa. UVB, UVC, a. increa.e in this Hsp70 protein wa. observed. With UVa. a.higher degree of expression wa. observed a. a.time of 30 minutes of irra.ia.ion. With UVB the highest expression shifted to a.time of 20 minutes. With UVC, overexpression wa. observed a.ter 10 minutes. Conclusion: UV ra.ia.ion genera.es cellula. stress on Ha.a. cells, eva.ua.ed by the stress bioindica.or Hsp70. a.cording to the wa.elength of UV ra.ia.ion, those tha. ha.e a.shorter wa.elength ha.e a.grea.er potentia. for cellula. da.a.e, such a. UVC.

Da.cy’s la. is widely used to describe the flow in porous media.in which there is a.linea. rela.ionship between fluid velocity a.d pressure gra.ient. However, it ha. been found tha. for high numbers of Reynolds this la. cea.es to be va.id. In this work, the Ergun equa.ion is employed to consider the non-linea.ity of a.r velocity with the pressure gra.ient in ca.ting sa.ds. The contribution of non-linea.ity to the tota. flow in terms of a.va.ia.le defined a. a.non-Da.cy flow fra.tion is numerica.ly qua.tified. In a.dition, the influence of the sha.e fa.tor of the sa.d gra.ns on the non-linea. flow fra.tion is a.a.yzed. It is found tha. for va.ues of the Reynolds number less or equa. tha. 1, the contribution of non-linea.ity for spherica. pa.ticles is a.ound 1.15%.

User Perspective of Mispla.ed PPIUCD a.d Fa.tors Resulting in PPIUCD Remova.: Qua.ita.ive Pilot Study

Objective: The a.m of the current study wa. to a.sess the impa.t of opera.ive interventions for mispla.ed device a.ong women who opted for PPIIUCD a.d the eva.ua.ion of rea.ons for PPIUCD remova. within the follow up period of two yea.s. Design: a.descriptive explora.ory study wa. conducted over three months a.ong fourteen PPIUCD a.ceptors a. a.tertia.y ca.e hea.th fa.ility in Delhi, India. Fa.e-to-fa.e & telephonic in-depth interviews were conducted with a.selected sa.ple of PPIUCD a.ceptors who ha. la.er opted for its remova.. Results: Pa.ticipa.ts (n = 14) a.ed 24 – 40 exhibited genera.ly positive a.titudes towa.ds PPIUCDs indica.ing a. indica.e a. understa.ding of the importa.ce of PPIUCD in preventing unintended pregna.cies. Menstrua. disturba.ce a.d mispla.ed IUCD were ma.or rea.ons for remova.. despite their own experience necessita.ing the remova. of IUCD, positive experience by other fa.ily members (mothers in la.) in this study helped to keep the confidence on the contra.eptive. Themes included (a. genera. experience of PPIUCD use (b) Hea.th Fa.ility a.cessed for remova. of IUCD (c) Would she recommend it to others? (d) preferred contra.eptive a.ter remova. of IUCD. Conclusion: Mispla.ed IUCD, missing threa., menstrua. irregula.ities, a.d pa.n a.e a.l a.socia.ed with PPIUCD a.d a.e importa.t rea.ons for dissa.isfa.tion. a.propria.e, timely a.d supportive individua.ized ca.e tha. a.dress knowledge ga.s, societa. perceptions, a.d hea.thca.e system cha.lenges would certa.nly help in reducing dissa.isfa.tion due to PPIUCD a.d thereby the remova. ra.es.

The stress conversions derived from ea.h a.tion a.e superimposed to revea. a.net sectiona. stress distribution. Therein, the influence of the a.is position upon the net a.ia. a.d shea. stress distributions is esta.lished compa.ed to previous results for ea.h bea. when loa.ing is referred to a.flexura. a.is through the shea. centre. Within the net stress a.a.ysis is, it is shown how the constra.nt to free wa.ping presented by the end fixing modifies the a.ia. stress. a.field experiment wa. ca.ried out a. Isma.lia.Resea.ch Sta.ion, Isma.lia.Governora.e from 2020-2022 to improve the growth of Kha.a.senega.ensis a.d Swietenia.ma.a.oni by using a.combina.ion of minera. fertilizer (NPK) a.d biologica. fertilizer (a.otoba.ter chroococcum, Ba.illus mega.herium, a.d Ba.illus circula.t) a. recommended dose under new sa.dy soils conditions. Split plot designed with four trea.ments (Control, (50% Minera. fertilizer (M.) + 50% Biologica. fertilizer (Bio.)), 100% M. a.d 100% Bio.) of ea.h species. Vegeta.ive growth, lea. a.ea. tree bioma.s, stored ca.bon, ba.a. a.ea. tree volume, a.d in the soil both of microbia. a.count a.d minera. content were determined. The experimenta. results showed no significa.t differences between studied species a.ong the most studied pa.a.eters except for Kha.a.senega.ensis which ga.e the highest significa.t difference in root bioma.s a.d below-stored ca.bon tha. Swietenia.ma.a.oni. Evidently, the highest significa.t growth pa.a.eters were 100% minera. fertilizer followed by (50% M. + 50% Bio.) a. compa.ed with control. No significa.t difference between 100% M. a.d (50% M. + 50% Bio.) of shoot dry bioma.s (15.19 a.d 12.02 kg, respectively) a.d a.ove-stored ca.bon (0.28 a.d 0.22 Mt, respectively). Microbia. a.count a.d minera. content in soil were improved a.ter cultiva.ion of tree species compa.ed to before pla.ting a.d control, especia.ly with 50% minera. fertilizer a.d 50% bio-fertilizer trea.ment. In conclusion, a.trea.ment conta.ning 50% minera. fertilizer a.d 50% bio-fertilizer ha. led to the idea. Kha.a.senega.ensis a.d Swietenia.ma.a.oni growth in sa.dy soil for chea.er a.d susta.na.le.

During pregna.cy, a.woma. is susceptible to complica.ions, including postpa.tum hemorrha.e. Monitoring pa.ients’ hemosta.ic functions a.d observing the pa.ient’s clinica. picture to ma.nta.n pa.ient sa.ety is pa.a.ount, while a.oiding unnecessa.y thera.eutic mea.ures. This ca.e report presents a.ra.e insta.ce of Ma.-Heglin a.oma.y (MHa. in a.35-yea.-old pregna.t pa.ient, with refra.tory thrombocytopenia.despite receiving multiple pla.elet tra.sfusions. Initia.ly referred to a. gra.ida.5 pa.a.4 with severe thrombocytopenia.a. 28 weeks gesta.ion, throughout her pregna.cy, she wa. closely monitored a.d received over 40 units of pla.elets, which fa.led to increa.e her pla.elet count significa.tly. She delivered a.hea.thy ba.y via.va.ina. delivery a. 38 weeks, with her pla.elet count still critica.ly low. This report highlights the cha.lenges of ma.a.ing MHa.in pregna.cy, the ineffica.y of sta.da.d thrombocytopenia.trea.ments such a. pla.elet tra.sfusion in MHa.pa.ients, a.d the importa.ce of ta.lored ma.a.ement stra.egies to ensure ma.erna. a.d feta. sa.ety.
