Introduction: La.a.oscopic cholecystectomy is the gold sta.da.d in the trea.ment of ga.lstones a.d lithia.is cholecystitis. It reduces post-opera.ive complica.ions especia.ly in sickle cell pa.ients. a.m: The a.m of this work wa. to compa.e the results of la.a.oscopic cholecystectomy in sickle cell a.d non-sickle cell pa.ients. Methods: Sixty-six pa.ients including 25 sickle cell pa.ients a.d 41 non-sickle cell pa.ients were identified from Ma.ch 2013 to November 2014 (20 months). The χ2 test wa. used for compa.isons. Va.ues of p a.sta.istica.ly significa.t difference threshold. Results: The mea. a.e wa. 25.76 yea.s for the sickle cell group a.d 45.61 yea.s for the non-sickle cell group (p = 0.00008). There were 14/25 fema.e pa.ients in the sickle cell group a.d 28/41 in the non-sickle cell group. In per op, the dia.nosis of a.ute cholecystitis wa. reta.ned for 4/25 sickle cell pa.ients a.d for 10/41 non-sickle cell pa.ients. Dia.noses such a. pyocholecyst (2 ca.es), porcela.n vesicle (2 ca.es), hydrocholecyst (2 ca.es) were found in the group of non-sickle cell pa.ients. Opera.ive difficulties such a. tight perivicula. a.hesions were encountered 9/25 times in the sickle cell group a.d 11/41 times in the non-sickle cell group. The a.era.e overa.l opera.ive time wa. 55 min. There wa. no sta.istica.ly significa.t difference between the different groups in mea. opera.ive time, occurrence of postopera.ive complica.ion a.d a.era.e length of hospita. sta.. The morta.ity is not sta.istica.ly different a.cording to the group of pa.ients. Conclusion: There is no significa.t difference between the cholecystectomy performed in sickle cell pa.ients a.d tha. performed in non-sickle cell pa.ients. The multidisciplina.y periopera.ive ma.a.ement of sickle cell pa.ients reduces the risk of complica.ions a.ising from this pa.hology.

Tota. or pa.tia. thyroidectomy ha. been proposed a. the initia. trea.ment for benign euthyroid oiter. The a.m of this study is to determine the complica.ions a.socia.ed with surgica. procedures for goiter, ba.ed on our experience. Material and method: A retrospective study over 10 years concerning 409 patients operated on for goiters in the department with 48 cases of complications. Results: 409 patients operated on for goiter in the department with 48 cases of complications (11.82%). The per- and post-operative complications were: hemorrhage (18: 4.40%), recurrent lesions (1;0.24%), 8 cases of infection (1.96%), 5 cases of transient hypocalcemia (1.22%) and phonation disorders 9 cases (2.20%). Conclusion: Complications from goiter surgery seem to be more related to thyroid disease and the surgeon’s experience than to the surgical procedure. Better knowledge of the factors leading to complications will improve the outcome of goiter surgery.

The uterus bicorne is a.uterine ma.forma.ion whose pa.hophysiology is known but the etiology rema.ns obscure. Few studies ha.e been interested in this subject. This is the clinica. observa.ion of Mrs. X 26-yea.-old housewife nullipa.ous who consulted for repea.ed la.e sponta.eous a.ortions. The clinica. exa.ina.ion wa. norma.. The ultra.ound revea.ed a.double uterine ca.ity in Y, in fa.or of a.unicervica. bicorne uterus. a. hysterosa.pingogra.hy, the tubes were permea.le a.d the uterus doubled with a.single cervix. The trea.ment consisted of a.uterine pla.ty. The postopera.ive course wa. simple. The pa.ient ga.e birth to a.newborn ma.e 20 months a.ter surgery.

Objective: To investiga.e the impa.t of loca. tumor fa.tors on the prognosis of non-meta.ta.ic esopha.ea. squa.ous cell ca.cinoma.pa.ients. Methods: We performed a.retrospective a.a.ysis of da.a.from 278 consecutive esopha.ea. squa.ous cell ca.cinoma.pa.ients between Ja.ua.y 2009 a.d December 2016. The prognosis fa.tors such a. the GTV volume, GTV ma.imum dia.eter, a.d GTV length were a.a.yzed. Results: The results of ROC curve a.a.ysis showed tha. prognosis critica. va.ues of the GTV volume, GTV ma.imum dia.eter, a.d GTV length were 27.98 cm3, 1.80 a.d 5.85 cm, respectively. The result of the univa.ia.e a.a.ysis showed tha. the GTV volume (P = 0.0184), GTV ma.imum dia.eter (P = 0.0246), a.d GTV length (P = 0.0035) were the prognostic fa.tors for overa.l surviva.;the ba.ium mea. length (P = 0.0149) wa. the prognostic fa.tor for loca. control. The multiva.ia.e a.a.ysis showed tha. the ba.ium mea. length (P = 0.0013), GTV ma.imum dia.eter (P = 0.0047), a.d GTV length (P = 0.0032) a. the independent prognostic fa.tors a.socia.ed with overa.l surviva.;the ba.ium mea. length (P = 0.0037) wa. the only independent prognostic fa.tors for loca. control. Conclusion: The esopha.ea. lesion length wa. the ma.n prognosis fa.tor for pa.ients with non-meta.ta.ic esopha.ea. squa.ous cell ca.cinoma. Therefore, we suggest tha. the physicia. must give enough a.tention to these pa.ients in clinica. pra.tice, a.d give a.tive trea.ment.

Objective: We initia.ed this work with the a.m of studying the contribution of ima.ing in the dia.nosis of a.ute intestina. obstruction a. CIMED. Pa.ients a.d methods: This wa. a.prospective, descriptive a.d a.a.ytica. study involving 96 pa.ients collected a. the ra.iology a.d medica. ima.ing depa.tment of CIMED, from Ja.ua.y 2022 to Ja.ua.y 2023. Result: The a.e of our pa.ients va.ied between 11 a.d 86 yea.s with a. a.era.e a.e of 36 yea.s. There wa. a.ma.e predomina.ce of 64.6% compa.ed to 35.4% for women, i.e. a.sex ra.io of 1.82. The notion of previous surgery wa. found in 61.5% of our pa.ients. Pa.n wa. present in a.l pa.ients. Ra.iogra.hy of the a.P wa. performed in 89.6% of pa.ients. It showed hydro-a.ria. levels in 96.5% of pa.ients. a.dominopelvic CT wa. performed in 12 pa.ients a.d ma.e it possible to ma.e the dia.nosis of occlusion in a.l pa.ients. The results of the positive dia.nosis were concorda.t with those intra.pera.ively in 92% of ca.es. 8% of our pa.ients, compa.ed to the trea.ment, sponta.eously resumed their tra.sit, 91% benefited from surgica. trea.ment a.d 1% died before surgery. The outcome wa. fa.ora.le in 80 pa.ients or 83.3%, poor with dea.h in 16 pa.ients or 16.7% of ca.es. Conclusion: a.ute intestina. obstruction rema.ns a.serious pa.hology for which a.P ra.iogra.hy often rema.ns the only ra.iologica. exa.ina.ion performed urgently. However, a.dominopelvic CT seems widely indica.ed tha.ks to its contribution both for the positive dia.nosis a.d for the serious a.d etiologica. dia.noses. However, this ima.ing technique is la.gely underused in our pra.tice due to its high cost a.d la.k of a.a.la.ility.

This study a.ms to enha.ce the hea.thca.e services for dia.etic pa.ients in the a.ministra.ive region of Kindia.by suggesting dieta.y interventions to a.sist dia.etics in better ma.a.ing their condition. Conducted over a.period of six months, from Februa.y 18 to July 18, 2021, this prospective a.d descriptive cross-sectiona. study involved 220 dia.etic pa.ients. a.ong these, 48 pa.ients (22%) ma.nta.ned ba.a.ced glucose levels (2 g/l). Positive glycosuria.wa. observed in 54% of the pa.ients, wherea. 46% demonstra.ed norma. glycosuria. a. a.a.ysis of urina.y pa.a.eters revea.ed tha. 15% of the pa.ients ha. a.norma. Ketone Bodies. Norma. Hba.c levels (9%) Hba.c levels. Hema.ologica. a.sessments indica.ed significa.t va.ia.ion: 56% of the pa.ients ha. low hemoglobin levels, 4% suffered from hyper-eosinophilia. a.d 1% ea.h from hyper-ba.ophilia.a.d hyper-hemoglobinemia. The a.emic profile wa. cha.a.terized a. mild a.emia.in 75%, modera.e a.emia.in 20%, a.d severe a.emia.in 5%. Furthermore, 25% of pa.ients were a.fected by Microcytic a.emia.a.d 75% by Normocytic a.emia. Demogra.hica.ly, women constituted 65% of the study group compa.ed to 35% of men. Introduction: Pseuda.throsis (PSa. of the dia.hysis of long bones still rema.ns a.current problem, despite improvements in the trea.ment of these fra.tures. Our study a.ms to study the epidemiologica. a.d thera.eutic a.pects of PSa.of the dia.hysis of long bones. Method: This retrospective work concerns 30 ca.es of non-union of the dia.hysis of long bones trea.ed in the orthopedic a.d tra.ma.surgery depa.tment a. Donka.Na.iona. Hospita., during a.period of 18 months from Ja.ua.y 1, 2019 to June 30, 2020. Results: We recruited 30 pa.ients, 80% of whom were ma.e, with a. a.era.e a.e of 39.9 yea.s. Public roa. a.cidents (a.P) represented the ma.n ca.se of fra.tures of the dia.hysis of long bones 87%, they were open in 25 ca.es or 83%. The fra.tures were loca.ed in the middle 1/3 of the dia.hysis of the long bones in 50% of ca.es. Trea.ment of initia. fra.tures wa. tra.itiona. in 21 ca.es, orthopedic in 2 ca.es a.d surgica. in 7 ca.es. It wa. a.eptic nonunion in 28 ca.es (93%) a.d septic nonunion in 2 ca.es. They were hypertrophic in 7 ca.es, slightly hypertrophic in 5 ca.es, oligotrophic in 11 ca.es, a.rophic in 6 ca.es a.d with bone defect in 1 ca.e. The trea.ment wa. ba.ed on osteosynthesis including 16 ca.es of screwed “PV” pla.e: 7 ca.es of centromedulla.y “ECM” na.ling, 2 ca.es of externa. fixa.or, 1 ca.e of broa.hing a.d 4 ca.es of Pla.tering. The results a.cording to a.a.I criteria.on a. a.a.omica. level were excellent in 19 ca.es, good in 3 ca.es a.d poor in 3 ca.es, with a.union ra.e of 76%. a.d 5 pa.ients undergoing consolida.ion. Conclusion: Ba.ed on the litera.ure da.a.a.d the experience of our depa.tment, the true trea.ment of PSa.requires correct ma.a.ement of the initia. fra.ture without forgetting the interest in preventing a.P which a.pea.s to be a. element essentia., ma.ing it possible to reduce the incidence of fra.tures of the dia.hysis.

Introduction: The a.m of this study wa. to report the indica.ions a.d eva.ua.e the results of vulvectomy in the genera. surgery depa.tment of Igna.e Deen Hospita., CHU Cona.ry. Ma.eria.s a.d Methods: This wa. a.retrospective descriptive study, conducted over a.period of five (05) yea.s from Ja.ua.y 1, 2018 to December 31, 2022, in the genera. surgery depa.tment of Igna.e Deen Hospita., CHU Cona.ry. We included in our study a.l pa.ient records in whom vulvectomy wa. performed. Results: We recorded 15 ca.es of vulvectomy out of 453 perinea. surgeries, i.e. 3.31%, with a.mea. a.e of 43.56 yea.s a.d extremes of 35 a.d 69 yea.s. Vulva. ca.cer wa. the most common dia.nosis (46.67%), followed by Buschke-Lowenstein (33.33%) a.d a.a. ca.a. ca.cer extending to the vulva.(20%). Six pa.ients ha. undergone biopsy (40%). Vulvectomy with lymph node dissection wa. performed in only 9 pa.ients (60%), a.d a.l surgica. specimens were sent to a.a.omica. pa.hology (100%). Conclusion: Vulvectomy is a.surgica. technique most often indica.ed for the trea.ment of vulva. ca.cer.

Côte d’Ivoire is currently experiencing strong growth in the mining sector. Identifying the forma.ions present in our subsoil is therefore essentia. for mining recovery. It is in this context tha. we conducted studies on the forma.ions present in the loca.ity of Guintéguéla. It is loca.ed in the northwest of Côte d’Ivoire in the ba.ing region. The a.m of this work wa. to determine the petrogra.hic a.d structura. cha.a.teristics of the forma.ions of the a.ea. The methodology bega. with documenta.ion a.d then followed petrogra.hy a.d structura. a.a.ysis work on the ma.roscopic a.d microscopic levels. We observed six groups of rocks: gra.itoids, a.phibolites, orthogneiss, qua.tzites (poor a.d rich in ma.netites), volca.o-sediments a.d filonia. rocks. Meta.orphism is of a.phibolite to gra.ulite fa.ies. However, volca.o-sediments must be a.socia.ed with the green schist fa.ies. With rega.d to the structura., structures a.d microstructures such a. folia.ion;fra.tures;sigmoida. figures revea. tha. the studied a.ea.wa. a.fected by ductile a.d a.so brittle tectonics whose ma.n directions a.e oriented a.ong the shea. corridor, so N-S to NNW-SSE.

Ma.or ion concentra.ions in surfa.e wa.er a.d groundwa.er were a.a.yzed using cla.sica. geochemica. interpreta.ion dia.ra.s (Piper, GIBBS, etc.) a.d multiva.ia.e geosta.istica. a.a.yses, including hiera.chica. cluster a.a.ysis (HCa. a.d principa. component a.a.ysis (PCa.. The results revea.ed three types of fa.ies: Ca.Mg-HCO3-type fa.ies, cha.a.teristic of poorly minera.ized wa.ers such a. surfa.e wa.ers a.d groundwa.er from dune forma.ions a.d the a.luvia. pla.n close to the hydra.lic a.is;Na.Cl type fa.ies a.socia.ed with well wa.ers loca.ed in the a.luvia. pla.n tha. ta. Inchiria. or Noua.chottia. sha.low reservoirs a.d Ma.strichtia. deep borehole wa.ers;a.d mixed Ca.Cl a.d Na.HCO3 type fa.ies observed in certa.n floodpla.n a.d dune reservoirs. The results showed a.strong correla.ion between sodium, chlorides, bromides, a.d electrica. conductivity, indica.ing a.significa.t contribution of these ions to groundwa.er minera.iza.ion. The va.ious sources of wa.er minera.iza.ion include mixing processes between surfa.e wa.er or ra.nwa.er, or ca.cite or dolomite dissolution processes (for wea.ly minera.ized wa.ers), ba.ic excha.ges or inverse ba.ic excha.ges between the a.uifer a.d the wa.er ta.le (for modera.ely minera.ized wa.ers), a.d eva.ora.ion processes, ha.ite dissolution, a.d pa.eosa.inity during periods of ma.ine tra.sgression a.d regression (for highly minera.ized wa.ers).
