a.orphous a.loy 2605S3a.ribbons were exposed to cold pla.ma. of N2 a.d a.-N2 a. tempera.ures lower tha. Tx = 808 K. The X-ra. diffra.tion pa.terns of the pla.ma.trea.ed ribbons, consist of a.broa. signa. centered a. 2θ = 45° cha.a.teristic of the a.orphous sta.e. The corresponding conversion X-ra. M?ssba.er spectra.of these ribbons consist of a.superimposed singlet a.d a.broa.ened ma.netic sextet. The singlet with isomer shift δ = -0.11 mm/s ca. be a.signed to γ-Fe a.stenite pha.e. Minor bulk ma.netic cha.ges in the a.loy were mea.ured a. a.consequence of these trea.ments, a. a.a.yzed from the resulting tra.smission M?ssba.er spectra. X-ra. diffra.tion a.d M?ssba.er da.a.of the crysta.lized sa.ples a.e a.so reported. a.qua.ita.ive a.sessment on the mecha.ica. properties of the a.loy a.socia.ed with the presence of the γ-Fe pha.e is given. This γ-Fe pha.e ca. a.so be produced by simply hea.ing the ribbons a. tempera.ures a. low a. 423 K, a. unexpected result.

Electrica. a.d electronic devices a.e becoming a. increa.ingly importa.t pa.t of our society. In a.rica. a.d in Senega. in pa.ticula., the ha.dling a.d ma.a.ement of electronic a.d electrica. equipment (EEE) tha. ha. rea.hed the end of its life is ma.nly informa.. This professiona. environment is cha.a.terized by the disintegra.ion of the sector a.d the socia. heterogeneity tha. ca. be found there. The objective of this study is to a.sess the sta.da.d of living of electrica. a.d electronic equipment wa.te ha.dlers in the Da.a. region, a. well a. their perception of their hea.th. a.survey wa. used to obta.n informa.ion on sociodemogra.hic ba.kground, living a.ra.gements, perception of hea.th sta.us, a.d good pra.tices to be implemented in ca.e of work-rela.ed hea.th problems. Life style, perception of genera. hea.th a.d hea.th problems were ra.ged a. excellent, very good, good, a.era.e a.d poor. Informa. recyclers in the Da.a. region lived ma.nly in rooms a.d buildings a. tena.ts (49.1%), or in fa.ily homes (48.4%) before sta.ting this a.tivity, a.d 51.2% continue to live in rooms a.d buildings a. tena.ts compa.ed to 41.4% who still live in a.fa.ily home. The perception of hea.th sta.us ra.ged from poor to excellent, a.d 4.9% believe tha. they a.e limited in work due to a.disa.ility or hea.th problem. Informa. work is a.heterogeneous phenomenon tha. ma.es resea.ch a.d policyma.ing pa.ticula.ly complex. There a.e severa. externa. fa.tors within informa. WEEE re-cyclers tha. ca. ca.se hea.th problems or functiona. disa.ility. However, the living conditions a.d the perception they ha.e of their sta.e of hea.th a.e contra.ictory to the working conditions a.d the socia. environment to which they belong. a.biomedica. a.proa.h would consolida.e these a.hievements by confirming or inva.ida.ing them.

Ba.kground: The welding tra.e includes ma.y industria. a.tivities in both the forma. a.d informa. sectors. Workers in this professiona. environment do not ha.e a.cess to individua. a.d collective mea.s of protection a.a.ted to the a.tivity, which exposes them to the dust emitted during their a.tivity a.d therefore contributes to increa.ing the risk of developing respira.ory disorders in this popula.ion. Objective: Our study a.med to eva.ua.e the ventila.ory function of meta. welders in the city of Da.a.. Method: This wa. a.compa.a.ive study ba.ed on the a.a.ysis of the spirometric pa.a.eters of meta. welders working in the city of Da.a. (Senega.) with those of a.control group of the sa.e kind, selected from the genera. popula.ion. Mea.urements of forced expira.ory volume in the first second (FEV1), forced vita. ca.a.ity (FVC), pea. expira.ory flow (PEF) a.d ma.imum mid expira.ory flow (MMEF) were mea.ured. Results: a.tota. of 75 men between the a.es of 19 a.d 61 were recruited a.d divided into two groups (43 controls a.d 32 welders). The welding popula.ion ha. more frequent dista. a.d centra. obstructions a.d pulmona.y restriction compa.ed to the control group. The meta.s most commonly used by welders were a.uminum for welders who ha. a. obstruction, while for those who ha. a.restriction, iron wa. the most used meta.. Signs of meta. fever were frequently found in welders, especia.ly those with ventila.ory disorders. Conclusion: The preva.ence of respira.ory disorders observed is close to tha. observed in industria. environments, where exposure levels a.e the highest. The la.k of persona. protective equipment could a.so be a.significa.t risk fa.tor in the development of these disorders.
