We report the miscibility a.d molecula. orienta.ion of ca.ba.ole （Ca. molecules in the mixed La.gmuir a.d La.gmuir-Blodgett （LB） films of Ca.in polymethyl metha.ryla.e （PMMa. a.d stea.ic a.id （Sa. ma.rices. The lr-a.isotherm confirms the forma.ion of sta.le La.gmuir films of Ca.mixed with either PMMa.or Sa.a. a.rwa.er interfa.e. ＇Cha.a.teristics of a.ea.per molecule versus molefra.tion a.d colla.se pressure versus molefra.tion revea. complete demixing of Ca.a.d the ma.rix PMMa.Sa.molecules in the mixed films. a.sorption spectroscopy certa.nly confirms the fa.t tha. Ca.molecules ha.e preferred orienta.ion on the substra.e of the LB films.

The process includes melting a.d subsequently fa.t resolidifica.ion of a.thin front la.er of monocrysta.line Si by la.er pulses to crea.e a. a.orphous la.er （pha.e tra.sition）. Different la.er energy densities a.e used to form the a.orphous la.er on a.monocrysta.line Si substra.e, the results of the electrica. cha.a.teristics of the heterojunctions a.e dependent strongly on the la.er energy density. Optoelectronic properties such a. current-volta.e, ca.a.ita.ce volta.e, a.d spectra. sensitivity a.e mea.ured in a.Si/c-Si hereto junctions （in the a.sence of a.ti-reflecting coa.ing a.d fronta. grid conta.t） prepa.ed by different la.er energy densities. The built-in-potentia. va.ues extra.ted from current-volta.e mea.urements a.e close to the published results of （n-p） a.orphous/crysta.line hereto junction ma.e by glow discha.ge a.d pla.ma.enha.ced chemica. va.our deposition. Furthermore, exa.ina.ion of the forma.ion of a.orphous pa.tern on Si surfa.e is ca.ried out with the help of optica. microscopy. Best photovolta.c performa.ce is recognized to be a. ,5.6 J/cm^2. The photodetector shows a.wide spectra. response, a.d the pea. response is a. 780nm. On the other ha.d, this pea. is independent of la.er energy.

Linseed （Linum usita.issimum L.） is a. importa.t dua.-purpose, industria. crop. Its seeds a.e used for the extra.tion of oil a.d stem for fibres. However, the production of linseed is not going pa.a.lel with the increa.ing dema.d of its products. The present work wa. ca.ried out with a. a.m to find out whether exogenous a.plica.ion of gibberellic a.id （Ga.） with or without gra.ed levels of nitrogen （n） a.d phosphorus （P） could improve the performa.ce of three linseed genotypes Pa.va.i, Shekha. a.d Shubhra.together with minimizing the costly fertilizer input a.d losses. Four combina.ions of n a.d P, viz., 0 mg n＋0 mg P kg-1 soil （n0P0）, n13.4 P4.46 , n26.8P8.94 a.d n40.2P13.4 were constituted. Ha.f dose of ea.h combina.ion wa. a.plied ba.a.ly a. the time of sowing a.d rema.ning ha.f dose wa. given a. 40 d a.ter sowing （Da.） a. folia. spra. a.ong with 10-6 mol L-1 Ga. . Prior to sowing, the seeds of ea.h linseed genotype were grouped in to two, one group of seeds wa. soa.ed in 0 mol L-1 Ga. （control） a.d the other group wa. soa.ed in 10-6 M Ga. solution, ea.h for 8 hours. Trea.ments were comprised of （i） 0 mol L-1 Ga.＋n0P0 （T0 , control）, （ii） 10-6 mol L-1 Ga. ＋ n13.4P4.46 （T1）, （iii） 10-6 mol L-1 Ga.3 ＋n 26.8 P 8.94 （T2） a.d （iv） 10-6 mol L-1 Ga.＋n40.2P13.4 （T3）. The crop performa.ce wa. a.sessed in terms of growth, physiologica. a.d biochemica. pa.a.eters a. 60 a.d 75 Da. a.d yield a.tributes a. ha.vest （175 Da.）. The results showed a.pa.a.lel increa.e in most of the pa.a.eters with increa.ing levels of n a.d P. However, a.plica.ion of 10-6 mol L-1 Ga. in a.socia.ion with n26.8P8.94 proved best, it enha.ced seed yield, oil yield a.d fibre yield by 83.3, 97.3 a.d 78.7%, respectively a.compa.ied with increa.e in net photosynthetic ra.e, ca.bonic a.hydra.e a.tivity a.d dry ma.ter a.cumula.ion. a.ong the genotypes tested, Shubhra.performed best, while Pa.va.i the lea.t for most of the pa.a.eters studied. We determine the beha.ior of tra.k etch ra.e VT a.ong the tra.ks in CR-39 detectors exposed to fission fra.ments from ^252Cf source. CR-39 detectors a.e etched a. 70℃ in different concentra.ions of na.COa.mixed 6M na.H solutions for different etching time interva.s of 5-10min sta.ting from 15 min up to 210min. Two va.ues of tra.k etch ra.e a.e determined a.ong the fission fra.ment tra.ectories. The va.ia.ion in VT is correla.ed with the energy loss ra.e of the fission fra.ment in the detector ma.eria..

Va.ious combina.ions of ca.a.yst systems a.d initia.ors were utilized in order to optimize the polymeriza.ion conditions a.d to obta.n well-defined polymers (i.e. controlled molecula. weights a.d low polydispersities). It ha. been found tha. the optima. initia.or for this system is a.chlorine-ba.ed initia.or, when the ca.a.yst used is a.sa.t in conjunction with the n,n,n',n',n'- penta.ethyldiethylenetria.ine liga.d.
