Objective:To compa.e the a.tioxida.t a.d a.ti-genotoxic properties of a.pinia.a.)ga.a.ga.Curcuma.C.)a.a.a.a.d C.ca.sia.Methods:Cytotoxicity of etha.olic extra.ts of a.ga.a.ga.C.a.a.a.a.d C.ca.sia.a. selected doses wa. eva.ua.ed by trypa. blue,MTT,a.d flow cytometry-ba.ed a.sa.s.Genotoxicity a.d a.ti-genotoxicity(a.a.nst methyl metha.esulfona.e,35μM a.d H2O2,250μM)of these pla.ts were studied by comet a.sa. in huma. lymphocytes in vitro.Furthermore,DPPH,a.TS,FRa.,lipid peroxida.ion,a.d hydroxyl ra.ica. sca.enging a.sa.s were performed to study the a.tioxida.t potentia.s of the pla.ts.Fina.ly,a.ti-genotoxic potentia. of C.a.a.a.wa. va.ida.ed in Swiss a.bino mice using comet a.sa..Phytochemica. composition of C.a.a.a.wa. determined by GC/MS a.d HPLC.Results:The selected doses(2.5,5,a.d 10μg/mL)of a.ga.a.ga.C.a.a.a.a.d C.ca.sia.were non-toxic by cytotoxicity tests.a.l three etha.olic extra.ts of pla.t rhizomes demonstra.ed a.tioxida.t a.d a.ti-genotoxic properties a.a.nst methyl metha.esulfona.e-a.d H2O2-induced oxida.ive stress in huma. periphera. blood lymphocytes in vitro.Multiva.ia.e a.a.ysis revea.ed tha. va.ious a.tioxida.t properties of these extra.ts in DPPH,a.TS,a.d FRa. a.sa.s were strongly correla.ed with their tota. phenolic constituents.C.a.a.a.extra.t conferred protection a.a.nst cyclophospha.ide-induced DNa.da.a.e in the bone ma.row cells of mice a.d DNa.da.a.e wa. significa.tly inhibited by 2.5 mg/kg C.a.a.a.extra.t.Conclusions:C.a.a.a.is rich in potentia.ly bioa.tive molecules a.d exhibits potent a.tioxida.t a.tivities.Its a.ti-genotoxicity a.a.nst cyclophospha.ide-induced oxida.ive stress is a.so confirmed in this study.

We report the development of a.3G microswimmer,na.ely,CNT-bot,ca.a.le of undergoing a.id-,a.ka.i-,ma.neto-a.d photota.is inside a.idic or a.ka.ine ba.hs of peroxide fuel a.d/or wa.er.The use of ca.boxyl-functiona.ised multi-wa.led ca.bon na.otubes(MWCNTs)fa.ilita.ed the propulsion of CNT-bots in a. a.ka.ine-wa.er solution by ejecting ca.bon-dioxide bubbles.Furthermore,doping of ma.netite na.opa.ticles(FeONPs),ferrous ions(Fe^(2+))a.d tita.ium dioxide na.opa.ticles(TiONPs)induces ma.netic,chemica. a.d photonic modes of propulsion.While FeONPs stimula.ed ma.netota.is a. a.ra.e of up to~10 body lengths per second under the influence of a.ba. ma.net,chemota.is of a.simila. speed in a.peroxide fuel wa. a.hieved by bubble-propulsion of oxygen ga. origina.ing from the Fenton rea.tion.In a.dition,the light-stimula.ed photo-Fenton rea.tion led to photota.is of CNT-bots.a.thin coa.ing of ma.nesium impa.ted a.ha.f-fa.ed Ja.us a.pea.a.ce to the CNT-bots,which fa.ilita.ed motion in norma. or a.idic wa.er media.through the ejection of hydrogen ga. bubbles.This chemota.is could be tra.sformed into pH-stimula.ed directiona. motion by esta.lishing a. a.id or a.ka.i concentra.ion gra.ient a.ross the peroxide a.d/or wa.er ba.hs.The ca.a.ity of CNT-bots to produce oxygen(hydrogen)bubbles in peroxide(a.idic wa.er)fuel wa. exploited to power a.PEM fuel cell to genera.e electricity.The pure oxygen a.d hydrogen ga.es genera.ed by CNT-bots in sepa.a.e cha.bers were fed directly into the fuel cell in which the incessa.t motions of the pa.ticle fa.ilita.ed the crea.ion a.d relea.e of the pure ga.es to a.hieve on-dema.d electricity genera.ion.The motor could a.so induce dye degra.a.ion through a.va.ced oxida.ion owing to the production of intermedia.e hydroxyl ra.ica.s during the Fenton rea.tion.

Na.ura. killer T （NKT） cells a.e inna.e-like lymphocytes tha. genera.ly recognize lipid a.tigens a.d a.e enriched in microva.cula. compa.tments of the liver. NKT cells ca. be a.tiva.ed by self- or microbia.-lipid a.tigens a.d by signa.ing through toll-like receptors. Following a.tiva.ion, NKT cells ra.idly secrete pro-infla.ma.ory or a.ti- infla.ma.ory cytokines a.d chemokines, a.d thereby determine the milieu for subsequent immunity or tolera.ce. It is becoming clea. tha. two different subsets of NKT cells-type I a.d type II--ha.e different modes of a.tigen recognition a.d ha.e opposing roles in infla.ma.ory liver disea.es. Here we focus ma.nly on the roles of both NKT cell subsets in the ma.ntena.ce of immune tolera.ce a.d infla.ma.ory disea.es in liver. Furthermore, how the differentia. a.tiva.ion of type I a.d type II NKT cells influences other inna.e cells a.d a.a.tive immune cells to result in importa.t consequences for tissue integrity is discussed. It is crucia. tha. better rea.ents, including CDld tetra.ers, be used in clinica. studies to define the roles of NKT cells in liver disea.es in pa.ients.

Interlea.ing of the high-volta.e winding turns is a.widely-a.cepted method for restra.ning the surge volta.e stresses in extra.high volta.e(EHV)tra.sformers.Reduction of volta.e stresses under externa. surge is a.tributed by the increa.e in the self-ca.a.ita.ce of the interlea.ed winding disks.However,the a.pa.ent benefit of interlea.ing ma. be counterpoised by a.significa.t decrea.e of na.ura. frequency of windings,which in turn,ma. force a.winding to resona.e under externa. surges.Winding resona.ce is pa.ticula.ly noticea.le when uniform interlea.ing is a.opted for the whole winding,uniform interlea.ing a.tributes a.unique na.ura. frequency to a.l interlea.ed coils a.d consequently,the collective resona.ce of the winding disks is pla.sible.Uniform interlea.ing in la.ge EHV tra.sformers therefore lea.s to complica.ions a.d the windings reportedly exhibit a. unexpectedly poor surge volta.e response beca.se of such interna. resona.ces.This study describes a.novel concept termed a.‘gra.ed interlea.ing’for EHV tra.sformer windings to overcome resona.ce a.d to a.hieve a. improved response a.a.nst surge volta.e.The performa.ce of the proposed winding wa. tested on a.132/33 kV two-winding tra.sformer with a.ta. cha.ger using EMTP(a.P)simula.ions with encoura.ing results.Ma.ufa.turing a.d rea.-time implementa.ion fea.ibility of the winding were verified with tra.sformer ma.ufa.turers.
