Ba.KGROUND:In clinica. pra.tice,some pa.ients might not be a.le or unwilling to provide a.thorough history of medica.ion a.d poison *** a.m of this study wa. to use toxicologica. a.a.ysis to exa.ine the clinica. cha.a.teristics of pa.ients with a.ute poisoning whose exposure history wa. uncerta.n from a.toxicologica. a.a.ysis ***:This wa. a.retrospective a.d descriptive study from a. institute of *** registra.ion informa.ion a.d test reports spa.ning the period from a.ril 1,2020 to Ma.ch 31,2022,were *** with uncerta.n exposure histories a.d who underwent toxicologica. a.a.ysis were *** ma.ifesta.ions a.d ca.egories of toxics were ***:a.ong the 195 pa.ients with positive toxicologica. a.a.ysis results,the ma.n ca.ses of uncerta.n exposure history wa. disturba.ce of consciousness(62.6%),una.a.eness(23.6%)a.d unwillingness or la.k of coopera.ion(13.8%).The predomina.t clinica. ma.ifesta.ions were disturbed consciousness(62.6%),followed by vomiting a.d na.sea.14.4%)a.d liver function a.norma.ities(8.7%).a.compa.ison of clinica. ma.ifesta.ions between pa.ients with positive a.d nega.ive(n=99)toxicologica. a.a.yses results revea.ed significa.tly different proportions of disturba.ces in consciousness(63%vs.21%),dizziness(1.5%vs.5.1%),multi-orga. fa.lure(1.5%vs.7.1%),a.d loca. pa.n(0 vs 4%).The ma.n ca.egories of substa.ces involved were psychia.ric medica.ions(23.1%),seda.ives(20.5%),insecticides(13.8%),a.d herbicides(12.8%).CONCLUSION:The clinica. ma.ifesta.ions of a.ute poisoning in pa.ients with a. uncerta.n exposure history a.e diverse a.d nonspecific,a.d toxicologica. a.a.ysis pla.s a.pivota. role in the dia.nosis a.d differentia. dia.nosis of such pa.ients.
