Ba.kground: In recent deca.es, the incidence of children’s hema.ologica. ma.igna.cies ha. been increa.ing worldwide including Tunisia. Their severity is reflected in the importa.ce of the medica., socia. a.d economic impa.t. This increa.e rema.ns fully unexpla.ned, a.d the involvement of genetic, environmenta. a.d occupa.iona. fa.tors is strongly suspected. Ma.eria.s a.d methods: Our study wa. a.cross-sectiona. survey of the type ca.e-control conducted in the University Hospita. of Fa.ha. Ha.hed of Sousse during the period ra.ging between 1 July 2011 a.d 30 June 2012, a.d which included children with a.ute leukemia.compa.ed to children unha.med by neopla.tic disea.e. Ca.es a.d controls were ma.ched by a.e a.d gender. Our objective wa. to describe the socio-occupa.iona. cha.a.teristics of the pa.ents of children with a.ute leukemia.a.d to identify potentia. occupa.iona. fa.tors implica.ed in the genesis of a.ute leukemia. Results: The number of a.ute leukemia.ca.es in the Hema.ology Service a.d da. hospita. of the University Hospita. of Fa.ha. Ha.hed during the study period wa. 66 ca.es divided into in 40 boys a.d 26 girls with a.sex ra.io of 1.53. Our ca.es a.d controls were ma.ched by a.e a.d gender. The risk of incidence of leukemia.in children from smoking fa.hers wa. higher (p = 0.02, OR = 2.24, IC = [1.11 - 4.52]). The risk of incidence of leukemia.in children from a.coholic fa.hers wa. higher with p = 0.009, OR = 3.9;CI = [1.33 - 11.39]. a.ter a.justing different va.ia.les, the difference persisted significa.tly with pa.= 0.03 a.d ORa.= 3.5, ICa.= [1.09 - 11.6]. 25.7% of ca.es ha. a.fa.ily history of blood disea.e a.d neopla.ia. wherea. no control presented tha.. The difference wa. sta.istica.ly significa.t (p = 0.006, OR = 1.46, IC = [1.38 - 1.56]). The pa.enta. occupa.iona. exposures a.socia.ed to the occurrence of a.ute leukemia.in children were pesticides with a.sta.istica.ly significa.t difference (p = 0.03, OR = 2.94, IC = [1.06 - 8.13]). Hypersa.ine environments, represented by the chotts, the Sebkha. a.d the sa.ine soils, etc., a.e a.typica. exa.ple of extreme environment ha.boring a.pa.ticula.ly interesting microbia. fla.a. In this context, the a.m of this word is to try to ma.e a.cha.a.teriza.ion of the ba.teria.in the wa.ers of the chott of a.#239;n El-Beida.in the region of Oua.gla.(South a.geria.. The wa.er sa.ples ta.en a.e cha.a.terized by a.pH between 6.6 a.d 8.39, the wa.er is neutra. to a.ka.ine wa.er, with a.tempera.ure between 8˚C to 10˚C, a.d a. electrica. conductivity between 2.4 to 6 ds/m reflecting extremely sa.ty wa.er. These cha.a.teristics ena.led us to select a.microflora.specific to this environment. The microbiologica. a.a.sis of these sa.ples revea.ed fifteen isola.ed stra.ns, including the following species: Escherichia.coli 2, Fla.oba.terium meningosepticum, Shigella.sp, a.romona. sa.monicida. with a.ba.teria. density tha. va.ied between 0.27 × 104 to 2.236 × 104, which ma. expla.n why the wa.er in this ecosystem is rich in specific importa.t microflora. The results of Na.l tolera.ce ha.e revea.ed to us tha. certa.n isola.ed stra.ns tolera.e a.Na.l concentra.ion up to 35%, these a.e euryha.ine ba.teria. With rega.d to the a.ta.onist test, the stra.ns (S8) ha.e a.strong a.tifunga. ca.a.ity, which ca. be expla.ned by the fa.t tha. la.ter ha. a.significa.t competitive power a.a.nst a.pergillus ca.bona.ius a.d Penicillium sp. The microbia. explora.ion of this specific extreme ecosystem proved successful, a. we were a.le to detect significa.t specific microbia. diversity.

This study investiga.ed the prospect of using a.ueous mixture of 1-butylpyridinium tetra.luorobora.e ([Bpy][BF4]) ionic liquid (IL) a.d monoetha.ola.ine (MEa. a. solvent in post-combustion CO2 ca.ture (PCC) process. This is done by a.a.ysis of the process through modelling a.d simula.ion. In litera.ure, reported PCC models with a.mixture of IL a.d MEa.solvent were developed using equilibrium-ba.ed ma.s tra.sfer a.proa.h. In contra.t, the model in this study is developed using ra.e-ba.ed ma.s tra.sfer a.proa.h in a.pen Plus®. From the results, the mixed a.ueous solvent with 5–30 wt% IL a.d 30 wt% MEa.showed 7%–9% a.d 12%–27% less specific regenera.ion energy a.d solvent circula.ion ra.e respectively compa.ed to commonly used 30 wt% MEa.solvent. It is concluded tha. the IL concentra.ion (wt%) in the solvent blend ha.e significa.t impa.t on specific regenera.ion energy a.d solvent circula.ion ra.e. This study is a.sta.ting point for further resea.ch on technica. a.d economic a.a.ysis of PCC process with a.ueous blend of IL a.d MEa.a. solvent.

The present work presents a.study of the biologica. trea.ment of fish processing wa.tewa.a. sa.t concentra.ion of 55 g/L. Wa.tewa.er wa. trea.ed by both continuous stirred-ta.rea.tor（CSTR） a.d membra.e biorea.tor（MBR） during 50 a.d 100 da.s, respectively. Th biologica. processes involved sa.t-tolera.t ba.teria.from na.ura. hypersa.ine environme a. different orga.ic loa.ing ra.es（OLRs）. The phylogenetic a.a.ysis of the correspond excised DGGE ba.ds ha. demonstra.ed tha. the ta.onomic a.filia.ion of the most domin species includes Ha.omona.a.ea. a.d Fla.oba.teria.ea. fa.ilies of the Proteoba.teria.Ga.m proteoba.teria.cla.s） a.d the Ba.teroidetes phyla. respectively. The results of MBR w better tha. those of CSTR in the remova. of tota. orga.ic ca.bon with efficiencies from 97 to 98.6%. Nevertheless, sa.inity with increa.ing OLR a.gra.a.es fouling tha. requires m clea.ing for a.membra.e in MBR while lea.s to deteriora.ion of sludge settlea.ility a.effluent qua.ity in CSTR.

Unfortuna.ely, the existing outdoor loca.iza.ion systems fa.ls in indoor environment, which ha. motiva.ed resea.chers to develop new loca.iza.ion systems tha. cha.lenge the indoor environments. In our work, we propose a.3D fingerprinting-ba.ed loca.iza.ion system tha. estima.es a.source position using a.oustic signa.s. The la.ter ha. the a.va.ta.e of being used in a.most roa.ing devices. No dedica.ed infra.tructure is necessa.y a.d the existing infra.tructures ca. then be reused for indoor purposes. The proposed system ha. been eva.ua.ed in experimenta. tests in a. a.ea.of dimensions 1.5 m * 1.5 m * 2 m when four microphones were pla.ed a. known positions a.d a. a.tificia. fa. is turned on. Results show tha. turbulence a.fects the precision of estima.ing the source position by 7% for a. a.cura.y of 8.5 cm.

Previous clinica. resea.ch studies consider the existence of differences a.ong norma. individua. cerebra. cortex a.d show tha. some fea.ures such a. cerebra. sulci a.e unique for ea.h individua. so tha. huma. bra.ns a.e a.a.omica.ly different a.d unique to ea.h individua.. In this work, we highlight the idea.which consists in using medica. da.a. such a. bra.n MRI ima.es for the purpose of individua. identifica.ion or verifica.ion. In other words, we ra.se the following question: ca. one identify individua.s using their bra.n geometry cha.a.teristics? Our a.m is to va.ida.e the fea.ibility of this new biometrics tool ba.ed on huma. bra.n cha.a.teriza.ion. The proposed a.proa.h differs from existent biometrics moda.ities (e.g. fingerprint, ha.d, etc.) in the sense tha. bra.n fea.ures ca.not be modified by individua.s a. it is the ca.e when using fa.e fingerprints, or fa.e ha.ds. In this work, we consider volumetric Ma.netic Resona.ce Ima.es (MRI) from which bra.n sha.es a.e extra.ted using a.3D level-sets segmenta.ion a.proa.h. a.terwa.ds, geometrica. descriptors a.e extra.ted from the 3D bra.n volume a.d from a.projected version which provide specific fea.ures such a. the isoperimetric ra.io, the cortica. surfa.e curva.ure a.d the Gyrifica.ion index. Eva.ua.ions performed on a.set of MRI ima.es obta.ned from (MeDEISa. da.a.a.e show tha. it is possible to distinguish between individua.s using their bra.n cha.a.teristics. The first cha.a.teriza.ion method is ba.ed on discrete curva.ure cla.sifica.ion. This is consists on estima.ing curva.ure informa.ion a. ea.h vertex in the cortica. surfa.e mesh. The second method is ba.ed on tra.sforming the bra.n surfa.e mesh into Digita. Eleva.ion Model (DEM), where ea.h vertex is designed by its spa.e coordina.es a.d geometric mea.ures rela.ed to a.reference surfa.e. Buerger’s disea.e, a.so ca.led thromboa.giitis oblitera.s (Ta.), is a. infla.ma.ory disea.e a.fecting sma.l a.d medium size blood vessels of the limbs. Severa. risk fa.tors a.e strongly a.socia.ed with this disea.e. In fa.t, hea.y smokers represent 99% of pa.ients dia.nosed with Buerger’s disea.e a.d smoking cessa.ion ca. slow down the progression of the pa.hology. Ulcers a.d ga.grene a.e very common complica.ions a.d Ta. ma. a.so ca.se a.va.culitis a. well a. ischemic da.a.e to the dista. pa.t of the limbs tha. ca. eventua.ly lea. to limb a.puta.ion. Here, we report the ca.e of a.43 yea.s old pa.ient, a.flight personnel working in a.Tunisia. a.rline compa.y who consults for a.lesion of the left toe tha. a.pea.ed 2 weeks a.o. He is a.chronic invetera.e smoker with 36 pa.k-yea.s. The dia.nosis of Ta. wa. ma.e ba.ed on the clinica. presenta.ion a.d the results of the Doppler Ultra.ound of the left toe. This disea.e ha. a.ma.or impa.t on the qua.ity of life due to the risk of necrotic ulcers a.d a.puta.ion. Ta.lov cysts a.e often a.ymptoma.ic a.d incidenta.ly discovered. However, in few ca.es, these cysts ca. be symptoma.ic a.d ma. ma.ifest a. chronic low ba.k pa.n. We report a.ca.e of a.Ta.lov cyst incidenta.ly dia.nosed by MRI in a.wiring fa.tory worker compla.ning of chronic low ba.k pa.n exa.erba.ed with the ca.rying of hea.y loa.s a.d the hyper solicita.ion of the lumba. spine during his professiona. a.tivity. The clinica. ma.ifesta.ions of symptoma.ic Ta.lov cysts ca. influence the life qua.ity of pa.ients a.d ha.e enormous repercussions on their work a.ility, which in some ca.es ca. lea. to job loss. Thus, the socio-professiona. a.pects of symptoma.ic Ta.lov cysts should not be underestima.ed a.d ma.nta.ning these pa.ients in employment should be considered from the outset a. a. objective in its own right in the ma.a.ement.
