The occurrence of pha.ma.eutica.s in wa.er bodies a.d drinking wa.er poses risks for the envi-ronment a.d huma. hea.th,thus it is necessa.y to study methodologies tha. a.low the efficient remova. of these conta.ina.ts.In this work,corn cob-derived biocha. wa. obta.ned by ZnCl_(2)-a.tiva.ion,a.d subsequent ca.boniza.ion a. 700℃.The effect of conta.t time,tempera.ure,pH,a.d initia. concentra.ion on the a.sorption ca.a.ity of a.eta.inophen(a.E)a.d a.oxicillin(a.X)wa. determined through ba.ch experiments.In a.dition,the kinetics,isotherms,a.d ther-modyna.ics pa.a.eters were determined.The a.tiva.ed biocha. exhibited a.ma.imum a.sorp-tion ca.a.ity of 332.08 mg/g for a.E a.d 175.86 mg/g for a.X.The a.sorption kinetics a.d a.sorption isotherm of a.E corresponded to the pseudo-second order a.d La.gmuir model,re-spectively.Mea.while,pseudo-first-order kinetics a.d the Freundlich isotherm model were well-fitted to a.X a.sorption.The a.E a.d a.X co-a.sorption ha. a.synergistic effect on a.X but a. a.ta.onistic effect on a.E remova.,a.hieving a.ma.imum a.sorption ca.a.ity of 193.51 a.d 184.58 mg/g,respectively.On the other ha.d,fixed-bed column experiments showed tha. the a.sorption ca.a.ity depends on the influent concentra.ion,a.d the brea.through curve fits the Thoma. a.d Yoon-Nelson model.The mecha.ism a.sorption studies showed tha. surfa.e inter-a.tions(hydrogen bonding forma.ion a.d n-𝜋intera.tions)a.e the ma.n driving forces for the a.sorption process,a.d pore filling is the ra.e-limiting step.In this wa.,the prepa.ed biocha. exhibits a.high potentia. for the a.sorption of pha.ma.eutica. compounds from wa.er.

Power Grid(NPG),including tra.smission congestion a.d VRE curta.lment.To mitiga.e these limita.ions,a. innova.ive virtua. tra.smission solution ba.ed on ba.tery energy stora.e systems(BESSs),known a. grid booster(GB),ha. been proposed to increa.e the ca.a.ity of the ma.n 500 kV corridor of the NPG.This pa.er a.a.yzes the dyna.ic performa.ce of the GB using a.wide-a.ea.electroma.netic tra.sient(EMT)model of the NPG.The GB project,composed of two 500 MVa.BESS units a. ea.h extreme of the 500 kV corridor,a.lows increa.ing the tra.smission ca.a.ity for 15 min during N-1 contingencies,overcoming tra.smission limita.ions under norma. opera.ion conditions while ma.nta.ning system sta.ility during fa.lts.The dyna.ic beha.ior of the GB is a.so a.a.yzed to control power flow a. well a. volta.e sta.ility.The results show tha. the GB is a. effective solution to a.low grea.er penetra.ion of VRE genera.ion while ma.nta.ning system sta.ility in the NPG.

Susta.na.ility is a.lea.ing trend in the context of food production. a.ditiona.ly， consumers increa.ingly dema.d sa.er a.d less-processed products. a.ong the different technologies used to ma.nta.n the qua.ity a.d extend the shelf-life of fresh a.d minima.ly-processed food， na.ura. a.timicrobia. a.ents offer a.promising stra.egy to repla.e conventiona. compounds. In this rega.d， pha.e lytic proteins or lysins， such a. endolysins a.d virion-a.socia.ed peptidoglyca. hydrola.es (Va.GHs)， ha.e been proposed a. a.via.le option for the a.oida.ce a.d elimina.ion of undesira.le ba.teria.within the food production cha.n. Even when a.plied exogenously， these proteins ca. degra.e the ba.teria. cell wa.l ma.nta.ning their lytic a.tivity. This fea.ure， a.ongside their modula. structure， which ca. be exploited for bioengineering， provides significa.t biotechnologica. potentia.. However， despite the promising properties of lysins， the ma.n obsta.le for their commercia.iza.ion is the limited lega. informa.ion regula.ing their use. This cha.lenge underscores the need to na.iga.e complex regula.ory pa.hwa.s. The prima.y objective of this review is to a.dress this crucia. ga. a.d summa.ize the ma.y prospective a.plica.ions of endolysins during the different sta.es of food production. By doing so， we a.m to provide cla.ity a.d insight into the regula.ory cha.lenges tha. must be overcome for the successful utiliza.ion of lysins.

Introduction: HIV, the huma. immunodeficiency virus, is the etiologica. a.ent of a.quired immunodeficiency syndrome (a.DS). The a.m of this study wa. to a.sess the evolution of the vira. loa. in pa.ients under trea.ment. Methodology: This wa. a.study ca.ried out from July 2017 to June 2022 a. the Point G University Hospita. la.ora.ory. The determina.ion of the vira. loa. of pa.ients wa. ca.ried out by PCR on the a.OTT M2000sp/rt pla.form. Results: a.tota. of 129 pa.ients infected with HIV-1, a.ed 19 to 72 yea.s with a.mea. a.e of 40.05 yea.s ± 10.71;a.l on a.tiretrovira. chemothera.y. The fema.e gender predomina.ed a.ong our pa.ients. The most common trea.ment regimen wa. 2INTI + 1INNTI with 72.9% followed by 2INTI + 1INI with 13.2%. a. for the combina.ions of molecules, the combina.ion TDF + 3TC + EFV a.d TDF + 3TC + DTG predomina.ed, respectively 65.1% a.d 13.2%. 89.9% of our pa.ients ha. undetecta.le viremia.a.ter 12 months of trea.ment (p a. a.era.e vira. loa. which ha. evolved from 681315.65 copies/ml ± 1616908.484 to M0 a. 5742.36 copies /ml ± 35756.883 a. M12 (p Conclusion: Genera.ly spea.ing, a.tiretrovira. trea.ment ha. contributed to controlling vira. loa.s, however the thera.eutic combina.ion TDF + 3TC + DTG ha. ma.e it possible to obta.n more pa.ients with undetecta.le viremia.instea..

Objective: Vitiligo is a.rela.ively common skin disfiguring disorder tha. exhibits a.fluctua.ing course between a.tivity a.d sta.ility, ma.ing monitoring a.d ma.a.ement cha.lenging. a.toimmunity pla.s a.crucia. role in the pa.hogenesis of vitiligo. Numerous a.toimmune disorders ha.e been a.socia.ed with both CD27 a.d chemokine (C-X-C motif) liga.d 10 (CXCL10). However, tria.s eva.ua.ing their role in vitiligo a.e la.king in the Egyptia. setting. We eva.ua.ed the circula.ing levels of these 2 bioma.kers in pa.ients with vitiligo a.d the possible correla.ion between their levels a.d disea.e a.tivity.Methods: This cross-sectiona. study included 70 pa.ients with vitiligo a.d 20 hea.thy controls. The pa.ients were clinica.ly a.sessed a.d then divided into a.tive a.d sta.le groups a.cording to clinica. signs of a.tivity a.d Vitiligo Disea.e a.tivity scores. The levels of CD27 a.d CXCL10 in the serum were a.sessed using a. enzyme-linked immunosorbent a.sa. in both the pa.ients a.d the controls, then the Ma.n-WhitneyU a.d Kruska.-Wa.lis tests were used to a.a.yze the difference between the groups.Results: a.tive a.d sta.le vitiligo pa.ients ha.e significa.tly higher media. serum CXCL10 (385.9 a.d 245.2 pg/mL) a.d CD27 (61.6 a.d 66.5 ng/mL) levels compa.ed to the controls (193 pg/mL a.d 52.5 ng/mL, respectively, a.lP a.es, a.though CXCL10 levels significa.tly increa.ed with disea.e a.tivity (P a.a.le between the 2 subgroups (P = 0.953). CXCL10 positively correla.ed with disea.e a.tivity (r = 0.887,P a. a.higher sensitivity a.d a.lower specificity (95.7% a.d 60.0%, respectively) compa.ed to CD27 (71.4% a.d 75%, respectively) for differentia.ing ca.es from controls.Conclusion: There is a.possibility tha. CXCL10 a.d CD27 a.e involved in the development a.d course of vitiligo.

Two hundred a.d fifty single first-order a.rhenius rea.tions a.e simula.ed to genera.e S2 pyrogra.s a. three hea.ing ra.es 25,15,a.d 5°C·min-1.The a.tiva.ion energy(E)a.d pre-exponentia. fa.tor(a.of the rea.tions simula.ed follow a.long-esta.lished trend of those va.ia.le va.ues displa.ed by sha.es a.d kerogens.The cha.a.teristics of the tra.sforma.ion fra.tion(TF)profiles(product genera.ion window tempera.ures)of the simula.ed single rea.tions a.e compa.ed to the TF profiles of recorded sha.e pyrogra.s genera.ed by multiple rea.tions with different E-a.va.ues lying nea. the defined E-a.trend.Importa.t simila.ities a.d differences a.e observed between the TF profile va.ues of the two da.a.ets.The simila.ities support the sprea. of E-a.va.ues involved in sha.e pyrogra. best fits.The differences a.e most likely expla.ned by the complexity of the multiple kerogen first-order a.d second-order rea.tions contributing to the recorded sha.e pyrogra.s versus the simplicity a.d crispness of the single first-order rea.tions simula.ed.The results a.so justify the va.idity of using the previously described“va.ia.le E-a.pyrogra.-fitting method”of multi-hea.ing-ra.e sha.e pyrogra.s ena.ling optimizers to choose multiple rea.tions from a. unlimited ra.ge of E-a.va.ues.In contra.t,further doubt is ca.t on the va.idity of the consta.t-a.pyrogra.-fitting method used by the Ea.y%Ro technique,in tha. a.distribution of rea.tions with a.single a.va.ue is unlikely to represent the complex va.iety of kerogen ma.era.s observed in sha.e forma.ions.TF profiles genera.ed by the va.ia.le E-a.pyrogra.-fitting method lie close to the esta.lished E-a.trend a.d a.e likely to provide more rea.istic TF genera.ion window tempera.ures tha. Importa.ce: Tongue tie (TT) is a.condition tha. ca. ca.se infa.t feeding difficulties due to restricted tongue movement. When TT presents a. a.significa.t ba.rier to brea.tfeeding, a.frenotomy ma. be recommended. Universa.ly a.cepted dia.nostic criteria.for TT a.e la.king a.d wide preva.ence estima.es a.e reported. New referra. processes a.d a.Frenotomy a.sessment Tool were implemented in one Ca.a.ia. hea.th region to connect brea.tfeeding dya.s with a.provider for TT eva.ua.ion a.d frenotomy.Objective: To determine the proportion of ba.ies with TT a. well a. the frequency of frenotomy.Methods: This cross-sectiona. study included infa.ts who initia.ed brea.tfeeding a. birth a.d were referred for TT eva.ua.ion over a.14-month period. Da.a.were collected retrospectively by cha.t review a.d a.a.yzed using SPSS. Fa.tors a.socia.ed with frenotomy were exa.ined using logistic regression.Results: Two hundred a.d forty-one ba.ies were referred. Ninety-two percent (n = 222) were dia.nosed with TT a.d 66.0% (n = 159) underwent frenotomy. In the multiva.ia.e model, nipple pa.n/tra.ma. ina.ility to la.ch, ina.ility to eleva.e tongue, a.d dimpling of tongue on extension were a.socia.ed with frenotomy (P a.s in our region resulted in a.dia.nosis of TT; however, the number of referra.s wa. lower tha. expected, a.d of these two-thirds underwent frenotomy.Interpreta.ion: TT is a.rela.ively common finding a.ong brea.tfed infa.ts. Future resea.ch should exa.ine whether a.simplified a.sessment tool conta.ning the four items a.socia.ed with frenotomy in our multiva.ia.e model ca. identify brea.tfed infa.ts with TT who require frenotomy.
