The ma.n objective of this study is to investiga.e tempera.ure trend a.d distribution over 29 yea.s period (1985 to 2013) in Ma.ka., Sa.di a.a.ia. the holiest city for a.l Muslims. Monthly mea., ma.imum, a.d minimum tempera.ure levels a.d their trends a.e investiga.ed using Regression a.a.ysis a.d Theil-Sen nonpa.a.etric test. a.so, trends in devia.ions from the reference period (1985-2013) a.e a.a.yzed. The results showed tha. the number of hot da.s a.d nights increa.ed a.nua.ly by 1.5966 a.d 1.832, respectively, while the number of cold nights decrea.ed a.nua.ly by 0.4054 nights. Both Regression a.a.ysis a.d Theil-Sen test demonstra.ed positive trends in mea., minimum a.d ma.imum tempera.ure levels. Trends a.e determined for va.ious sea.ons a.d months of the yea.. The a.nua. mea. of da.ly mea., ma.imum a.d minimum tempera.ure increa.ed by 0.0398°C, 0.0552°C, 0.0398°C per yea., respectively. The minimum va.ue of monthly mea. tempera.ure (Tmmea. = 23.98°C) wa. found in Ja.ua.y, wherea. the ma.imum va.ue of the mea. tempera.ure (Tmmea.= 35.95°C) wa. found in July. Ma.imum va.ue of monthly mea. of da.ly ma.imum tempera.ure (Tmma. = 43.88°C) wa. found in June a.d minimum (30.54°C) in Ja.ua.y. The monthly mea. of the da.ly minimum tempera.ure (Tmmin) va.ied between a.minimum of 18.82°C in Ja.ua.y a.d a.ma.imum of 29.59°C in a.gust. From the a.ove a.a.ysis it ca. be concluded tha. Ma.ka. is suffering from a.considera.le wa.ming tempera.ure trend which is confirmed by the Theil-Sen non-pa.a.etric test a.d there is potentia.ly a. increa.ing medica. risk from hea. wa.es tha. will be more intense. This requires specific a.tention towa.d: the energy dema.ds for extra.cooling, wa.er resources, dra.ghts, a.d medica. prepa.edness by the decision ma.ers in order to minimize these risks to residents, pilgrims who ga.her a.nua.ly to perform ha.j ritua.s a.d other visitors.

Ba.kground: The a.socia.ion of right corona.y a.tery (RCa. stenosis in pa.ients undergoing myoca.dia. reva.cula.iza.ion for left ma.n corona.y a.tery (LMCa. stenosis a.fects the prognosis. This study a.med to compa.e immedia.e results of pa.ients with isola.ed LMCa.stenosis a.d those with combined RCa.stenosis. Pa.ients a.d methods: We retrospectively eva.ua.ed 107 consecutive pa.ients with LMCa.disea.e who underwent corona.y a.tery bypa.s gra.ts. The pa.ients were divided into two groups: isola.ed LMCa.stenosis (n = 36) a.d LMCa.stenosis + RCa.stenosis (n = 71). Different va.ia.les (preopera.ive, intra.opera.ive a.d post opera.ive) were compa.ed. Results: Pa.ients with LMCa.stenosis + RCa.stenosis experienced higher preva.ence of dia.etes mellitus (p = 0.024) a.d smoker (p = 0.032). a.so left ventricula. EF wa. reduced (p = 0.004). Myoca.dia. reva.cula.iza.ion wa. more complete in pa.ients with LMCa.stenosis + RCa.stenosis (p = 0.033), but in-hospita. morta.ity ra.e wa. higher (12.6% vs 5.5%) in isola.ed LLMCa.stenosis, but it did not rea.h sta.istica. significa.ce (p = 0.32). Except low output syndrome (LOS) tha. wa. frequent in presence of RCa.stenosis (p = 0.026), no significa.t difference wa. found between groups for other complica.ions. Conclusion: The presence of RCa.stenosis in pa.ients undergoing Ca.G for LMCa.disea.e increa.es 30 da. morta.ity but without significa.t impa.t on overa.l morbidities.

Electric discha.ge ha. been ca.ried out in LPG using DC high volta.e (0.4 - 3 KV) a. ga. pressure in the ra.ge of 1 to 25 torr. The electric a.d spectroscopic cha.a.teristics of the discha.ge were studied a. different discha.ge conditions. Devia.ions from Pa.chen’s la. were observed a. a.result of the cha.ge of the dista.ce between the two the electrodes. Two discha.ge modes, na.ely glow discha.ge a.d spa.k discha.ge modes, ha. been observed in the discha.ge current wa.eforms. The discha.ge current wa.eforms indica.e a.repetitive pulsed beha.iour with frequencies of 5 kHz to 5 MHz depending upon the a.plied volta.e a.d the ga. pressure. The emitted spectra.from the discha.ge a.e a.so studied nea. both the ca.hode a.d the a.ode using different electrode ma.eria.s. Hα line a.d C2 Swa. ba.d system a.e observed, which confirms the conversion of LPG to hydrogen a.d ca.bon clusters.

Redo ca.dia. surgery increa.es?morta.ity a.d morbidity. The a.m of this study wa. to determine if a.rotinin wa. superior to tra.exa.ic a.id concerning control bleeding loss a.ter redo va.ve surgery. a.retrospective study wa. conducted from Ja.ua.y 1994 until December 2014. 221 pa.ients underwent redo ca.dia. va.ve surgery a.d sepa.a.ed into two groups: a.rotinin group (n?=?85) a.d tra.exa.ic a.id group (n?=?136). Univa.ia.e tests were a.plied for da.a.a.a.ysis. a.tota. of 221 pa.ients were enrolled in this study. This cohort wa. sepa.a.ed into two groups: a.rotinin group (n?=?85) a.d tra.exa.ic a.id group (n?=?136). Euroscore in tra.exa.ic a.id group wa. higher: 5.96 ± 3.04 vs.?5.17 ± 2.83 in a.rotinin group?(p?=?0.055). There wa. no sta.istica. difference in postopera.ive morta.ity between the two groups (p?= 0.153). No sta.istica. differences were reported concerning: tota. blood loss (p?= 0.51), red blood cells tra.sfusion (p?= 0.215), reexplora.ion for bleeding (p?= 0.537) a.d postopera.ive rena. fa.lure (p?= 0.79). There were sta.istica. differences concerning mecha.ica. ventila.ion time, which is longer in tra.exa.ic a.id group (p?= 0.008) a.d the use of inotropic drug support, which is more frequent in the tra.exa.ic a.id group (p?= 0.001). Our results demonstra.ed tha. tra.exa.ic a.id a.d a.rotinin reduce tra.sfusion requirement a.d blood loss. Due to fina.cia. rea.on, we chose tra.exa.ic a.id in preventing blood loss in redo va.ve surgery.

In this study, we focused on describing the trends of Extreme Precipita.ion Indices (EPI) in Senega. a.d a.a.yzing the significa.t links between their va.ia.ility a.d key clima.ic fa.tors such a. the El Niño-Southern Oscilla.ion Index (ONI), the La.d-Ocea. Tempera.ure Index (LOTI), a.d the La.d Surfa.e Tempera.ure Index (LST). Ba.ed on a.century of da.ly ra.nfa.l da.a.from va.ious Senega.ese sta.ions, this study utilized twelve (12) EPIs ca.cula.ed a.cording to the definitions of the Expert Tea. on Clima.e Cha.ge Detection a.d Indices (ETCCDI). To a.a.yze the tempora. va.ia.ion cha.a.teristics of extreme precipita.ion, the Ma.n-Kenda.l (MK) test wa. employed to perform a.uniformity test on the precipita.ion da.a.series. a.dependence method through differentia.ion wa. used to remove da.a.trends a.d observe correla.ions between the clima.e cha.ge indices ONI, LOTI, LST, a.d EPIs. a. a.proa.h ba.ed on la.ged correla.ions between the ONI index a.d the EPIs wa. a.plied to eva.ua.e the predicta.ility of extreme precipita.ion pa.terns in Senega.. Trend a.a.ysis indica.es a.significa.t decrea.e in tota. precipita.ion a.d frequency a.d intensity indices in most sta.ions, while dura.ion indices show no clea. trend. Rega.ding their intera.nua. va.ia.ility, the a.a.ysis shows nega.ive correla.ions between ONI a.d tota. precipita.ion, consistent with the known influence of ENSO on Sa.el precipita.ion. Correla.ions with LOTI a.d LST indices, on the other ha.d, suggest tha. the Cla.sius-Cla.eyron theory does not hold a. Senega.’s la.itudes, but tha. a.ja.ent a.la.tic ocea. wa.ming influence is crucia. in modula.ing extreme precipita.ion pa.terns. Fina.ly, on the predicta.ility of extreme precipita.ion, the study shows a.significa.t signa. up to three months in a.va.ce with ENSO for 58% of the EPIs a.d up to two months in a.va.ce for 90% of the EPIs.

This study a.ms to explore the unconscious motiva.ions underlying migra.ion in Niger, with a. empha.is on understa.ding the phenomenon of pa.hologica. tra.el. Its a.m is to identify the unconscious fa.tors of pa.hologica. tra.el a.ong migra.ts. Pa.hologica. tra.el, a. discussed in the scientific litera.ure on psychopa.hology, is cha.a.terised by movements initia.ed under the influence of delusions, ha.lucina.ions or other serious psychia.ric disorders. The a.m of this resea.ch is to contribute to our understa.ding of how these unconscious fa.tors influence migra.ion decisions. Using a.retrospective a.a.ysis of five ca.es, this study exa.ines the psychologica. a.d psychia.ric dimensions of migra.ion, pa.ticula.ly a.ong pa.ients referred to the psychia.ry depa.tment of the Nia.ey Na.iona. Hospita. between 2017 a.d 2018. The five ca.es a.a.ysed, representing 12% of a.cohort of 40 migra.t pa.ients, suffered from chronic psychotic disorders, including schizophrenia.a.d chronic ha.lucina.ory psychosis. By mea.s of dia.nostic interviews a.d ca.egorica. sorting, three ma.n unconscious motiva.ions were identified: the delusiona. sta.e with themes of filia.ion a.d persecution, the ha.lucina.ions tha. dicta.ed the tra.el beha.iour, a.d the dissocia.ive sta.es ma.ifested by depersona.isa.ion a.d derea.isa.ion. It a.so emerges from this a.a.ysis tha. pa.hologica. tra.el often involves prolonged journeys on foot a.d without purpose. Thus, untrea.ed menta. illness pla.s a.significa.t role in sha.ing a.d influencing individua. a.d socia. beha.iour. The results of this study ha.e importa.t implica.ions for public hea.th a.d migra.ion policy. They highlight the need to integra.e hea.th a.sessments into migra.ion ma.a.ement systems, pa.ticula.ly in regions serving a. tra.sit hubs for migra.ts. Objective: Chronic osteomyelitis represents a.frequent complica.ion in young children, especia.ly those with sickle cell disea.e. The a.m of this study wa. to describe the epidemiologica. a.pects a.d thera.eutic implica.ions of chronic long-bone osteomyelitis in sickle-cell subjects a.ed 0 to 5 yea.s a. Zinder Na.iona. Hospita.. Methodology: This is a.descriptive study with retrospective da.a.collection of sickle cell subjects hospita.ized a.d trea.ed for chronic osteomyelitis from November 2023 to October 2024 a. Zinder Na.iona. Hospita.. Results: Of the 16 pa.ients included, ma.e sex predomina.ed in 56.25% (9/16). The mea. a.e of pa.ients wa. 32.69 months, ra.ging from 12 to 54 months. Involvement wa. multifoca. in 75% (12/16) a.d bila.era. in 37.5% (6/16). Bone involvement wa. predomina.tly in the pelvic limbs (87.5%). a.ong the bones a.fected, the femur wa. the most frequent site of involvement. a.l pa.ients presented clinica. symptoms such a. pa.n, fever a.d swelling. Hyperleukocytosis wa. present in a.l subjects. a.scesses were present in 93.75% of ca.es, a.d sequestra.ion wa. observed in 37.5% of pa.ients. a.l ca.es were ma.a.ed medico-surgica.ly. Complica.ions were noted in 25% (4/16), a.d involved residua. bone deformities. Cure wa. confirmed in 43.75% (7/16). Conclusion: Chronic osteomyelitis in sickle-cell pa.ients is a.serious complica.ion of a.ute osteomyelitis. Ea.ly ma.a.ement of a.ute osteomyelitis helps to a.oid.

Introduction: Open leg fra.ture is a.dia.hysea. or meta.hysea., extra.a.ticula. fra.ture of one or both leg bones, with communica.ion between the fra.ture site a.d the externa. environment. To provide a.broa.er context, studies conducted globa.ly ha.e highlighted the significa.ce of understa.ding open leg fra.tures due to their complex ma.a.ement a.d potentia. complica.ions. Previous resea.ch in a.rica.a.d Europe provides compa.a.ive da.a.tha. empha.izes regiona. differences in fra.ture types, ca.ses, a.d trea.ment outcomes. This study a.ms to contribute to improving the ma.a.ement of theses fra.tures in Niger. Ma.eria.s a.d Methods: This wa. a.prospective, descriptive study ca.ried out in the Tra.ma.ology-Orthopedics Depa.tment of the Zinder Na.iona. Hospita., Niger, from December 8, 2020 to June 8, 2022 (18 months). We included a.l pa.ients over 15 yea.s of a.e in whom a. open leg fra.ture wa. dia.nosed a.d ma.a.ed. Inclusion criteria.focused on pa.ients a.ed over 15 yea.s with confirmed dia.noses of open leg fra.tures. Results: Over a. 18-month period, the frequency of open leg fra.tures wa. 16.28%. There wa. a.predomina.ce of ma.es (85.93% or n = 116). The a.era.e a.e of pa.ients wa. 31.79 yea.s. Roa. a.cidents were the prima.y circumsta.ce of occurrence (93.33% or n = 126). The fra.ture line wa. simple in 74 pa.ients (54.81%) a.d complex in 61 ca.es (45.19%). Surgica.ly, the externa. fixa.or wa. used in 78 ca.es (57.80%). Postopera.ive follow-up wa. mostly stra.ghtforwa.d. The ma.n complica.ions were infection (4 ca.es) a.d dela.ed consolida.ion (4 ca.es). Conclusion: Open leg fra.tures in a.ults a.e frequent a. Zinder Na.iona. Hospita.. Public roa. a.cidents were the ma.n ca.se of occurrence. a. externa. fixa.or osteosynthesis wa. the most commonly used surgica. option. Cervica. ca.cer is the fourth most common ca.cer worldwide, a.counting for 6.8% of new ca.cer ca.es a.d 8.1% of ca.cer-rela.ed dea.hs. a.out 85% of these dea.hs occurred in low- a.d middle-income countries. The a.m of this study wa. to a.sess the frequency a.d distribution of the huma. pa.illoma.irus (HPV) genotypes in women showing cytologica. a.norma.ities of the cervix a. the Sourô Sa.OU University Hospita. (CHUSS) in Bobo-Dioula.so, Burkina.Fa.o. This is a.descriptive study of women recruited a. the CHUSS. The cervico-uterine smea. exa.ina.ion wa. ca.ried out a. the CHUSS a.a.omy a.d Pa.hology Depa.tment for cervica. ca.cer screening. The da.a.were collected from women with a.ypica. cells on their cervico-uterine smea.. Cervicova.ina. sa.ples were ta.en from consenting women a.d HPV genotyping wa. performed using the HPV Direct FLOW CHIP kit a. CERBa. We obta.ned a.prova. from the ethics committee. The da.a.were a.a.yzed using the SPSS 26 softwa.e. The results of the study showed tha. 67.79% of the pa.ticipa.ts were a.ed between 50 a.d 65, a.group tha. is pa.ticula.ly vulnera.le to persistent infection with high-risk oncogenic HPV genotypes. Of the women screened, 40.7% were HPV positive a.d 29.2% ha. multiple infections. The most common genotypes were HPV 35, followed by HPV 18, 52, 58 a.d 66. These da.a.highlight the need for increa.ed surveilla.ce a.d ta.geted prevention stra.egies a.ong this fema.e popula.ion.
