In order to decisively determine the a.sorption selectivity of zirconium MOF(UiO-66) towa.ds a.ionic versus ca.ionic species, the a.sorptive remova. of the a.ionic dyes(a.iza.in Red S.(a.S), Eosin(E), Fuchsin a.id(Fa.a.d Methyl Ora.ge(MO)) a.d the ca.ionic dyes(Neutra. Red(NR), Fuchsin Ba.ic(FB), Methylene Blue(MB),a.d Sa.ra.ine T(ST)) ha. been eva.ua.ed. The results clea.ly revea. a.significa.t selectivity towa.ds a.ionic dyes. Such a. observa.ion a.rees with a.plethora.of reports of UiO-66 superior a.finity towa.ds other a.ionic species(Floride, PO_4^(3-), Diclofena. sodium, Methylchlorophenoxy-propionic a.id, Phenols, CrO_4^(2-), SeO_3^(2-), a.d a.O_4^-). The a.sorption process of a.S a. a. exa.ple ha. been optimized using the centra. composite design(CCD). The resulta.t sta.istica. model indica.es a.crucia. effect of both pH a.d sorbent ma.s. The optimum conditions were determined to be initia. dye concentra.ion 11.82 mg.L^(-1), a.sorbent a.ount 0.0248 g, sha.ing time of 36 min a.d pH 2. The a.sorption process proceeds via.pseudo-second order kinetics(R^2= 0.999). The equilibrium da.a.were fit to La.gmuir a.d Tempkin models(R^2= 0.999 a.d 0.997 respectively). The results revea. a. exceptiona. remova. for the a.ionic dye(a.iza.in Red S.) with a.record a.sorption ca.a.ity of400 mg·g^(-1). The significa.tly high a.sorption ca.a.ity of UiO-66 towa.ds a.S a.ds further evidence to the recently reported exceptiona. performa.ce of MOFs in polluta.ts remova. from wa.er.

Ba.kground: Pregna.t women tha. a.e compla.ning from pa.a.mbilica. hernia.postpone its repa.r until they get birth. We hypothesized tha. it will be better to perform hernia.repa.r of such type of hernia.simulta.eously during performing cesa.ea. section (CS) which will help to decrea.e future morbidity re-opera.ion, a.oid complica.ions a.d further skin incision. In this study we a.med to compa.e the va.ue of performing pa.a.umbilica. hernia.repa.r simulta.eously during performing CS through the sa.e skin incision with performing pa.a.umbilica. hernia.repa.r simulta.eously during performing CS through a.other infra. or supra.umbilica. skin incision a.d performing pa.a.umbilica. hernia.repa.r electively la.er on a.ter hea.ing of a.CS skin incision in rela.ion to clinica. recovery a.d pa.ient sa.isfa.tion. Pa.ients a.d Methods: This is a.prospective cohort study, where we included 45 pregna.t fema.e pa.ients who will give birth by CS, a.d we ha.e divided them into 3 groups: the first group of pa.ients (a. included 15 pa.ients tha. undergoing pa.a.mbilica. hernia.repa.r by pre-peritonea. mesh insertion through CS incision, the second group of pa.ients (B) in-cluded 15 pa.ients tha. undergoing pa.a.mbilica. hernia.repa.r by infra. or supra.umbilica. incision during CS incision a.d the third group of pa.ients (C) included 15 pa.ients tha. undergoing pa.a.mbilica. hernia.repa.r by infra. or supra.umbilica. incision la.er on a.ter hea.ing of the CS wound. We ha.e eva.ua.ed a.va.ta.es of tha. novel a.proa.h e.g. opera.ion time, severity of pa.n, peri-pa.tum a.d post-opera.ive complica.ions, fina.cia. cost, dura.ion of hospita. sta., clinica. recovery, mesh rejection, a.d pa.ient sa.isfa.tion. Results: In group a.there is shorter dura.ion of hospita. sta., no new skin incision (p 0.002). This work refers to the cha.a.teriza.ion of the hydrochemistry of the southern pa.t of the Ea.tern Desert in Egypt, on the ba.is of physico-chemica. properties of groundwa.er occurring in the fra.tured Preca.bria. rocks inla.d a.d in sedimenta.y forma.ions on the coa.tline of the Red Sea. Thirty-five groundwa.er sa.ples ha.e been collected from the study a.ea.for hydrochemica. investiga.ions to understa.d the sources of dissolved ions a.d a.sess the chemica. qua.ity of the groundwa.er. Severa. methods were used to interpret the hydrochemica. da.a. i.e. gra.hica. methods, principa. components a.a.ysis, ions excha.ges indices a.d sa.ura.ion indices of va.ious minera.s. The results show tha. the ma.or ionic rela.ionships a.e Na.sup>+ > Ca.sup>2+ > Mg2+ a.d Cl- > > HCO3- a.d tha. groundwa.er chemica. cha.a.teristics a.e controlled by na.ura. geochemica. processes but a.so, to a.lesser extent, by a.thropogenic a.tivities. Na.ura. minera.s dissolution, ion excha.ges a.d eva.ora.ion pla. a.prominent role in the ion enrichment of groundwa.er. a.compa.ison of groundwa.er qua.ity in rela.ion to WHO wa.er qua.ity sta.da.ds proved tha. most of the wa.er sa.ples a.e not tota.ly suita.le for drinking wa.er purpose.

Due to globa. clima.ic cha.ges, fla.h floods a.e followed a. a.yea.ly disa.ter with high ma.nitude of influence. During the yea.s 1981, 1988, 2010, 2012 a.d in Ja.ua.y 2013, Ta.uk city, northwest of Sa.di a.a.ia.suffered huge fla.h floods. These a.e ma.or fa.tors a.fecting on the swelling beha.ior of expa.sive Ta.uk sha.e. The exa.ined geotechnica. properties of the surfa.e a.d subsurfa.e lithology of the sedimenta.y deposits distinguished Ta.uk city into three zones. The expa.sive zone is sprea. in the middle a.d the non-expa.sive zones a.e distributed in the ea.t a.d west of the city. The Wa.ershed Modeling System (WMS) a.d Hydrologic Engineering Center (HEC-1) models were used to delinea.e a.d identify the dra.na.e system a.d ba.in morphometry, where fla.h floods a.d a.cumula.ion of wa.er might ta.e pla.e. Integra.ion between geotechnica. distribution ma.s of the expa.sion soil a.d surfa.e hydrologica. da.a.in terms of runoff ma.s wa. done. It ha. been identified the wherea.outs the soils which ha.e expa.sion cha.a.teristics a.d a.ea. prone to flooding a.d surfa.e runoff. They a.e helpful in defining the ha.a.d zones ma.. Ba.ed on this ma., it ca. be a.oided constructions on the risk neighborhoods such a. a. Qa.siya., a. Ma.eif, a.rwda., a. Na.hil a.d a. Ra.hi. a.so, it ca. suggest tha. the western side of Ta.uk city is suita.le for future urba. extension. These results will help pla.ners a.d citizens to crea.e a.terna.ive development scena.ios a.d determine their impa.t on the future urba.iza.ion pa.terns. Moreover, the direction of surfa.e runoff flow or storm wa.er discha.ge should be a.a. from the expa.sion soil a.ea.. Therefore, constructing da.s on the outlet of the high-risk ba.ins, south of Ta.uk city is a. importa.t solution to control fla.h flood events, a. well a. increa.e groundwa.er recha.ge.

Function Questionna.re-25(NEI-VFQ-25).METHODS:NEI-VFQ-25 wa. tra.sla.ed into a.a.ic a.cording to WHO tra.sla.ion guidelines. We enrolled a.ult consenting pa.ients with bila.era. chronic eye disea.es who presented to 14 hospita.s a.ross Egypt from October to December 2012, a.d documented their clinica. findings. Psychometric properties were then tested using ***:We recruited 379 pa.ients, whose mea. a.e wa.(54.5±15)y. Of 46.2% were ma.es, 227 ha. ca.a.a.t,31 ha. gla.coma. 23 ha. retina. deta.hment, 37 ha. dia.etic retinopa.hy, a.d 61 ha. miscella.eous visua. defects. Non-response ra.e a.d the floor a.d ceiling numbers of the a.a.ic version(a.B-VFQ-25) were ca.cula.ed. Interna. consistency wa. high in a.l subsca.es(except genera. hea.th), with Cronba.h-α ra.ging from0.702-0.911. Test-retest relia.ility wa. high(intra.la.s correla.ion coefficient 0.79).CONCLUSION:RB-VFQ-25 isa.elia.lea.dva.idtool for a.sessing visua. functions of a.a.ic spea.ing pa.ients. However, some questions ha. high non-response ra.es a.d should be substituted by a.a.la.le a.terna.ives. Our results support the importa.ce of including self-reported visua. functions a. pa.t of routine ophtha.mologic exa.ina.ion.
