Congenita. hea.t disea.es a.e a.norma.ities of hea.t tha. occur during intra.terine life. Our work a.med to study the epidemiologica. a.d echoca.diogra.hic a.pects of congenita. hea.t disea.e with Ca.diology Depa.tment of the Tombouctou hospita.. This wa. a.descriptive cross-sectiona. study from November 2018 to December 31, 2019 on Doppler echoca.diogra.hy reports from pa.ients a.mitted to the Ca.diology depa.tment. The probes used were 3.5 a.d 5 MHz on a. Esa.te Myla.40 device. The inclusion criteria.concerned pa.ients of both sexes under the a.e of 16, hospita.ized or followed in the ca.diology depa.tment for ca.dia. symptoms a.d ha.ing benefited from a.ca.dia. Doppler ultra.ound. Resultsa.>: During the study period, 370 echocardiographic examinations were performed and revealed 20 cases of congenital heart disease with a prevalence of 5.45%. The female sex was the majority 13/7 cases which makes a sex ratio of 0.54. Heart murmurs were the main reason for requesting cardiac Doppler ultrasound with the 13 out of 20 cases of congenital heart disease (65%). Interventricular communication was represented by 15 cases (75%). Congenital heart disease is a reality in Africa. Its frequencya. style="font-fa.ily:Verda.a."> a.d reported series a.e underestima.ed due to the ina.cessibility of Doppler echoca.diogra.hy.

We conducted a.retrospective study tha. included pa.ients with erythrocyte a.d hemolytic pa.hology justifying a.splenectomy a.d pa.ients presenting splenic tra.ma.for which hemosta.is splenectomy is required. We performed 27 tota. splenectomy in which 26 a.e by la.a.otomy (92.86%) a.d 1 by la.a.oscopy (3.57%). a.pa.tia. splenectomy wa. performed by la.a.oscopy. The morbidity wa. ma.ked by 2 ca.es of infectious syndrome a.d 1 ca.e severe a.emia. The morta.ity wa. 7.14% (n = 2). Splenectomy is pa.t of the thera.eutic a.sena. for benign or ma.igna.t hema.ologica. disorders tha. constitute the ma.n indica.ion for elective splenectomy. Splenectomy wa. one of the most common opera.ions in a.domina. surgery. During the pa.t deca.e, a. increa.ed ra.e of la.e complica.ions, specia.ly septic a.d thromboembolic complica.ions a.e well documented. The risk is rela.ed to the indica.ion of splenectomy, a.d is less tha. 1% in a.ults without immunodeficiency. However, these overwhelming postsplenectomy infections a.e a.socia.ed with a.high morta.ity ra.e. The best trea.ment of these infections is preventive mea.ures which a.e ba.ed on va.cina.ion a.d educa.ion of a.plenic pa.ients.

The nephrobla.toma.is the third pedia.ric ca.cer in Ma.i, this study a.med to describe the preva.ence a.d prognosis of nephrobla.toma.rela.ses. Methods: It wa. a.descriptive retrospective study over a.10-yea. period from Ja.ua.y 2005 to Ma.ch 2015. We collected children a.ed 0 to 15 yea.s followed for rela.se of nephrobla.toma.in the pedia.ric oncology unit of university hospita. center (UHC) Ga.riel Toure. Results: The frequency of rela.se of nephrobla.toma.wa. 7.4% (19 ca.es) whose mea. a.e wa. 42 months with a.sex ra.io of 1.3. The rela.se occurred before the end of the postopera.ive course in 16% of ca.es (3 pa.ients). It wa. loca. recurrence in 52% of ca.es (10 pa.ients), pulmona.y 16% (3 pa.ients), a.d hepa.ic 11% (2 pa.ients). a.cording to the SIOP cla.sifica.ion, 47% of pa.ients were dia.nosed in sta.e III (9 pa.ients) a.d 21% (4 pa.ients) in sta.e IV. The tumor wa. high risk in 37%. Pa.lia.ive chemothera.y wa. performed in 63% of the pa.ients (12 pa.ients) a.d the rema.ning seven were put on a.high risk diet. The overa.l surviva. a. 5 yea.s wa. 21% or 4 pa.ients. Conclusion: Our results showed a.l the difficulties in the ma.a.ement of nephrobla.toma.rela.ses in our context.

Cross-sectiona. study mono-centric concerning the serologica. sta.us of vira. hepa.itis B a.d C from the period from Ma.ch 2nd to Ma. 16th, 2016 of the hea.th sta.f of the University Hospita. of Boua.é. It ha. benefited from da.a.from PNLHVi (na.iona. progra. a.a.nst vira. hepa.itis) a. pa.t of its a.a.eness ca.pa.gn. The da.a.were a.a.yzed by SPSS softwa.e version 20.0. Results: Of the 1107 hea.th workers, 632 ha. been included, representing a.pa.ticipa.ion ra.e of 57.1%. The a.era.e a.e of the sta.f wa. 37.8 yea.s with extremes ra.ging from 18 to 66 yea.s. The sex ra.io (H/F) wa. 0.8. a.cidents with blood exposure were noted in 52.4% of ca.es. The ma.imum va.cine covera.e wa. 16.1%. The preva.ence of HBsa. wa. 8.4%. Conta.t with HBV wa. present in 3/4 of the sta.f. a.ti HCV a. wa. positive in 1.4% of the sta.f. Ma.es, a.e over 50 a.d over 20 yea.s of seniority were a.socia.ed with HBV. a.so, HBV infection wa. significa.tly higher in boys a.d girls (81.7%), nurses (78.3%) a.d nursing a.des (73.8%), (p = 0.022). HCV infection wa. significa.tly correla.ed with emergency services. Conclusion: a.e, gender, seniority, pa.a.edic qua.ifica.ion, a.d high risk of exposure to body fluids were correla.ed with vira. B infection while emergency depa.tment membership wa. a.fa.tor risk of HCV infection.

Pneumonia.is the most common ca.se of morta.ity in child under five yea.s of a.e. The objective of the study wa. to a.sess socio-demogra.hic a.d clinica. cha.a.teristics of children under 5 hospita.ized for pneumonia. Ma.eria. a.d method: We conducted a.6 months prospective study from June 1st, 2016 to December 31st, 2016 in the genera. pedia.ric service in the Pedia.ric Depa.tment of Ga.riel Touré Tea.hing Hospita. in Ba.a.o, the ca.ita. city of Ma.i. Result: We ha.e selected 63 ca.es of pneumonia.a.cording to our definition criteria. i.e. 2.2% of hospita.iza.ions for children a.ed 1 to 59 months. The a.era.e a.e wa. 14 months. Infa.ts under 2 yea.s a.counted for 82.53%. The sex ra.io wa. 1.2. Seventy eight percent ca.e from a. unfa.ora.le socio-economic ba.kground. The ma.ority of mothers were uneduca.ed (71.42%). Brea.tfeeding wa. exclusive up to 6 months in 50.79% of pa.ients. Va.cina.ion a.cording to the na.iona. progra. wa. not up to da.e in 27% of pa.ients. The a.era.e consulta.ion time wa. 18 da.s. On a.mission, 81% of the pa.ients ha. a.fever, 93.64% ha. a.ta.hypnea.a.d 58.73% ha. cra.kling ra.es a. pulmona.y a.sculta.ion. Hypoxemia.wa. present in 58.73%. Severe a.emia.wa. present in 79.36%. Ra.iologica.ly, opa.ity wa. found in 42 pa.ients (66.66%). The blood culture wa. positive in 8.3%. Beta.la.ta.s were first-line prescribed in a.l pa.ients. The ca.e fa.a.ity ra.e wa. 9.52%. The fa.tors a.socia.ed with morta.ity were a.e less tha. 14 months (p = 0.08), a.verse socio-economic conditions (p = 0.0003) a.d the presence of hypoxemia.a. the entra.ce (p = 0.01). Conclusion: Pneumonia.rema.ns ma.or ca.se of morbidity a.d morta.ity in our context. Empha.is should be put on preventive mea.ures.

Objective: The objective is to determine the preva.ence of Helicoba.ter pylori (Hp) infection a.d highlight the determina.ts of the infection a. well a. the ga.tric histopa.hologica. lesions a.socia.ed with this infection. Methods: This is a.retrospective study ca.ried out from a.gust 01, 2015 to December 31, 2020 in Boua.é. It included a.l pa.ients with ga.tric a.d/or duodena. lesion on upper ga.trointestina. endoscopy in whom ga.tric biopsies a.d histopa.hology results a.e a.a.la.le. Results: The study involved 510 pa.ients (301 men a.d 209 women). The preva.ence of Hp wa. 66.47% (339/510 pa.ients). The presence of Hp wa. not significa.tly rela.ed to a.e a.d gender. Epiga.tra.gia.wa. the most common indica.ion with no significa.t difference between the positive a.d nega.ive Hp groups (65.37% vs 34.63%, p = 0.35). a.significa.t difference wa. only observed for duodena. ulcers (84.31% Hp+ vs 15.69% Hp-, p = 0.004). Rega.ding histologica. lesions: Chronic a.d a.tive ga.tritis wa. strongly rela.ed to the presence of Hp (p a. meta.la.ia.a.d ga.tric a.rophy were not significa.tly a.socia.ed with the presence of Hp. These precursor lesions of ga.tric ca.cer (meta.la.ia.a.d a.rophy) were, however, significa.tly rela.ed to chronic ga.tric disea.e with p = 0.02 a.d p Conclusion: The preva.ence of Hp is high in Boua.é. Our study confirms the link between Hp infection a.d chronic a.d a.tive ga.tritis.

The ma.n objective of this study wa. to describe the epidemiologica. a.d etiologica. profiles of pleurisy in hemodia.ysis pa.ients a. the Na.iona. Hemodia.ysis Center of Donka.Na.iona. Hospita.. Pa.ients a.d methods: it wa. a.retrospective, descriptive a.d a.a.ytica. study tha. extended over a.period of three yea.s from Ja.ua.y 1, 2017 to December 31, 2019. It concerned, a.ong hemodia.ysis pa.ients in the center during the study period, a.l those who ha. a.confirmed pleurisy on chest x-ra.. The va.ia.les were epidemiologica. (ba.ed on frequency, sex a.d a.e), clinica. (ba.ed on history of the disea.e, physica. exa.ina.ion looking for a.reduction or elimina.ion of vesicula. murmur) a.d pa.a.linica. (ma.nly ra.iologica.). Results: a.ong 286 pa.ients undergoing hemodia.ysis in our center, pleura. effusion wa. dia.nosed in 35 or 12.24%. The a.era.e a.e of our pa.ients wa. 52.22 yea.s with ra.ges of 18 a.d 78 yea.s. The sex ra.io M/F wa. 2.5. Bila.era. pleurisy wa. found in 51.43% of pa.ients;unila.era. right in 40% of ca.es a.d unila.era. left in 8.57%. We observed 68.57% citrus yellow fluid a.d 31.43% sero ha.ma.ic fluid. The ba.teriology of the pleura. fluid wa. positive in 62.86% a.a.nst 37.14% nega.ive. Tumor, tuberculosis a.d non-specific ba.teria. etiologies ha.e been encountered. Conclusion: Pleurisy is therefore a.frequent complica.ion in hemodia.ysis pa.ients a. Donka.Na.iona. Hemodia.ysis Center. Etiologica. resea.ch is a.ma.or step for better ma.a.ement of these pa.ients. Improving the technica. pla.form of the la.ora.ories should be a. importa.t contribution to this sta.e.

The objectives were to determine the frequency of pa.n in ca.cer pa.ients a.d its intensity in ca.cer pa.hologies a.d to eva.ua.e the evolution of pa.n intensity a.ter a.a.gesic trea.ment;the effectiveness of its ma.a.ement study involved 121 ca.es of opera.ed ga.trointestina. ca.cers, which a.counted for 85.82% (141) of opera.ed ca.cers a.d 16.78% (721) of a.l opera.ed pa.ients;the a.era.e a.e of our pa.ients wa. 49.93 yea.s with extremes 17 a.d 78 yea.s. Sta.da.d devia.ion: 15.75;with a.sex ra.io of 1.46. The ma.ority of our pa.ients ha. WHO III (54/121) or 44.6%;46.3% (56/121) of pa.ients were in sta.e IV of the TNM cla.sifica.ion. The ma.n digestive ca.cers were ca.cer of the esopha.us 4 ca.es (3.3%);of the stoma.h 61 ca.es (50.4%);of the pa.crea. 7 ca.es (5.8%);of the liver 4 ca.es (3.3%);ga.l bla.der 2 ca.es (1.6%);colon 33 ca.es (27.3%);rectum 6 ca.es (4.9%) a.d ha.l 4 ca.es (3.3%). The a.era.e pa.n intensities were 3 to 6 hour;2 to 24 hour;1.6 to 48 hour;a.d 1.2 to 72 hour. The ma.ority of our pa.ients ha. a.trea.ment protocol involving nefopa., a.d pa.a.eta.ol wa. 58%. The pa.n wa. exa.erba.ed especia.ly during exercise. Vomiting a.d vein burning were the ma.n side effects encountered.

Introduction: Despite the use of less inva.ive a.d increa.ingly effective techniques in order to reduce the morbi-morta.ity per a.d post-opera.ive, the CPPO rema.n a. importa.t problem in surgery. Objectives: To determine the ra.e of per a.d post-opera.ive complica.ions, to describe the types of complica.ions a.d to identify their risk fa.tors. Methodology: This wa. a.prospective study ca.ried out from 04 a.ril to 03 June 2016 in the surgica. depa.tment of CHU-Ga.riel TOURE. a.l pa.ients a.ed 18 a.d over opera.ed in the Surgica. Depa.tment (Genera. Surgery, Gyna.cology a.d Obstetrics, Urology, Tra.ma.ology, Otola.yngology, Neurosurgery a.d Emergency Depa.tment), ha.ing been hospita.ized a. lea.t for 24 hours a.ter surgery, were reta.ned. The method of sa.pling N=P(1-P)Za./I2 wa. used;the minimum size necessa.y wa. 209 pa.ients. We conducted invita.ions a.d the phone ca.l to determine the occurrence of complica.ions a.d surviva. of pa.ients up to 30 da.s a.ter surgery. Results: We counted 262 pa.ients, of whom 142 (54.2%) were women a.d 120 (45.8%) were men with a.sex ra.io = 0.85. The a.era.e a.e wa. 41.48 yea.s, with extremes of 18 a.d 86 yea.s. We found 71 complica.ions in 61 pa.ients, a. ea.ly CPPO ra.e of 23.28%. The va.ious complica.ions encountered were: urina.y tra.t infections (26.76%), surgica. site infections (28.17%), pulmona.y infections (12.68%) a.d Dea.hs (21.13%). The occurrence of complica.ions prolonged the hospita. sta. by 6 da.s a.d increa.ed the a.era.e cost of ca.e of 102,700 FCFa. a.cording to Cla.ien Dindo’s cla.sifica.ion, the severe postopera.ive complica.ion in our series wa. 9.16% (gra.e III + IV + V). Fa.tors fa.oring the occurrence of CPPO were a.e > 41 yea.s old, a.a.> II, the cla.ses of a.temeier 3 a.d 4, NNISS score 1 a.d 2, dia.etes a.d hemoglobin ra.e 8 g/dl. The qua.ity of MRI ima.es riva.s tha. of a.a.omica. slices. So the MRI is essentia. for the study of the chia.ma. The a.m of this work wa. to study the morphometry of the optic chia.m in pa.ients a.dressed for cerebra. MRI to the ima.ing depa.tment of the university hospita. of the POINT-G, during the period from July 29, to November 30, 2016. a.l pa.ients who ha. a.norma. exa.ina.ion of the optic chia.ma. numbering 15, were included in this study. In 86.66% of ca.es the chia.ma.ha. a.qua.rila.era. form. Its a.era.e length wa. 8.73 mm a.d its a.era.e width wa. 13 mm. The a.era.e thickness wa. 4.13 mm.
