Monte Carlo study of B-cell receptor clustering mediated by antigen crosslinking and directed transport

It is known from experiments that in the presence of soluble antigen,B-cell receptors(BCRs)assemble into microclusters and then collect into a macrocluster known as a‘cap’.However,the mechanisms of BCR cluster formation during recognition of soluble antigens remain *** previous work,we demonstrated that effective intrinsic attractions among BCRs can lead to the formation of small microclusters of BCR *** effective intrinsic attractions could be caused by multivalent antigen binding,association with lipid rafts,or other biochemical *** the present study,we have developed and studied a Monte Carlo model of BCR clustering mediated by explicit binding and crosslinking of soluble bivalent *** crosslinking is shown to microcluster BCRs in an affinity-dependent manner and also in a biologically relevant timescale;however,antigen crosslinking alone does not appear to be sufficient for the formation of a single macrocluster of receptor *** show that directed transport of BCRs is needed to drive the formation of large *** constructed a simple model of directed transport,where BCR molecules diffuse towards the largest cluster or towards a random BCR microcluster,which results in a single macrocluster of receptor *** mechanisms for both types of directed transport are compared using network-based *** also develop and use appropriate network measures to analyze the effect of BCR and antigen concentration on BCR clustering,the stability of the formed clusters over time and the size of BCR–antigen crosslinked chains.

Birds are a huge hazard to agriculture all around the world,causing harm to profitable field *** use a variety of techniques to keep them away,including visual,auditory,tactile,and olfactory deterrents. This study presents a comprehensive overview of current bird repellant approaches used in agricultural contexts,as well as potential new ways. The bird repellent techniques include Internet of Things technology,Deep Learning,Convolutional Neural Network,Unmanned Aerial Vehicles,Wireless Sensor Networks and Laser biotechnology. This study’s goal is to find and review about previous approach towards repellent of birds in the crop fields using various technologies.

Oligomer saccharide reduction during dilute acid pretreatment co-catalyzed with Lewis acids on corn stover biomass

The dilute sulfuric acid pretreatment of lignocellulosic biomass is a well understood process that significantly enhances the yield of glucose after enzymatic *** goal of this research was to perform a systematic study to evaluate the yield of fermentable sugars during dilute sulfuric acid pretreatment that is co-catalyzed with the transition metal Lewis acid salts:AlCl_(3),FeCl_(2),FeCl_(3),and La(OTf)_(3).All Lewis acids apart from FeCl_(2)reduced the presence of xylo-oligomers by a large margin when compared to the non-co-catalyzed control sample *** presence of these xylo-oligomers acts as inhibitors during enzymatic saccaharification *** Lewis acids AlCl_(3),FeCl_(3),and La(OTf)_(3)were also able to marginally increase the overall enzymatic digestibility specifically for corn stover pretreated at 160℃with 10 mM of Lewis *** hard Lewis acid such as AlCl3 increased the formation inhibitory products such as furfural and 5-hydroxymethylfurfural(HMF).There was good correlation between reduction of xylo-oligomers and increased concentration furfural with increase in Lewis acid hardness.

Kinetic features of xylan de-polymerization in production of xylose monomer and furfural during acid pretreatment for kenaf,forage sorghums and sunn hemp feedstocks

A kinetic study of acid pretreatment was conducted for sorghum non-brown mid rib(SNBMR)(Sorghum bicolor L Moench),sorghum-brown mid rib(SBMR),sunn hemp(Crotalaria juncea L)and kenaf(Gossypiumhirsutum L),focusing on rates of xylose monomer and furfural *** kinetics was investigated using two independent variables,reaction temperature(150°C and 160°C)and acid concentration(1 and 2 wt%),with a constant dry biomass loading of 10 wt%and a treatment time up to 20 min while sampling the mixture every 2 *** experimental data were fitted using a two-step kinetic model based on irreversible pseudo first order kinetics at each *** kinetic orders on the acid concentration,ranging from 0.2 to>3,were observed for both xylose and furfural formation,the values depending on the *** crystallinity index of raw biomass was shown to be a major factor influencing the rate of both xylose and furfural formation.A positive correlation was observed between the activation energy and biomass crystallinity index for xylose formation.

Entropy generation analysis of tangent hyperbolic fluid in quadratic Boussinesq approximation using spectral quasi-linearization method

Effect of hole-transporting materials on the photovoltaic performance and stability of all-ambient-processed perovskite solar cells

High-efficiency perovskite solar cells（PSCs） reported hitherto have been mostly prepared in a moisture and oxygen-free glove-box atmosphere, which hampers upscaling and real-time performance assessment of this exciting photovoltaic technology. In this work, we have systematically studied the feasibility of allambient-processing of PSCs and evaluated their photovoltaic performance. It has been shown that phasepure crystalline tetragonal MAPbI;perovskite films are instantly formed in ambient air at room temperature by a two-step spin coating process, undermining the need for dry atmosphere and ***-ambient-processed PSCs with a configuration of FTO/TiO;/MAPbI;/Spiro-OMeTAD/Au achieve opencircuit voltage（990 mV） and short-circuit current density（20.31 mA/cm;） comparable to those of best reported glove-box processed devices. Nevertheless, device power conversion efficiency is still constrained at 5% by the unusually low fill-factor of 0.25. Dark current–voltage characteristics reveal poor conductivity of hole-transporting layer caused by lack of oxidized spiro-OMe TAD species, resulting in high seriesresistance and decreased fill-factor. The study also establishes that the above limitations can be readily overcome by employing an inorganic p-type semiconductor, copper thiocyanate, as ambient-processable hole-transporting layer to yield a fill-factor of 0.54 and a power conversion efficiency of 7.19%. The present findings can have important implications in industrially viable fabrication of large-area PSCs.

Biliary cast syndrome:literature review and a single centre experience in liver transplant recipients

BACKGROUND:Biliary cast syndrome(BCS)is an unusual complication of orthotopic liver transplantation (OLTx),and its management is *** success using endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP)or open exploration to clear casts has been reported, but failure usually results in *** aimed to review our experience with BCS and highlight a novel combined percutaneous and endoscopic approach for duct clearance.A brief review of the literature is given. Extraction,separation and refining of microcrystalline cellulose from wheat straw using various pretreatments

Photonic Crystal Based Direct and Inverse Heterostructures by Colloidal Self-Assembly

Photonic crystal heterostructures containing two materials and/or two lattice constants are synthesized using the colloids of polystyrene and polymethyl methacrylate by a self-assembling technique. These direct heterostructures with double stop band are infiltrated with zinc oxide by sol-gel method, followed by the removal of the original polymer template by a wet-etching process to result in inverse heterostructures made of zinc oxide. A red shift in the wavelength of stop bands is observed when the crystal is infiltrated with zinc oxide and a blue shift after inversion, in concurrence with the changes in the effective index of the structure. The stop band is also calculated to extract the number of layers and the extinction co-efficient contributing to the heterostructure. This structure made by a room-temperature low-cost technique produces a sparsely-filled zinc oxide crystal with a single refractive index but containing two different periodicities in a layered arrangement that can be used as a lab-on-a-chip for dual- or multi-wavelength sensing applications.
