In the context of type-IIA orientifold compactifications,we discuss the fermion masses in a two-singlet-extended minimal-supersymmetric-standard-model four-stack quiver with U(3)×Sp(1)×U(1)×U(1)gauge *** corresponding effective superpotential exhibits hierarchical coupling term scales giving a partial solution to the fermion masses *** the known data with upper bound neutrino masses mvt≤2 eV,we estimate the relevant scales for the model.

Surfactants for enhanced oil recovery are important to study due to their special characteristics like foam generation,lowering interfacial tension between oleic and aqueous phases,and wettability alteration of reservoir rock *** is a good mobility control agent in enhanced oil recovery for improving the mobility *** the present work,the foaming behavior of three nonionic ethoxylated surfactants,namely Tergitol 15-S-7,Tergitol 15-S-9,and Tergitol 15-S-12,was studied *** the surfactants,Tergitol 15-S-12 shows the highest *** effect of Na Cl concentration and synthetic seawater on foaming behavior of the surfactants was investigated by the test-tube shaking *** critical micelle concentrations of aqueous solutions of the different nonionic surfactants were measured at 300 *** was found that the critical micelle concentrations of all surfactants also increased with increasing ethylene oxide *** light scattering experiments were performed to investigate the micelle sizes of the surfactants at their respective critical micelle *** flooding experiments were carried out in sand packs using the surfactant *** was found tha t22% additional oil was recovered in the case of all the surfactants over secondary water *** 15-S-12exhibited the maximum additional oil recovery which is more than 26%after water injection.

Finding an accurate method for estimating permeability aside from well logs has been a difficult task for many *** most commonly used methods targeted towards regression technique to understand the correlation between pore throat radii,porosity and permeability are Winland and Pittman equation *** these methods are very common among petrophysicists,they do not give a good prediction in certain ***,this paper investigates the relationship among porosity,permeability,and pore throat radii using three methods such as multiple regression analysis,artificial neural network(ANN),and adaptive neuro-fuzzy inference system(ANFIS)for application in transition zone permeability ***,a comprehensive mercury injection capillary pressure(MICP)test was conducted using 228 transition zone carbonate core samples from a field located in the Middle-East *** regression analysis was later performed to estimate the permeability using pore throat and porosity *** the ANN,a two-layer feed-forward neural network with sigmoid hidden neurons and a linear output neuron was *** technique involves training,validation,and testing of input/output ***,for the ANFIS method,a hybrid optimization consisting of least-square and backpropagation gradient descent methods with a subtractive clustering technique was *** ANFIS combines both the artificial neural network and fuzzy logic inference system(FIS)for the training,validation,and testing of input/output *** results show that the best correlation for the multiple regression technique is achieved for pore throat radii with 35%mercury saturation(R35).However,for both the ANN and ANFIS techniques,pore throat radii with 55%mercury saturation(R55)gives the best *** the ANN and ANFIS are later found to be more effective and efficient and thus recommended as compared with the multiple regression technique commonly used in the industry.

The recent observation of higher quark combinations, tetraquarks and pentaquarks, is a strong indication of more exotic hadrons. Using Z_2 and Z_3 symmetries and standard model data, a general quark combination producing new hadronic states is proposed in terms of polygon geometries according to the Dynkin diagrams of ?_n affine Lie algebras. It has been shown that Z_(2,3) invariance is crucial in the determination of the mesonic or the baryonic nature of these states. The hexagonal geometry is considered in some details producing both mesonic and baryonic states. A general class of this family is also presented.

Considering the cosmological constantΛas a thermodynamic pressure and its conjugate quantity as a thermodynamic volume as proposed by Kubiznak and Mann[*** Energy Phys.1207(2012)033],we discuss the critical behavior of charged AdS black hole in arbitrary dimensions *** particular,we present a comparative study in terms of the spacetime dimension d and the displacement of critical points controlling the transition between the small and the large black *** behaviors vary nicely in terms of *** result shows that the equation of state for a charged Reissner–Nordstrom AdS black hole predicts an universal number given by(2d-5)/(4d-8).The three-dimensional solution is also discussed.

We study the Hawking radiation of 3D rotating hairy black holes. Specifically, we compute the transition probability of bosonic and fermionic particles in such backgrounds. Then, we show that the transition probability is independent of the nature of the particle. It is observed that the charge of the scalar hairy B and the rotation parameter a control such a probability.

Borrowing ideas from elliptic complex geometry, we approach M-theory compactifications on real fibrations. Precisely, we explore real toric equations rather than complex ones exploited in F-theory and related dual models. These geometries have been built by moving real toric manifolds over real bases. Using topological changing behaviors, we unveil certain data associated with gauge sectors relying on affine lie symmetries.

We reconsider the study of critical behaviors of Kerr—Newman Anti-de Sitter(AdS)black holes in four *** study is made in terms of the moduli space parameterized by the charge Q and the rotation parameter a,relating the mass M of the black hole and its angular momentum J via the relation a=J/***,we discuss such thermodynamical behaviors in the presence of a positive cosmological constant considered as a thermodynamic pressure and its conjugate quantity as a thermodynamic *** equation of state for a charged Reissner—Nordstrom AdS black hole predicts a critical universal number depending on the(Q,a)moduli *** the vanishing limit of the a parameter,this prediction recovers the usual universal number in four ***,we find the bounded region of the moduli space allowing the consistency of the model with real thermodynamical variables.

The lack of knowledge of plant tolerance and differential response to aluminum(Al)encouraged many researchers,in the last decade,to elucidate Al toxicity and tolerance *** current study reported the impact of Al,a toxic element with negative effects on plant growth and development,in halophytic plant Tamarix *** were subjected to different Al concentrations(0,200,500 and 800μM)with or without NaCl(200 mM)***,photosynthesis and mineral content were *** stress had a significant decrease on shoots’biomass production between 19 to 41%,and a little variation on chlorophyll content and photosynthetic efficiency(Fo,Fm,Fv fluorescence’s and Fv/Fm).Furthermore,the Al-treatments did not affect significantly the content of potassium,calcium,and magnesium in different plant parts,whereas NaCl addition to the medium induced a decrease in these elements’*** results have shown that *** is able to accumulate the high levels of Al in shoots and roots,6288μg.g^(-1) DW and 7834μg.g^(-1) DW *** is considered as a hyperaccumulator plant of *** addition,Na+contents in shoots and roots exceed 23000μg.g^(-1) ***,*** presents a high tolerance at the same time to Al and NaCl phytotoxicity,so it is interesting to use in phytoremediation programs.
