The features of nuclear stopping power and multi-hadron production systematically are studied by making an analysis of rapidity distributions of pion and proton at AGS, SPS and RHIC in this work. It is found that nuclear stopping power increases linearly with project rapidity yp at AGS and SPS, but that is not liner at RHIC. It is argued that the average rapidity loss is saturated at central rapidity region at RHIC. For pion distribution, it is found that the phase space of pion distribution distributes uniformly in the longitudinal direction,and a linear relationship of L with log s is given at AGS and SPS. Non-uniform flow model may explain the features of the distribution at AGS and SPS, but may not ex- plain those of at RHIC.

Influences of addition of CaO, CoO and V2O5 on the microstructure and magnetic properties of （Mg0.476.n0.448Zn0.007）（Fe1.997Ti0.002）O4 ferrites were investigated. The powders of （Mg0.476.n0.448Zn0.007）（Fe1.997Ti0.002）O4 composition were prepared by using a conventional ceramic powder processing technique. The experimental results showed that the average grain size of the sintered ferrites codoped with 0.03wt% CaO, 0.04wt% CoO and 0.06.t% V2O5 was about 15 μm; the saturation magnetization of ferrites was 6..78 emu/g. The addition of V2O5 in the ferrites can not only increase value of the saturation magnetization, but also decrease the average grain size of （Mg0.476.n0.448Zn0.007）（Fe1.997Ti0.002）O4 ferrites. Simultaneous incorporation of CoO, CaO and V2O5 dopants into （Mg0.476.n0.448Zn0.007）（Fe1.997Ti0.002）O4 ferrites can not only improve the saturation magnetization of the materials, but also inhibit abnormal grain growth.

IN 1994, Terras obtained the central limit theorem on Poincare upper half planeM=SL(2,R)/SO(2). This is the first non-Euclidean central limit theorem on a noncompactRiemannian symmetric space. Based on the spherical Follrier transform, using the expressionsof the heat kernel obtained by Lohoue et al. , we establish in this note the non-Euclideancentral limit theorem on noncompact Riemannian symmetric spaces of rank one.

It is believed that the albite-potash-feldspar-greenschists in the middle Proterozoic Langshan Group in Tanyaokou District are synsedimentary potassic spilite （or poenite） based on the following facts and features: （ ⅰ ） they occur in beds and look blackish （or apple） green and compact; （ ⅱ ） they bear blasto-glomeroporphyritic and blastocrystalloclastic crystals which consist of （altered） albite laths with hollow skeleton crystal texture in which there are slender dark strips and minor pyroxene, and blasto-amygdaloid filled with pyrite, chlorite, magnetite, etc.; （ ⅲ ） the results of the petrochemical diagrams show that they are orthometamorphites; （ Ⅳ ） Sm-Nd isotopic age of them is 1 824 Ma (model age (tDM) is 2 006.2 132 Ma).

This paper presents the primary results of petrologic, mineralogical and petrochemical studies of garnet-bearing granulite facies rock xenoliths from Xinyang, Henan Province. These xenoliths, which are found in a pipe of late Mesozoic volcaniclastic breccia, are of high density (3.13–3.30 g/cm3) and high seismic velocity (Vp = 7.04–7.31 km/s), being products of underplating of basaltic magmas and had experienced granulite facies metamorphism. The underplating and metamorphism took place before the eruption of the host rock. Petrographical studies and equilibrium T-P calculations show that these xenoliths were captured at a 49 km depth and experienced at least a 16.km uplift before they were captured. The dynamics of the uplift could be related to the continent-continent collision between the North china plate and the Yangtze plate during the Triassic.

Based on field observations and rheology analysis, we perform one analogue experiment and remold the 3D structural frame of Tongling deposit concentrating area firstly. Then we disassemble and dialyze the 3D structures of the model using the methods of "slicing" and "stripping". A series of sliced planes vertical to the fold hinges show similar landscapes of that in the drill hole profiles. Meanwhile, layer stripping analysis indicates that the deformation features of each layer in the model are qualitatively analogical to those obtained from field observations. Through contrasting the 3D structure between the experimental model and the field phenomena, we verify the following 3D deformation features of the caprock in this area: (1) the Tongling area mainly consists of three series of NE S-typed fold groups; (2) in the uniform stress field, the incoherent folds universally develop in different positions, along different axes as well as in different strata; (3) the faults propagate upward which are mostly inter-bedded detachment faults, while the fold amplitudes decrease while going deeper; and (4) the folds and cleavages are highly developed in the Silurian System indicating that the deformation effect of the Indosin-ian-Yanshanian structural layer terminates at this layer, which suggests that the Silurian System is the crucial layer for the inversion between brittle and plastic deformation domains and the underlying strata are subject to the control of another deformation system with distinct properties.

The Yingfeng rapakivi granite on the north flank of Qaidam is a newly discovered Proterozoic rapakivi pluton in china, which was found after the discovery of Shachang rapakivi in Miyun County, Beijing and Kuandian rapakivi in Jilin Province. Yingfeng rapakivi pluton is ex-posed on the north side of the suture belt between Qinling-Kunlun orogenic belt and North china plate. U-Pb zircon isotopic dating and Ar-Ar isotopic dating of both hornblende and K-feldspar from the Yingfeng rapakivi granite have been conducted. The results show that the age of (1776.33)Ma at the upper intercept in Concorde diagram represents the age of formation of the plu-ton, whereas the age of (526.281) Ma at the lower intercept and Ar-Ar mineral dating of horn-blende and K-feldspar correspond to the age of a later event affecting the pluton, suggesting that Yingfeng pluton has ever been affected by strong regional Caledonian-Hercynian tectonic movement after its formation. The discovery of middle Proterozoic Yingfeng rapakivi granite pro-vides a petrologic evidence for the timing of cratonization of both the continental crust basement in western china and the basement of the North china plate and for a rifting event taking place in the mid-Proterozoic, suggesting that an amalgamation of ancient china continents had ever happened during the L liang Movement?between the early Proterozoic and the mid-Proterozoic.

A Structured Methodology for Local Network Design Engineering

This paper presents a structured methodology for local network design engineering (SMLNDE). A complex and fuzzy project for local network design can be decomposed into a set of simple and particular activities using the SMLNDE. The SMLNDE allows rigorous requirements definition and permits the exhaustive consideration of the large number of factors influencing local network design engineering. The complete and clear design documentations and an optimal design can also be provided by the methodology. The SMLNDE has been implemented using the structured analysis and design technique. The study shows that the SMLNDE is an effective design methodology for the large and complex local networks.
