Modelling of multi-bodies in close proximity under water waves——Fluid resonance in narrow gaps

Viscous fluid model and potential flow model with and without artificial damping force(f=-μV,μ the damping coefficient and V the local averaging flow velocity) are employed in this work to investigate the phenomenon of fluid resonance in narrow gaps between multi-bodies in close proximity under water *** numerical results are compared with experimental data available in the *** comparison demonstrates that both the viscous fluid model and the potential flow model are able to predict the resonant frequency reasonably *** the conventional potential flow model(without artificial damping term) significantly over-predicts the wave height in narrow gaps around the resonant *** order to calibrate the appropriate damping coefficient used for the potential model and make it work as well as the viscous fluid model in predicting the resonant wave height in narrow gaps but with little computational efforts,the dependence of damping coefficient μ on the body geometric dimensions is examined considering the parameters of gap width Bg,body draft D,body breadth ratio Br and body number n(n = 2,3),where Br = BB/BA for the case of two bodies(Body A and Body B) with different breadths of BA and BB,*** was confirmed that the damping coefficient used for the potential flow model is not sensitive to the geometric dimensions and spatial *** was found that μ∈ [0.4,0.5] may guarantee the variation of Hg/H0 with kh to be generally in good agreement with the experimental data and the results of viscous fluid model,where Hg is the excited wave height in narrow gaps under various dimensionless incident wave frequencies kh,H0 is the incident wave height,k = 2π/L is the wave number and h is the water depth.

Oral squamous cell carcinoma(OSCC)is one of the most prevalent forms of head and neck squamous cell carcinomas(HNSCC)with a poor overall survival rate(about 50%),particularly in cases of ***-based cancer biomarkers are a relatively advanced concept,and non-coding RNAs currently have shown promising roles in the detection and treatment of various *** review underlines the function of long non-coding RNAs(lncRNAs)in the OSCC and its subsequent clinical ***,a class of non-coding RNAs,are larger than 200 nucleotides and resemble mRNA in numerous ***,unlike mRNA,lncRNA regulates multiple druggable and non-druggable signaling molecules through simultaneous interaction with DNA,RNA,proteins,or microRNAs depending on concentration and localization in *** of oncogenic lncRNAs and downregulation of tumor suppressor lncRNAs are evident in OSCC tissues and body fluids such as blood and saliva indicating their potential as valuable *** inhibition of candidate oncogenic lncRNAs or overexpression of tumor suppressor lncRNAs showed potential therapeutic roles in in-vivo animal *** types of lncRNAs that are expressed differentially in OSCC tissue and bodily fluids have been systematically documented with specificity and *** review thoroughly discusses the biological functions of such lncRNAs in OSCC cell survival,proliferation,invasion,migration,metastasis,angiogenesis,metabolism,epigenetic modification,tumor immune microenvironment,and drug ***,we addressed the diagnostic and therapeutic importance of lncRNAs in OSCC pre-clinical and clinical systems,providing details on ongoing research and outlining potential future directions for advancements in this *** essence,this review could be a valuable resource by offering comprehensive and current insights into lncRNAs in OSCC for researchers in fundamental and clinical domains.

Non-alcoholic steatohepatitis(NASH),an advanced form of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD),has emerged as the leading cause of liver failure and related ***,no medication is specifically approved to treat NAFLD or *** we report that oral administration of honey vesiclelike nanoparticles(H-VLNs)to naturally aged mice protects the liver from NASH development.H-VLNs are dominantly taken up by Kupffer cells in the liver and suppress hepatic chronic inflammation and further development of fibrosis and nodule formation in aged *** their reported antiinflammasome function,H-VLNs are found to inhibit the transcriptional activities of C-JUN and nuclear factor-kappa B(NF-κB).MicroRNAs miR5119 and miR5108 and phenolic compound luteolin in H-VLNs are identified in suppressing both the C-JUN and NF-kB ***,oral intake of H-VLNs represents a promising new user-friendly modality to prevent the development of NASH.

The wave diffraction and radiation around a floating body is considered within the framework of linear potential theory in fairly perfect,*** fluid domain extended infinitely in the horizontal directions limited by the sea bed,the body hull and the part of free surface excluding the body waterplane,is subdivided into two subdomains according to the body *** two subdomains are connected by a control surface in fluid. In each subdomain,the velocity potential is described by using the usual boundary integral representation involving Green *** boundary integral equations arc then established by satisfying the boundary conditions and the continuous condition of the potential and the normal derivation across the control surface. This multi-domain boundary element method(MDBEM) is particularly interesting for bodies with especial hull form including moonpools to which the usual BEM presents singularities and slow convergence of numerical *** application of the MDBEM to study the resonant motion of water column in moonpools shows that the MDBEM provides an efficient and reliable prediction method.

In this paper, we present the double Beta spline curved surface which is controlled by double parameters including the algorithm principles, the treatment of boundary conditions, the alternation of projection, the algorithms of elimination hiddle line, the process to display and the primiples to produce the shaded curved surface. Based on all the above, a freedom surface modeling system (FSMS) is designed and some examples developed on FSMS are verified and analyzed.

Oral squamous cell carcinoma(OSCC)is one of the common lethal malignancies which is increasing rapidly in the *** risks from alcohol and tobacco habits,lack of early detection markers,lack of effective chemotherapeutic agents,recurrence and distant metastasis make the disease more complicated to ***-based studies and epidemiological studies indicate important roles of nutraceuticals to manage different *** plant bitter melon(Momordica charantia)is a good source of nutrients and bio-active phytochemicals such as triterpenoids,triterpene glycosides,phenolic acids,flavonoids,lectins,sterols and *** plant is widely grown in Asia,Africa,and South *** melon has traditionally been used as a folk medicine and Ayurvedic medicine in Asian culture to treat diseases such as diabetes,since ancient *** crude extract and some of the isolated pure compounds of bitter melon show potential anticancer effects against different *** this review,we shed light on its effect on *** melon extract has been found to inhibit cell proliferation and metabolism,induce cell death and enhance the immune defense system in the prevention of OSCC in vitro and in ***,bitter melon may be used as an attractive chemopreventive agent in progression towards OSCC clinical study.

Irregular Characteristics of Bond Interface Formation in Ultrasonic Wire Wedge Bonding

The mechanism of ultrasonic wire wedge bonding, one of the die/chip interconnection methods, was investigated based on the characteristics of the ultrasonic wire bonding joints. The Al-1%Si wire of 25 μm in diameter was bonded on Au/Ni/Cu pad and the joint cross-section was analyzed by scanning electron microscopy （SEM） and energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy （EDX）. The results indicated that it is irregular for the ultrasonic bond formation, non-welded at the centre but joining well at the periphery, especially at the heel and toe of the joint. Furthermore, the diffusion and/or reaction at the cross-section interface are not clear at C-zone, while there exists a strip layer microstructure at P-zone, and the composition is 78.96 at. pct Al and 14.88 at. pct Ni, close to the Al3Ni intermetallic compound. All these observations are tentatively ascribed to the plastic flow enhanced by ultrasonic vibration and repeated cold deformation driving interdiffusion between AI and Ni at bond interface.

The αMβ2 integrin and its role in neutrophil function

Neutrophils are the first cell type to arrive at the in-jury sites and play a critical role in host defense, by virtueof its ability to adhere and transmigrate through endothe-lium, to phagocytose foreign pathogens, and to producefree oxygen radicals and proteolytic enzymes. Yet, inap-propriate neutrophil activation causes tissue damage andvarious inflammatory diseases. These physiological andpathological functions of neutrophils depend on the en-gagement of certain surface receptors, especially αMβ2,the ma jor β2 integrin receptor present on neutrophil sur-face. Understanding of the molecular mechanisms under-lying ligand binding by αMβ2, as well as the roles of αMβ2-ligand interactions in neutrophil functions will enable usto regulate more precisely neutrophil activities: that is,to promote their host defense functions, and at the sametime to minimize their deleterious effects on normal cells.

目的阐明由于各种原因引起的急慢性伤口患者,除去敷料时疼痛的发生率和改用新型抗粘连敷料的效果。方法共有656名主治医生,报告了在研究期间、常规随访时所观察到的全部急性或慢性伤口的有关详细情况,对换药时感到的疼痛进行了系统的评估。对于中到重度患者,进行更全面的评估,并且请他们完成一个自我评估调查问卷。如果患者参加了随后的随访,将重新评估。结果在全部5850名患者中,2914名患者有急性伤口,2936名患者有慢性伤口。在筛查访问期间,报告换药时存在中度到重度疼痛的急性和慢性伤口的患者数量差不多(79.9%和79.7%),在家完成的自我评估调查问卷中报告存在重度疼痛的急性和慢性伤口的患者数量也差不多(分别为47%和59%)。当敷料和伤口床存在粘连时,取下敷料时非常疼痛。在88%的慢性伤口和95%的急性伤口患者中,改用新型的抗粘连敷料能够降低换药时的疼痛。结论本研究表明,不论创伤的病因如何,患者对治疗的可接受性均出现了类似的问题。疼痛是一个大问题,常常与敷料选择有关,选择合适的抗粘连敷料能够提高患者的可接受性。
