Adjustment of the Parameters in the Calculations of the γ-Production Data

＜正＞The AdS/CFT correspondence, which maps certain gauge theories to a gravity theory, provides important avenues for understanding the dynamics of strongly coupled gauge theories. The techniques o（?）ered by the correspondence are particularly valuable for extracting qualitative information about those physical quantities in QCD which are not directly available from lattice calculations, such as transport coe±cients, or dynamical processes of any sort. Thus the AdS/CFT correspondence has potential for providing important insights into the physics of heavy ion collisions at RHIC or LHC. I will describe two lines of recent research activities in applying

Introduction The γ-production data are very important for the nuclear engineering, especially for the calculations of the radiation shielding. Because the experimental values of the γ-production data can not satisfy the needs of the nuclear engineering both in the quantity of the nuclei and in the energy region covered by them, as the supplement, the theoretical calculations of the γ-production data are indispensable. The γ-production data in the nuclear reactions induced by neutrons include the γ-production cross sections, the γ-energy spectra, the γ-multiplicities and the reaction cross sections of the (n,γ) and the (n,xγ) reactions, where the (n,xγ) reactions mean

Using a gridded ionization chamber, the differential cross sections for6Li（n,t）4He reaction were measured at 3.67 and 4.42 MeV. The neutrons were produced with D（d,n）3He reaction. Absolute neutron flux was determined through238U（n,f） and H（n,p） reaction. The result at 3.67 MeV is almost 90 degree symmetry but it is obviously forward peaked at 4.42 MeV in the center of mass system.

低能离子输运的一个重要特点是它有可能被一个简单的参数所确定，我们发现离子的标度输运截面即是具有这种重要性质的参数。这种单值对应关系反映了不同能量的不同靶一离子的组合在输运上的内在相似性。本文给出了标度输运截面的定义，讨论了此标度参数标定离子输运行为的理论依据。同时通过应用离子输运双群模型所作的大量计算检验了单参数标定离子输运行为这一结论。最后给出以标度输运截面为自变量的离子反射系数和平均投影射程的经验公式。

A web-based nuclear data service software system, NDOS ( nuclear Data Online Services), has been developed and released in Sep. 2001. Through the Internet, this system distributes charge of free 8 international nuclear databases: 5 evaluated neutron databases (BROND, CENDL, ENDF, JEF and, JENDL), Evaluated nuclear Structure and Decay File ENSDF, Experimental nuclear Data Library EXFOR database and IAEA Photonuclear Data Library. A software package, NDVS (nuclear Data Viewing System), facilitates the visualization and manipulation of nuclear data. The computer programs providing support for database management and data retrievals are based on the Linux implementation of PHP and the MySQL software.

Measurement of Angular Distribution and Cross Section for ^(58)Ni(n,α)^(55)Fe Reaction at 5.1 MeV

＜正＞In order to enhance the mechanical and electrical properties of the polymers, ion implantation techniques have been suggested [1-4]. Recent studies have shown that ion implantation is very effective for improving surface properties of polymers Polyethylene terephthalane （PET） has been modified with C ions attracted from a metal vapor arc source （MEVVA）. After implantation, sheet resistance decreased. The results from nano testing show that after C implantation, flexibility of implanted layer increases as shown in Fig.l. The Surface hardness is 12.3 times greater than that of PET, 2 times greater than stainless steel hardness （3GPa）, the Modulus increases 2.6 times comparing with PET as shown in Table 1. The infrared absorption indicated that the bonds of carbon nano-particles and DLC nano-particles are detected. The PET has been strengthened by these dispersed nano-particles. The measurement results using nano hardness tester show that the surface hardness and modulus increase obviously. The surface structure has greatly changed. The TEM photo shows that the nano-particles were formed.

Metal vapor vacuum arc (MEVVA) source ion implantation is a new technology used for achieving long range ion *** is very important for research and application of the ion beammodification of materials. The results showthat the implanted atom diffusion coefficient increases in Mo implanted Al with high ion flux andhigh dose. The implanted depth is 311.6 times greater than that ofthe corresponding ion range. The ionspecies, doses and ion fluxes play an important part in the long-range implantation. Especially,thermal atom chemistry have specific effect on the long-range implantation during high ion fluximplantation at transient high target temperature.
