An Agilent 6890N GC equipped with both FID and Agilent 5.75.MSD analyzer has been employed to analyze C5.C13 hydrocarbon fractions of crude oils. A technical combination of program temperature volatilizer injection, backflush and micro-flow controller afforded a fine separation of C5.C13 compounds on a PONA column with the heavy part of crude oils being cut off before entering the analytical column. Both GC-FID chromatogram and GC-MS mass chromatograms (MID and full scan) could be obtained at the same time. The retension time differences of nC6—nC13 alkanes between GC and TIC were in the range of 0.02—0.5. minutes. Totally 286 peaks have been assigned group compositions. Results on 8 typical oil samples from CNPC Key Laboratory Crude Oil Library showed that the characteristics of C6—C13 hydrocarbon group composition could be used in oil-oil correlation studies.

The LaMn1-xTexO3+δ (x=0.1, 0.2, 0.3) were synthesized using solid-state reaction method for the first time. X-ray photoemission spectrum (XPS) shows that in the samples the Te ions have a valence of Te4+, and Mn3+ ions are partly converted into Mn2+ and Mn4+ due to the excess oxygen and Te doping. The magnetotransport associated with Mn2+, Mn3+ and Mn4+ was investigated. The experimental results show that the samples are insulator at 0 T when the amount of Mn3+ is much larger or less than the sum of Mn2+ and Mn4+; by contrast, the samples display metal to insulator transition with increasing temperature when the amount of Mn3+ is close to the sum of Mn2+ and Mn4+. These anomalous magnetotransport behaviors were analyzed in the frame of the double-exchange (DE) mechanism.

Neotectonic movement refers to the tectonic movement that has happened since the Cenozoic, which is the latest movement. It has the most important influence on the basins in west china, especially on the hydrocarbon accumulation in the western foreland basins. We determined the time of neotectonic movement in the Kuqa Foreland Basin, which began from the Neogene, and analyzed the patterns of movement, which were continuous and fast subsidence in the vertical direction and intense lateral compression. The structure styles are that the faulting is weakened and the folding is strengthened gradually from north to south. We studied the control of neotectonic movement on the hydrocarbon accumulation process and model in the Kuqa Foreland Basin with basin simulation technique. The largest subsidence rate of the Kuqa Foreland Basin reached 1,200 m/Ma during the neotectonic movement, leading to rapid maturing of source rock within 5.Ma and a large quantity of hydrocarbon being generated and expelled. The thick neotectonic strata can form high quality reservoirs with the proved gas and oil reserves accounting for 5. and 27% of the total reserves, respectively. 86% of the structural traps were formed in the neotectonic movement period. The faults formed during the neotectonic movement serve as important migration pathways and they exist in the region where the hydrocarbon reservoirs are distributed. Abnormally high pressure caused by the intense lateral compression, thick neotectonic strata deposition and rapid hydrocarbon generation provide driving force for hydrocarbon migration. The accumulation elements match each other well over a short period, leading to many large gas fields formed later in the Kuqa Foreland Basin.

The control law synthesis, wind tunnel test and engineering properties ofdigital active flutter suppression system (AFSS) are presented.A method ofdiscretization of continuous domain is adopted in the control law design, and four kindsof control laws are demonstrated during the wind tunnel test with this method. Thewind tunnel test affirms the correctness of the theoretical computation and the test de-sign. The control law is implemented by use of microcomputer and industry controllerin this test. The engineering properties of the active flutter suppression system are pres-ented. The research on a dynamically scaled wing/ store configuration shows that theflutter speed increases by 20% or so and the performance of the system is basically satis-factory.

Studies of the deformation styles, formation types and isotopic age data indicate that the Altaides has successively experienced 5.stages of orogeny: (1) the Kanas orogeny forming the angular unconformity between the Baihaba Formation (O_3) and the Habahe Group (Z-O_2); (2) the Daqiao orogeny (S_3-D_(1-2) giving rise to the early Hercynian quasi-aulacogen extensional continental crust of the area; (3) the Altay orogeny (middle-late Hercynian) leading to the oblique intracontinentai collision and the formation of large shear arc-shaped thrust system and representing a strong orogeny stage; (4) the pan-Altay orogeny (latest Hercynian-Indosinian) resulting in the uplifting and erosion of the mountains as a whole; (5. the Himalayan movement causing the rejuvenation of fault systems and block uplift of the Aitaides since the Cenozoic.

The study of the convergent rate (spectra gap) in the L^2-sense is motivated from several different fields: probability statistics, mathematical physics, computer science and so on and it is now an artive research topic. Based on a new approach (the coupling technique) introduced in [7] for the estimate of the convergent rate and as a continuation of [4],[5.,[7-9],[23] and [24], this paper studies the estimate of the rate for time-continuous Markov chains. Two variational formulas for the rate are presented here for the first time for birth-death processes. For diffusions, similar results are presented in an accompany paper [10]. The new formulas enable us to recover or improve the main known results. The connection between the sharp estimate and the corresponding eigenfunction is explored and illustrated by various examples. A previous result on optimal Markovian couplings is also extended in the paper.

A hydrocarbon model of the modern aquatic plant Gloeocapsa and the aquatic animal mantis shrimp was found in thermal simulating experiment. The results show that the modern aquatic plant Gloeocapsa is characterized by late generation, late termination and a long duration of oil generation, while the aquatic animal mantis shrimp is characterized by early generation, early termination and a short duration of oil generation. The nalkanes from Gloeocapsa and mantis shrimp are characterized by peak carbon C 15. -C 17 . With increasing thermal simulating temperature, the peak carbon changes from C 17 to C 15. , and the odd-even predominance of nalkanes becomes less clear. The products from Gloeocapsa contain abundant phenanthrene and naphthalene compounds, and even a little retene, while those from mantis shrimp are dominated by naphthalene compounds, and are poor in phenanthrene compounds. Gloeocapsa and mantis shrimp are rich in C 27 sterane, relatively rich in tricyclic terpanes (C 19 -C 29 ) and hopanes (C 27 -C 35. ), poor in 5.,14β,17β sterane, and coprostane does not disappear until 45. ℃. The tricyclic terpanes in Gloeocapsa are characterized by peak carbon C 23 and C 23 >C 21 , and in mantis shrimp by C 21 and C 21 >C 23 . The content of pregnanes is very low at low temperature of thermal simulation, while above 360 ℃, high levels of pregnane series compounds and even degraded C 25. and C 26 steranes occur in thermal simulation products.

Recent geophysical surveys and basin modeling suggest that the No.1 fault in the Ying- gehai basin (YGHB) is the seaward elongation of the Red River fault zone (RRFZ) in the South china Sea (SCS). The RRFZ, which separates the South china and Indochina block, extends first along the Yuedong fault, offshore of Vietnam, and then continues southward and breaks off into two branches: the Lupar fault and the Tinjia fault. The southern extension of the Lupar fault dies out beneath the NW Borneo while the Tinjia fault extends southeast and reaches the Brunei-Sabah area. According to the gravity and geomagnetic data, and the tectonic evolution of the basins, there are different evolution histories between the Wan’an basin (WAB) and the basins in the Nansha block. The Tinjia fault may be the boundary between the Balingian block and the Nansha block. Hence, the line linking the Yue- dong fault and the Tinjia fault, which both are continental margin faults and strike-slip ones in the geological evolution histories, constitute the boundary between the Indochina and Nansha block. The Lupar fault, in contrast, is an intraplate fault within the Indochina block. The results provide new hints for reconstructing the tectonic evolution history of the RRFZ and the opening of the SCS, and also a framework for hydrocarbon prospecting in the region.
