We study the relevance of nucleon pairs with higher spins, in addition to spin-zero and spin-two pairs (i.e., S D pairs), in low-lying states of even-even Xe nuclei. By including those higher-spin pairs in our configuration, we recalculate energy level schemes, elec trical quadrupole moments, magnetic moments and electric quadrupole transition rates, for low-lying states of even-even 128-142Xe nuclei. The agreement between our calculated results and the experimental data is substantially imp.o.ed in comparison with previous studies.

Modulated Quasi-plane Tunneling Current

A new tutmeling junction can be formed by an insulator layer inserting into a quantum well, and in the quantum well, a quasi-plane tunneling current can be formed by applying a tunneling voltage. If a p-N junction is grown on the quantum well, the tunneling current can be modulated by a p-N junction-bias voltage. The modulated quasi-plane tunneling current is not only related to the bias voltage, but also to the depth of the quantum well. It is analyzed that the p-N junction-bias voltage how to affect the tunneling current and a method of measuring the depth of the quantum well is presented.

A revised iterative method based on Green function defined by quadratures along a single trajectory isp.o.osed to solve the low-lying quantum wave function for Schrdinger *** a new expression of theperturbed energy is obtained,which is much simpler than the traditional *** method is applied to solve theunharmonic oscillator *** revised iteration p.o.edure gives exactly the same result as those based on thesingle trajectory quadrature method.A comparison of the revised iteration method to the old one is made using theexample of Stark *** obtained results are consistent to each other after making power expansion.

AD GALERKIN ANALYSIS FoR NoNLINEAR pSEUDo-HYpERBoLIC EQUATIoNS

AD (Alternating direction) Galerkin schemes for d-dimensional nonlinear pseudo-hyperbolic equations are studied. By using patch app.o.imation technique, AD p.o.edure is realized, and calculation work is simplified. By using Galerkin app.o.ch, highly computational accuracy is kept. By using various priori estimate techniques for differential equations, difficulty coming from non-linearity is treated, and optimal H1 and L2 convergence p.o.erties are demonstrated. Moreover, although all the existed AD Galerkin schemes using patch app.o.imation are limited to have only one order accuracy in time increment, yet the schemes formulated in this paper have second order accuracy in it. This implies an essential advancement in AD Galerkin analysis.

Simulation of Unsteady Flows with Fluctuating Inflow or outflow Boundary Conditions

This paper describes the numerical simulation of unsteady flows due to incoming wakes and/or varying back pressure,The solution method is based upon the one-step finite-volume TVD Lax-Wendroff *** time-step app.o.ch and multigrid algorithm are adopted to imp.o.e the computational efficiency of the baseline *** results for the transonic unsteady flow in a channel bump and the unsteady flow in a flat plate cascade and the VKI cascade are presented.
