Aim:Extrapyramidal syndrome (EPS) is most commonly affected by typical antip-sychotic drugs that have a high affinity with the D2 ***,manyresearch groups have reported on the positive relationship between the geneticvariations in the DRD2 gene and the therapeutic response in schizophrenia pa-tients as a result of the role of variations in the receptor in modulating *** this study,we evaluate the role DRD2 plays in chlorpromazine-induced EPS in schizophrenic ***:We identified seven SNP(singlenucleotide polymorphism) (-141Cins>del,TaqIB,TaqID,Ser311Cys,rs6275,rs6277and TaqIA) in the DRD2 gene in 146 schizophrenic inpatients (59 with EPS and 87without EPS according to the Simpson-Angus Scale) treated with chlorpromazineafter 8 *** alleles of all loci were determined by PCR (polymerase chainreaction).Results:Polymorphisms TaqlD,Ser311Cys and rs6277 were not poly-morphic in the population recruited in the present *** statistical signifi-cance was found in the allele distribution of-141Cins>del,TaqIB,rs6275 andTaqIA or in the estimated haplotypes (constituted by TaqIB,rs6275 and TaqIA) inlinkage disequilibrium between the two ***:Our results did notlend strong support to the view that the genetic variation of the DRD2 gene playsa major role in the individually variable adverse effect induced by chlorpromazine,at least in Chinese patients with *** results confirmed a previousstudy on the relationship between DRD2 and EPS in Caucasians.

VMIB (virtual multi-dimensional internal bonds) is a multiscale mechanical model developed from the VIB (virtual internal bond) theory. In VIB theory,the solid mate-rial is considered to consist of random-distributed material particles in microscale. These particles are connected with normal bonds. The macro constitutive relation is derived from the cohesive law between particles. However,in VMIB,the micro particles are connected with both normal and shear bonds. The macro constitutive relation is derived in terms of bond stiffness coefficients. It has been theoretically certified that there exists a corresponding relationship between the two bond stiffness coefficients and the two macro material constants,i.e. the Young’s modulus and Poisson ratio. This corresponding relationship suggests that it should be necessary and sufficient to simultaneously account for the normal and shear interactions between particles. Due to the fact that the fracture criterion is directly incorporated into the constitutive relation,both VIB and VMIB present many advantages in simulating fractures of materials. In the damage model of rock mass,a damage tensor is usually defined to describe the distribution of cracks. The damage value in one direction determines the relative stiffness of rock mass in this direction. In VMIB solid,the relative distribution density of micro bonds in one direction determines the relative macro stiffness of the material in this direction. The effects of the damage value and the relative distribution density of bonds are consistent. To simulate the failure behavior of rock mass with VMIB,the presented paper sets up a quantitative relationship between the damage tensor and the rela-tive distribution density of bonds. Comparison of the theoretical and the experi-mental results shows that VMIB model can represent the effect of distributed cracks on rock mass with this relationship. In the multi-robots system, it's important for a robot to acquire adaptivenavigation rules for reaching the goal and avoiding other robots and obstacles and in the real-timeenvironment. An efficient approach to collision-avoidance in multi-robots system is suggested . Itis based on velocity information of moving objects and the distances between the robots and theobstacles in three specified directions and makes the robot navigate adaptively without collisionwith each other in a complicated situation. The effectiveness of algorithm is proved by the severalsimple examples in the physical world.

In this paper, we discusses the spectrum distribution of baroclinic disturbances in tropical cyclone-scale vortices with the assumption that the basic flow does not vary with height. The semi-circle theorem for the unstable perturbation is obtained and the upper bound of growth rate can be estimated. The upper bound of instability growth rate increases with the increase of the maximum basic-state tangential wind speed, angular speed, inertial parameter, absolute vorticity, radial gradient of absolute vorticity and static stability. The upper bound of instability growth rate is greater for vortices of larger horizontal scale and smaller vertical scale and lower wave-number disturbances.

The differential scanning calorimetric(DSC) and transmission electron microanalysis (TEM) techniques were used to study the kinetic process of precipitation in matrix of cast SiC_p/2024 *** results showed that precipitation reactions of GP zone and intermediate phase S'(Al_2CuMg)in the composites were accelerated compared with SiC-free material,the peak temperatures of both reactions were *** reaction enthalpies of both the GP zone and intermediate phase S' formation in the matrix were substantially decreased after the addition of *** analysis found that the alloying element Mg segregated at the SiC/Al interfaces,and was depleted in the matrix near the *** precipitation-free zones(PFZ) and precipitation-sparse zones(PSZ) formed near the interfaces,as a results,the volume fraction of precipitates in matrix was reduced.

The TiNw-AINp/Al composite has been successfully fabricated by gas-liquid reaction method in an intensive electromagnetic mixing and casting in an appropriate cooling condition. The as-cast samples of the composite exhibit a homogeneous distribution of TiNw and AINp, and the in situ formed TiN whisker has a mean diameter of 0.5 μm and mean aspect ratio of 5.8~7.5, and the diameter of the AIN particulates is less than 5 μm. TEM observation indicates that there exist some submicron and nanometer sized in situ formed TiNw-AINp in α-Al matrix. The formation mechanism of in situ formed TiNw and AINp is also discussed

The entropies of scalar field and neutrino field are calculated in the background of three-dimensional BTZ black hole. Considering statistical physics,we propose not to consider the superraradiant modes for bosons (Fermion fields do not display supperradiance).In fact,the nonsuperradiant modes do contribute exactly the area entropy for both bosons and fermions. The result shows that the neutrino field entropy is 3/2 times the scalar one.

Quantitative analysis of torrential rainfall associated with typhoon landfall:A case study of typhoon Haitang(2005)

A quantitative analysis of torrential rainfall associated with typhoon Haitang(2005) is carried out using a modified moist ageostrophic Q vector and data from Weather Research and Forecasting(WRF) model *** major factors determining the ascending motion associated with torrential rainfall have been studied:large-scale and convective condensational heating,topographic lifting and *** results show that the convective condensational heating plays a major role in the torrential rainfall process,and the large-scale condensational heating is secondary before the landfall of typhoon Haitang,and vice versa after the *** topographic lifting affects the formation of rainfall,whereas the topographic friction has important impacts on torrential rainfall after the *** rainfall amounts forced by the topographic friction and lifting have similar horizontal distributions,but the magnitudes of the former are 2-3 times larger than those of the *** rainfall amounts forced by topography(lifting and friction) and modified moist ageostrophic Q vector have different horizontal distributions,and the magnitudes of the former are 2-5 times larger than those of the *** analysis shows that the typhoon rainfall may be motivated by modified moist ageostrophic Q vector and enhanced further by the topographic effects.

An optimal motion planning scheme using wavelet approximation is proposed for an underactuated spacecraft. The motion planning of an underactuated spacecraft can be formulated as an optimal control of a drift-free system. A cost functional is used to incorporate the control energy and the final state errors. The motion planning is to determine control inputs to minimize the cost functional. Using the method of wavelet, one can transform an infinite-dimensional optimal control problem to a finite-dimensional one and use Gauss-Newton algorithm to solve it for a feasible trajectory which satisfies nonholonomic constraints. The proposed scheme has been applied to a rigid spacecraft with two momentum wheels. The numerical simulation results indicate that optimal control with wavelet approximation is an effective approach to steering an underactuated spacecraft system from the initial configuration to the final configuration.
