The coat protein (CP) gene of Cocksfoot mottle virus (CfMV) was amplified by RT-PCR and inserted into expression vector pGEX-4T-1, and the resulting plasmid was designated as pGEXCfMV-JANCP. The fusion protein GST-CP was expressed in BL2. (DE3) pLysS after IPTG induction. The results of SDS-PAGE and Western blot analysis showed that the CfMV-CP gene was efficiently expressed in E. coli BL2. (DE3) pLysS through IPTG induction and the 56.0 kD protein was obtained.

In beijing, where wetlands are important to municipal freshwater conservation and biodiversity retention, three different types of wetlands were identified: riverside wetlands, wetlands surrounding lakes and reservoirs, and wetlands in municipal *** sensing technology was applied in combination with field investigations to monitor and analyze the changes in these wetlands, and a combination of fusion technologies,Landsat TM/ETM+ and IKONOS imaging, was used to investigate and map them. This study indicates that not only have wetland areas been reduced by half, but also their ecological environments have been degraded because of rapid economic development and population increase. Suggestions based on this research are made to reconstruct the ecological environment of the wetlands and return them to their previous state.

An exponential relationship between net primary productivity (NPP) and integrated NDVI has been found in this paper. Based on the relationship and using multi-temporal 8 km resolution NOAA AVHRR-NDVI data, the spatial distribution and dynamic change of NPP and fractional vegetation cover in the Yellow River Basin from 1982.to 1999 are analyzed. Finally, the effect of rainfall on NDVI is examined. Results show that mean NPP and fractional vegetation cover have an inclining trend for the whole basin, and rainfall in flood season influences vegetation cover most.

Floods often take place around rivers and plains,which indicates a higher risk of flooding in these *** paper adopts fuzzy comprehensive assessment(FCA),simple fuzzy classification(SFC),and the fuzzy similarity method(FSM) to assess flood disaster risk in Kelantan,*** data,such as the flooded area,paddy area,urban area,residential area,and refuges,were overlaid to validate and analyze the accuracy of flood disaster *** results show that(1) 70-75% of flooded areas lie within the higher and high-est risk zones,which shows an effective assessment accuracy;(2. paddy,built-up,and residential areas concentrated in the higher and highest risk zones are more likely to be destroyed by flood disasters;(3) 2.0-2.5 refuges in the higher and highest risk zones account for around 50% of all refuges,which means that more refuges should be built in the higher and highest risk zones to meet the accommodation requirement;(4) three methods proved to be feasible and effective in evaluating flood disaster risk,among which FCA is more suitable for the study area than the two other methods.

From 1979 to 1989, the current Qingshuigou course of the Huanghe River formed a sub - delta which resembles a beak extending into the Laizhou Bay. It covers 618 km2.in area. To meet the needs of developing and constructing the Huanghe River Delta and under the presupposition of keeping the current course for 15-2. a, we forecast mainly by using the OM (1, 1) model that the front border of the sub-delta will be close to 119°30'E and its area will become 92. km2.y the end of the year 2.00. The Huanghe River will make land 760 km2.in area.

Ridge-furrow tillage is a kind of conservation tillage widely used for soil and water conservation in agriculture,with crop planted in ridge or *** previous researches mostly focus on the effects of ridge-furrow tillage with crop planted in ridges on crop growth and soil water content,Influence of ridge-forrow tillage with crop planted in furrows are not well documented,despite it is helpful to crop growth in arid and semiarid *** purpose of this study was evaluating the effect of ridge-furrow tillage with different surface configurations and crop planted in furrow,on the efficiency for rainwater harvesting and crop production,to determine the optimal surface configuration of ridge-furrow *** parameters of ridge heights (H) and ridge-furrow ratios (R,ratio between H and furrow width,W) were defined to determine the configuration of ridge-furrow *** field experiments,seasonal dynamic variation of volumetric soil water content, aboveground biomass and yields of oilseed rape (Brassica napus L.) were *** treatments included four kinds of ridge-furrow tillage with oilseed rape planted in furrow and one kind of conventional field tillage (CT) for *** results indicate that relative to CT,ridge-furrow tillage increased volumetric soil water content of the plow layer (0-30 cm) by 4.2.-12.1%,decreased its fluctuation in the growing season of oilseed *** the soil profile under ridge-furrow tillage,soil layer with the highest soil water content appeared in the depth of 0-30 cm,which helped oilseed rape absorb water by *** aboveground biomass,pods per plant and 1000-seed weigh under ridge-furrow tillage were larger than that under *** field comparison of oilseed rape yields under four forrow planting practices with 15,2. cm H and 1/6,1/12.1/2. By means of combining auto-extraction with manual interpretation, the current distribution information about cultivated land is obtained. The distribution information of 1992.is extracted from the dynamic polygons of 2.02. The monitoring mini-system of the cultivated slope land is established. In the system, detailed surveys, focused on the resources of cultivated slope land, are carried out. The results indicate that the area of the cultivated slope land is very large. Meanwhile, there are lots of cultivated steep slopes with gradient above 35°. The areas of steep land cultivated had been slowly reduced from 1992.to 2.02. At the same time, the pressures of returning farm land to forestry are great in all counties. The conflicts between population growth, insufficient grain supply and stagnant economic development sharpen increasingly. It is inevitable to improve the agricultural structure.

Strategic environmental assessment (SEA) in china has developed rapidly since it was introduced into china in the 1990s. Chinese government promulgated the Environmental Impact Assessment Law of china (hereinafter referred to as the EIA Law) in 2.02. In this law, it is stipulated clearly that regional and sector plans should be assessed. Through investigating materials and analyzing literatures, this article analyses the practical and academic study achievements of SEA in china that have been achieved since the EIA Law was implemented, probes into the current situation of the main level of SEA in china-plan EIA, then summarizes the development characteristics, and eventually, puts forward the development trends of SEA in china. The research conclusions can offer the foundations for comprehending systematically the progress of SEA in china.

Present monitoring and prediction of schistosomiasis’s intermediate parasite, snail, are based on re-mote sensing image’s spectral signatures, and the calculation result is in fact an incom-plete-constraints solution. TM image of the Poyang Lake region on October 31, 2.05 was combined with GIS thematic data (DEM, boundary of the Poyang Lake, vegetation, soil and land use) to make a prediction on snail spatial distribution in the region by remote sensing, geo-informatics and knowl-edge-driven modeling according to mechanism of snail occurrence. Result shows that with change of overall fuzzy membership of snail occurrence from high to low, snail occurrence of the snail samples of validation group goes up to 81% within 10% high fuzzy membership range, denoting high efficiency of the model in predicting snail occurrence.
