Bemisia tabaci(Gennadius) biotype B,called a "superbug",is one of the most harmful biotypes of this species complex *** this report,the invasive mechanism and management of *** biotype B,based on our 5-year studies,are *** *** biotypes,B,Q,ZHJ1,ZHJ2,ZHJ3 and FJ1,have been identified in *** B dominates the other biotypes in many regions of the *** diversity in biotype B might be induced by host plant,geographical conditions,and/or insecticidal *** activities of CarE(carboxylesterase) and GSTs(glutathione-S-transferase) in biotype B reared on cucumber and squash were greater than on other host plants,which might have increased its resistance to *** higher activities of detoxification enzymes in biotype B might be induced by the secondary metabolites in host *** adaptive ability of biotype B adults to adverse conditions might be linked to the expression of heat shock protein *** indigenous *** biotypes were displaced by the biotype B within 225 *** asymmetric mating interactions and mutualism between biotype B and begomoviruses via its host plants speed up widespread invasion and displacement of other *** biotype B displaced Trialeurodes vaporariorum(Westwood) after 4-7 generations under glasshouse *** adaptive ability of the biotype B to adverse conditions and its rapid population increase might be the reasons of its successful displacement of *** ability of the biotype B to switch to different host plants may enrich its host plants,which might enable it to better compete with *** predatory natural enemies possess greater ability to suppress *** under field *** kairomones in the 3rd and 4th instars of biotype B may provide an important stimulus in host searching and location by its *** present results provide useful information in explaining the mechanisms of genetic diversity,e

MODELLING AND NUMERICAL SOLUTIONS OF A GAUGE PERIODIC TIME DEPENDENT GINZBURG-LANDAU MODEL FOR TYPE-Ⅱ SUPERCONDUCTORS

In this paper we seek the solutions of the time dependent Ginzburg-Landau model for type-Ⅱ superconductors such that the associated physical observables are spatially periodic with respect to some lattice whose basic lattice cell is not necessarily rectangular. After appropriately foring the gange, the model can be formulated as a system of nonlinear parabolic partial differential equations with quasi-periodic boundary conditions. We first give some results concerning the existence, uniqueness and regularity of solutions and then we propose a semiimplicit finite element scheme solving the system of nonlinear partial dmerential equations and show the optimal error estimates both in the L2 and energy *** also report on some numerical results at the end of the paper.

Fiducial inference in the pivotal family of distributions

In this paper a family, called the pivotal family, of distributions is considered.A pivotal family is determined by a generalized pivotal model. Analytical results show that a great many parametric families of distributions are pivotal. In a pivotal family of distributions a general method of deriving fiducial distributions of parameters is proposed. In the method a fiducial model plays an important role. A fiducial model is a function of a random variable with a known distribution, called the pivotal random element, when the observation of a statistic is *** method of this paper includes some other methods of deriving fiducial distributions. Specially the first fiducial distribution given by Fisher can be derived by the method. For the monotone likelihood ratio family of distributions, which is a pivotal family, the fiducial distributions have a frequentist property in the Neyman-Pearson view. Fiducial distributions of regular parametric functions also have the above frequentist property. Some advantages of the fiducial inference are exhibited in four applications of the fiducial distribution. Many examples are given, in which the fiducial distributions cannot be derived by the existing methods.

Study on the Relationship Between the Ploidy Level of Microspore-Derived Plants and the Number of Chloroplast in Stomatal Guard Cells in Brassica oleracea

The relationship between the ploidy level of microspore-derived plants and chloroplast number in stomatal guard cells was studied in cabbage, broccoli, and chinese kale. In the experiment, distribution statistics analysis and t-test were used to perform statistical analysis on chloroplast number of different ploidy level in those stomatal guard cells mentioned above, and morphology identifying and chromosome counting were used to test accuracy of counting chloroplast number in stomatal guard cells. The chloroplast average number in stomatal guard cells was very similar among the different leaf positions on the same plant and among significantly among the different ploidy the different locations in the same stoma in the same variety. All the leaf, while the chloroplast number varied distributions of the chloroplast number in different ploidy stoma were normal distribution fitted. A correlation has been established between ploidy and chloroplast number in the stomatal guard cells. In every single stoma of microspore-derived plants, the chloroplast number for a haploid should not be more than 10, diploids 11 to 15, and polyploids more than 15. The accuracy of this method for identification of different ploidy plants was 93.93%. Furthermore, the accuracy of this method was reliable and did not vary with the plants growth conditions. Therefore, the chromosome ploidy of plants derived from microspore culture in cabbage, broccoli, and chinese kale can be identified by simply counting the chloroplast number in stomatal guard cells.

This paper summarizes the results of our study of the pinewood nematode(Bursaphelenchus xylophi-lus).By population genetic analysis,it was determined that there was no genetic bottle caused by the founder effect and genetic drift in the chinese invasive *** invasions with large amounts of nematodes from different sources led to rich genetic diversity in the invasive *** high genetic diversity in the invasive process may be one of the genetic mechanisms in its successful *** testing interspecies competition,it was shown that,with high fecundity and a strong competitive ability,*** outcompeted the native species *** in the natural ecosystem during the invasion *** displacement may be one of the ecological mechanisms of ***'s *** addition,an unequal interspecific hybridization with intro-gress was in favor of the invasive species which also accelerated the replacement of *** by *** structures,functions and evolutions of a few important genes that are closely related to the ecological adaptation of pinewood nematodes were studied to explore the molecular mechanism of its ecological ***,the resistance and resilience mechanism of the pine ecosystem invaded by pinewood nematodes was also *** results of these studies uncovered a portion of the genetic and ecological mechanisms of PWN's successful invasion and laid a foundation for further study to obtain a comprehensive interpretation of the mechanisms of the nematode *** results also provided a scientific basis for effectively controlling the occurrence and spread of pine wilt disease which is caused by *** aspects requiring further investigation are considered.

SYNTHESIS AND CHARACTERIZATION OF NEW STABILIZERS WITH OPTIMAL MOLECULAR WEIGHT

Over 2 x 10(8) tons of polymers are produced every year, and a large portion of polymers faces the degradation problem. There are many effective methods to protect polymers against degradation and the addition of stabilizers to polymer remains the most convenient and effective way of enhancing polymer life and performance. In this article, a series of effective stabilizers with optimal molecular weight (MW), including common, monomeric and polymeric stabilizers (antioxidant and light stabilizer) were synthesized using isocyanation, controlled isocyanation, hydrosilylation, epoxide addition, macroreaction of stabilizing functional compounds and polymerization of monomeric stabilizers. The structure and performance of these new stabilizers were characterized by using IR, NMR, MS, UV-spectra, XPS and elemental analysis. The current development of stabilizer synthesis was also reviewed.

Based on field geological survey, structural measurements and classical Ar/Ar dating of mica, biotite and K-feldspar, we obtain cooling ages for Miocene left-lateral shear along the Xianshuihe fault zone. The results document two thermal events during the sinistral shear. The early event (12-10 Ma) corresponds to rapid cooling of the Zheduoshan granitic massif from above 700℃ to below 350℃. The late event (5-3.5 Ma) corresponds to cooling of granites intruded along the eastern side of the fault zone. These dating results provide important thermochronological constraint on the timing of late Cenozoic eastward extrusion of the Chuan-Dian Block in the SE Tibetan margin.

The Key Factors Affecting Tuber Development of Potato in vitro and the Relation with Protein Fractions

According to previous analysis, some properties bounding up with tuber yield were investigated. The results showed that tuber average weight, plastid Mg2 + -ATPase activity, plastid Ca2 + -ATPase activity, mitochondria Mg2 + -ATPase activity, total soluble protein content, tuber average diameter, and Q-enzyme activity were important factors determining the tuber yield. The linear regression equation was:Y = 0.5211 + 0.0595X(1)+0.8389X(2) +0.0882X(3) -0.0073X(4) +0.1449X(5) +0.3510X(6) +0.0031X(7) -0.00003X(8) + 0.3412X(9) + 0.0127X(10) + 0.2904X(ll) + 0.0570X(12) + 0.0159X(13) + 0.3585X(14) + 0.0134X(15) - 0.1012X(16). At the same time, the relation between several important properties and soluble protein fractions were analyzed.

The function and services are the important components of the life-support system in theplanet, as well as the basic elements for sustainable development of environment and society. It is a must to evaluate it for incorporating it with the social-economic system. It is also an important approach to draw the public attention on the environmental and ecosystem conservation. In this study, the ecosystem function and services in china were estimated by employing the classification and economic parameters from Costanza et al. The type and area of terrestrial ecosystems were extracted from Vegetation Map of china (1:4 000 000), and then the distribution map of ecosystem services of china was drawn. According to our calculation, the total value of ecosystem services in china is 77 834.48×108 RMB yuan per annum. The value for terrestrial ecosystem is 56 098.46×108 yuan per annum, and that for marine ecosystem is 21 736.02×108 yuan per annum. The value of ecosystem services in china is 1.73 times bigger

A simple one-dimensional 2 x 2 hyperbolic system is considered in the *** model contains a linear hyperbolic equation, as well as a hyperbolic equation ofwhich the coefficients are about the solution of the linear one. The exact solution ispresented and discussed, then numerical experiments are given by TVD (or MmB)type schemes for Riemann problems. From the results, we know that the solutionsdo have δ-waves for some suitable initial data.
