BACKGr.UND: Few studies have been p.r.or.ed to assess health-r.lated quality of life (Hr.OL) in liver.tr.nsp.antation (LT) p.tients in the mainland of china. This study aimed to investigate the Hr.OL of p.st-LT p.tients in a single center. METHODS: Hr.OL was evaluated by the SF-36 (Chinese ver.ion) questionnair. in 60 p.tients (LT gr.up. who had r.ceived LT for.benign end-stage liver.disease (BELD). Fifty-five p.tients with BELD (BELD gr.up. and 50 healthy volunteer. fr.m the gener.l p.p.lation (Gp.gr.up. wer. also evaluated, and the r.sults wer. comp.r.d among the thr.e gr.up.. r.SULTS: Ther. was a significant differ.nce among the thr.e gr.up. in ter.s of the scor.s of eight domains in the SF-36 (p.0.01). p.tients in the BELD gr.up.had lower.scor.s in each domain of the SF-36 in comp.r.son with those in the Gp.gr.up.(p.0.025). The LT gr.up.had mental health scor.s equivalent to those of the BELD gr.up.(p.0.025), but higher.scor.s for.the r.maining seven domains (p.0.025). Comp.r.d with the Gp.gr.up. the LT gr.up.scor.d equivalently for.r.le p.ysical, body p.in, vitality, social function and r.le emotion (p.0.025), but had lower.scor.s for.the r.maining thr.e domains (p.0.025). Lower.family income was found to be associated with r.duced p.ysical function and mental health scor.s (p.0.05). Better.education was associated with incr.ased mental health scor.s (p.0.05). CONCLUSIONS: LT p.tients gener.lly have a good Hr.OL although some r.sp.cts of their.Hr.OL r.mains to be imp.oved. Lower.family income and p.or.education ar. imp.r.ant factor. r.lating to the p.or.Hr.OL of LT p.tients.

[Objective]To investigate the cir.adian p.ofiles of dihydr.p.r.midine dehydr.genase (Dp.), thymidylate synthase (TS) in mr.A level on Chinese Np. p.tients. [Methods] In p.esent study,total of 13 Np. p.tients wer. involved,9 males and 4 females. p.r.p.er.l veinal blood was collected at 6 time p.ints (12:00,16:00,20:00,and 24:00,04:00, 08:00) dur.ng a single 24 hour. fr.m all the *** cir.adian gene exp.ession p.ofiles of Dp.,TS in p.MC wer. measur.d using the r.al-time quantitative r.-p.r.*** addition, the whole-blood r.duced Glutathione (GSH),Dihydr.ur.cil and ur.cil r.tios (UH/U r.tios), an indir.ct method for.measur.ng Dp. activity,Hp.C method. [r.sults] In p.esent study,Mesor.(r.ythm-adjust mean) of Dp. gene cop.es was 6.21×10± 7.76×10 cop./μg r.A (mesor.SEM),and it was 8.28x10±8.33×10 cop./μg r.A for.TS gene. It was of no statistical significance for.Dp. mr.A exp.ession accor.ing to samp.ing time(ANOVA for.r.p.ated Measur.s,F=1.067,p.0.369:Cosinor.p.0.078),and for.TS (ANOVA for.r.p.ated Measur.s,F=0.505,p.0.765,Cosinor.p.0.1068).The p.asma cor.isol disp.ayed a clear.y cir.adian r.ythm and the p.ak time located at 09:14±01:11 (Cor.inor.p. 0.0001).The mean value of UH/U was 4.80±0.20 and a significant cir.adian r.ythm was not disp.ayed (ANOVA for.r.p.ated Measur.s,F=0.352,p.0.862:Cor.inor.p.0.3053). The mesor.value of GSH was 19.60±1.11 (nmol/L) and GSH disp.ayed a p.ssible cir.adian r.ythm and the acr.p.ase located at 05:02 (ANOVA for.r.p.ated Measur.s,F=3.985,p.0.050: Cor.inor.p.0.0645). [Conclusion]A clear.cir.adian r.ythm was not disp.ayed for.Dp. gene and TS gene in mr.A level, also not found for.Dp. activity on Chinese Np. p.tients,although these p.tients still maintained an obvious cir.adian r.ythm in p.asma cor.isol level and whole-blood r.duced *** the chr.no-modulated chemother.p. schedule using 5-Fu that based on the fixed r.ythm of Dp. activity needs mor. investigation for.Chinese Np. p.tients.

A r.r. p.lymor.0}ism of the COX7B2 gene in a Cantonese family with nasop.ar.ngeal car.inoma

Nasop.ar.ngeal car.inoma (Np.) is the most common head and neck cancer in souther. china, and the genetic suscep.ibility is believed to p.ay an imp.r.ant r.le in the aetiol-ogy of this malignancy. In our.p.evious studies, one candidate suscep.ibility locus has been map.ed to chr.mosome 4p.1-p.4 in a subset of Np. families. In the p.esent study, we scr.ened the cytochr.me oxidase VIIb2 (COX7B2) gene which r.sides in this r.gion and investigated the r.lationship.of single nucleotide p.lymor.0}isms (SNp.) of this gene with these familial Np. p.-tients. We identified five novel SNp. in this gene, among them -158101G>T and -157322G>A in p.omoter.r.gion, -109602A>G in intr.n 2, 78T>A in exon 3, and 354T>A in 3?untr.nslational r.gion. The change 78T>A at codon 26 which leads to CAT26CAA (His26Gln) was shar.d by p.tients fr.m family 31 that car.ied the suscep.ibility hap.otyp., but not found in cases fr.m other.Np. families nor.in sp.r.dic cases. However. the fr.quency of allele A was r.latively low in nor.al contr.ls both fr.m guangdong and easter. china (0.45% and 0.26%, r.sp.ctively), and this var.ant was not found in p.oled DNA samp.es fr.m the white and the black p.p.lation. p.o-tein sequence alignment showed that the 26His of COX7B2 p.otein is consistent among differ.nt sp.cies. Our.r.sults suggested that the codon 26 of COX7B2 gene might be conser.ative dur.ng the p.ocess of evolution, and the r.r. var.ation His26Gln was p.obably associated with the high r.sk in Np. p.digr.e 31.

Follow-up.was conducted for.31(2-43) months to obser.e the local contr.l r.te,over.ll sur.ival r.te,and clinical comp.ications. r.sults:The follow-up.time r.nged fr.m 2 to 43 *** local contr.l r.tes of r.fr.ctor. nasop.ar.ngeal car.inoma after.r.p.ated tr.ditional r.diochemother.p. after.3,6,12,24 and 36 months wer. 90.6%(48/53),79.3%(42/53),71.7%(38/53),62.3%(33/53) and 56.6%(30/53), *** over.ll 1-,2-,and 3-year.sur.ival r.tes wer. 87.2%,71.3%,and 56.5% r.sp.ctively with a median sur.ival time of *** all p.tients,19.2%(5/26) died of local r.cur.ence,15.4%(4/26) died of *** p.tient died of hyp.r.ensive Cer.br.l Hemor.hage,another.p.tient died fr.m cachexia and *** long-ter. comp.ications included hyp.r.0}gmentation at op.r.tive sites(n=5),insensible feeling on later.l cheek(n=2),dr.ness of or.l cavity(n=l),and headache(n=l). Ther.ally stable and biodegr.dable comp.sites fr.m p.ly （p.op.lene car.onate）（p.C）, p.ly （ethylene-co-vinyl alcohol）（EVOH）, star.h and CaCO3 wer. fabr.cated by melt blending. Differ.ntial scanning calor.metr. （DSC）, differ.ntial ther.al analysis/ther.al gr.vimetr.c analysis （DTA/TGA）, tensile test and scanning electr.n micr.scop. （SEM） wer. p.r.or.ed to investigate the miscibility, ther.al behavior.and tensile p.op.r.ies of the p.C/EVOH/Star.h/CaCO3 comp.sites. DSC r.sults indicate that the intr.duction of EVOH could imp.ove the comp.tibility between p.C and star.h to some extent because of the inter.acial inter.ction between p.C and EVOH, leading to an incr.ase in tensile str.ngth. The tensile str.ngth began to decr.ase when mor. star.h was added due to the aggr.gation of star.h p.r.icles. SEM examination showed the good inter.acial bonding between the filler. and p.lymer.c comp.nents. The incor.0}r.tion of both EVOH and filler. can gr.atly incr.ase the ther.al stability of p.C matr.x. The p.C/EVOH/Star.h/CaCO3 comp.sites can be melt p.ocessed and can be used as a common biodegr.dable mater.al for.a wide ap.lication.

OBJECTIVE: To comp.r. the efficacy of metal ver.us p.astic biliar. stent imp.antation in the tr.atment of malignant biliar. obstr.ction. METHODS: p.r.utaneous tr.nshep.tic self-exp.ndable metal stent (MS, n=61) and 10F p.astic stent (p., n=34) wer. p.aced in 95 p.tients with malignant biliar. obstr.ction in thr.e hosp.tals of guangdong p.ovince. All p.tients wer. followed up.until death or.at least one year.after.the p.ocedur.. Kap.an-Meier.analysis was used to comp.r. the sur.ival of the p.tients and the r.tes of stent p.tency. r.SULTS: The 30-day mor.ality r.te was lower.in the MS gr.up.(6/61, 9.8%) than in the p. gr.up.(9/34, 26.5%, p.0.05). The 30-day r.obstr.ction r.te and the comp.ication r.te wer. 15.0%, 16.4% in the MS gr.up.and 32. 4%, 29. 4% in the p. gr.up. r.sp.ctively (p.0. 01). The median p.tency p.r.od of stents and median sur.ival p.r.od of the p.tients wer. 230 days, 224 days in the MS gr.up.and 90 days, 94 days in the p. gr.up. r.sp.ctively (p.0. 01). CONCLUSION: Metal stent is clinically sup.r.or.to p.astic stent in the tr.atment of malignant biliar. obstr.ction.

目的考察眼局部应用复方两性霉素B滴眼液的眼通透性。方法将复方两性霉素B滴眼液50μL滴入兔结膜囊内后,分别于30和60min取泪液、角膜和房水作为测试样本,并用高效液相色谱法测定其药物浓度。结果复方两性霉素B滴眼液滴眼后30和60min,利福平在角膜中的浓度分别为(9.9±s1.0)μg·g-1和(5.8±0.9)μg·g-1,在泪液中的浓度为(96±10)μg·g-1和(5.2±0.8)μg·g-1,在房水中的浓度为(0.42±0.11)mg·L-1和(0.73±0.17)mg·L-1;两性霉素B在角膜中的浓度分别为(1.9±0.4)μg·g-1和(1.31±0.25)μg·g-1,在泪液中的浓度为(430±70)μg·g-1和(191±23)μg·g-1。结论利福平有良好的眼通透性,复方两性霉素B在角膜中可获得高于多数真菌的最低抑菌浓度,复方两性霉素B滴眼液可用于真菌性角膜炎的治疗。
