Prediction of petroleum exploration risk and subterranean spatial distribution of hydrocarbon accumulations

Investigation of spatial distribution of oil and gas resource and accurate prediction of the geographic location of its undiscovered resource is significant for reducing exploration risk and improving exploration benefit.A new method for predicting spatial distribution of oil resource is discussed in this *** consists of prediction of risk probability in petroleum exploration and simulation of hydrocarbon abundance. exploration risk probability is predicted by multivariate statistics,fuzzy mathematics and {4. processing techniques.A spatial attribute database for sample wells was set up and the Mahalanobis distance and Fuzzy value of given samples were ***,the Bayesian formula was used to calculate the hydrocarbon-bearing probability at the area of exploration ***,a hydrocarbon probability template is formed and used to forecast the probability of the unknown area. The hydrocarbon abundance is simulated based on Fourier integrals,frequency spectrum synthesis and fractal ***,the fast Fourier transformation（FFT） is used to transform the known hydrocarbon abundance from the spatial domain to the frequency domain,then,frequency spectrum synthesis is used to produce the fractal frequency spectrum,and FFT is applied to get the phase {4. of hydrocarbon-bearing ***,the frequency spectrum simulation is used to calculate the renewed hydrocarbon abundance in the play. This method is used to predict the abundance and possible locations of the undiscovered petroleum accumulations in the Nanpu Sag of the Bohai Bay Basin,*** prediction results for the well-explored onshore area of the northern Nanpu Sag agree well with the actual *** the less-explored offshore areas in the southern Nanpu Sag,the prediction results suggest high hydrocarbon abundance in Nanpu-1 and Nanpu-2,providing a useful guiding for future exploration.

Synchronization of MIMO OFDM systems by perfect complete generalized complementary orthogonal loosely synchronous code groups

This article proposes a time/frequency synchronization algorithm in the multiple input multiple output （MIMO） systems, in which the perfect complete generalized complementary orthogonal loosely synchronous code groups are used as the synchronization sequence. The synchronization algorithm is divided into four stages： 1） synchronization in time domain by signal autocorrelation; 2） synchronization in frequency domain by fast Fourier transform （FFT）; 3. multipath dissociation using coherent detection and fine time synchronization; 4. fine frequency offset estimation by phase rotation. As per the perfect complete generalized complementary orthogonal loosely synchronous code groups, the cross-correlation and out-of-phase auto-correlation for any relative shift between any two codes is always zero. This ideal property makes the time/frequency synchronization algorithm simple and efficient. The simulation results show that even in the multipath fast fading channel with low signal noise ratio （SNR）, the MIMO system can get synchronized both in the time domain and frequency domain with high stability and reliability.

Flooding of harmful information on the Internet seriously endangers the physiological and mental health of teenagers. Due to the user-friendliness of the Internet as well as the difficulty in the authentication for the access of specific categories of information, curbing the transmission of harmful information, i.e., assuring the information content security (ICS), has become a reasonable yet challenging alternative. At present, there is an urgent need to develop a systematic model that can effectively carry out the curbing. In fact, curbing the transmission of harmful information by way of filtering can be modeled by access control. In the paper, based on the three core-elements of communication, namely, "Who communicates with whom", "How do they communicate" and "What is the content of communication", we propose a control model, called ICCON. Unlike the existing access control, the reference monitor (RM) of our model is placed in the transmission channel, and moreover, an evaluation frame is proposed, through which the effectiveness of the RM in controlling information transmission on the Internet can be quantitatively evaluated.

We propose a fully discrete fast Fourier-Galerkin method for solving an integral equation of the first kind with a logarithmic kernel on a smooth open arc,which is a reformulation of the Dirichlet problem of the Laplace equation in the *** optimal convergence order and quasi-linear complexity order of the proposed method are established.A precondition is *** this method with an efficient numerical integration algorithm for computing the single-layer potential defined on an open arc,we obtain the solution of the Dirichlet problem on a smooth open arc in the *** examples are presented to confirm the theoretical estimates and to demonstrate the efficiency and accuracy of the proposed method.

Joint source-channel coding/decoding (JSCC/JSCD) techniques in flow media communications have become a state-of-the-art and one of the challenging research subjects in the spatial communication area. They have great application prospective and deep impact in various manned space flights, satellite missions, mobile radio communications and deep-space explorations. In the last few years, there have been influential achievements in JSCC/JSCD studies. This paper aims at an introduction to the basic principles of joint source-channel optimal design. A general summarization and classification for various existing JSCC/JSCD methods is addressed. Also presented is a JSCD scheme based on variable-length coding, capable of providing reliable resolutions for flow media data transmission in spatial communications.

Characteristics of fluid substitution in porous rocks

Analysis of the effect of changes in fluid properties of rocks on the compressional-wave velocity VP and shear-wave velocity Vs is very important for understanding the rock physical properties, especially in oilfield exploration and development. The fluid substitution process was analyzed by using ultrasonic measurement and theoretical calculations. The results showed that the effect of fluid substitution on the rock elastic modulus was mainly controlled by fluid properties, saturation, and confining pressure. For a rock with specific properties and porosity, the result of theoretical prediction for fluid substitution accorded with the experimental result under high confining pressure （higher than 60 MPa for our experimental data）, but failed to describe the trend of experimental result under low confining pressure and VP predicted by Gassmann＇s equation was higher than that measured by experiment. A higher porosity resulted in stronger sensitivity of the bulk modulus of saturated rocks to the change of fluid properties.
