This paper studies the convergence rates of gene expression programming based on maintaining elitist (ME-GEP) by means of Markov chain and spectrum analysis. We obtain the following results: (1) ME-GEP algorithm converges to the global optimum in probability. (2. The convergence rates of ME-GEP algorithm depend on the revised spectral radius of transition matrix of Markov chain corresponding to the algorithm. (3) The upper bounds of revised spectral radius are estimated, which are determined by the parameters of ME-GEP algorithm. (4. As an application of the theoretical results acquired in the paper, the convergence rates of ME-GEP for the polynomial function modeling problem are also analyzed, which verifies the relations between the convergence rates and the algorithm parameters.

This paper discusses design and implementation method of Business Application Framework based on software patterns, and then presents MVC pattern of architecture and the method of dynamical update promulgation for Business Application Framework. We discuss adaptation of Abstract Factory for the kernel functionality of Business Application Framework, such as data creation, manipulation, composition, etc. It also presents class model and its class structure of Abstract Factory pattern. Finally, we briefly discuss the update, modification, and reconstruction method of Business Application Framework.

After discussing the reflective method of structure and behavior in the state design pattern based on Role Object pattern and the Reflective pattern of software architecture, this paper proposes a reflective state pattern with dynamic constructiveness. This paper explains the meta level and the base level, which are two levels of this pattern, and specifies the relation of two levels by using Meta Object Protocol (MOP). Then it discusses mechanism of interception and reification for reflecting base object from Meta object. Finally this paper gives an example of network server for applying the Reflective state pattern.

In this paper, we report research on how to design the tele-network. First of all, we defined the reliability of tele-network. According to the definition, we divide the whole reliability into two parts:the reliability of the mini-way and that of the whole system. Then we do algebra unintersection of the mini-way, deriving a function of reliability of tele-network. Also, we got a function of the cost of tele-network after analyzing the cost of arcs and points. Finally, we give a mathematical model to design a tele-network. For the algorithm, we define the distance of a network and adjacent area within certain boundaries . We present a new algorithm--Queue Competition Algorithm (QCA) based on the adjacent area . The QCA correlates sequence of fitnesses in their father-generations with hunting zone of mutation and the number of individuals generated by mutation, making the stronger fitness in a small zone converge at a local extreme value, but the weaker one takes the advantage of lots of individuals and a big zone to hunt a new local extreme value. In this way, we get the overall extreme value. Numerical simulation shows that we can get the efficient hunting and exact solution by using QCA. The QCA efficient hunting and exact solution.

In order to improve the mechanical and water swelling properties of the chitosan (CS) film, a series of transparent films were prepared by blending 2.(weight) chitosan acetic acid solution with 1.5%(weight) carboxymethylated konjac glucomannan (CMKGM) aqueous solution according to predetermined ratio and drying at 30°C. The morphological structure, miscibility, thermal stability, mechanical properies, and swelling capacity of the blend films were studied by infrared (IR), X-ray diffraction (XRD), differential thermal analysis (DTA), scanning electron micrograph (SEM), and measurements of the mechanical properties and swelling properties. The results demonstrated that there was strong interaction and good miscibility between CS and CMKGM resulted from intermolecular hydrogen bonding and electrostatic force. The mechanical properties in dry state and wet state, thermostability, and water swelling properties of the blend films were obviously improved. The best values of the tensile strength in the dry and wet state achieved 89 MPa and 4. MPa, respectively, when the CMKGM content was 30%(weight). The CS/ CMKGM blend films provided promising biomedical applications.

We introduced a new method---duration Hidden Markov Model (dHMM) to predicate the secondary structure of Protein. In our study, we divide the basic second structure of protein into three parts: H (a-Helix), E (B-sheet) and O (others, include coil and turn). HMM is a kind of probabilistic model which more thinking of the interaction between adjacent amino acids (these interaction were represented by transmit probability), and we use genetic algorithm to determine the model parameters. After improving on the model and fixed on the parameters of the model, we write a program HMMPS. Our example shows that HMM is a nice method for protein secondary structure prediction.

A fast algorithm is proposed to solve a kind of high complexity multi-objective problems in this paper. It takes advantages of both the orthogonal design method to search evenly, and the statistical optimal method to speed up the computation. It is very suitable for solving high complexity problems, and quickly yields solutions which converge to the Pareto-optimal set with high precision and uniform distribution. Some complicated multi-objective problems are solved by the algorithm and the results show that the algorithm is not only fast but also superior to other MOGAS and MOEAs, such as the currently efficient algorithm SPEA, in terms of the precision, quantity and distribution of solutions.
