Fluids and noble gases of mantle-derived materials are important tracers forthe mantle information. Compositions of primary fluids and noble gases in mantle-derived mineralsfrom the Yishu area, Shandong Province, china, were tested by the methods of heat-bursting andheat-melting respectively. The fluids are mainly composed of CO_2, CO and H_2, which account forabout 90% of the total, and are similar to the mantle-derived rocks from other areas of easternchina; ratios of ~3He/~4.e in almost all samples range from 0.82 Ra to 2.74.Ra, whereas^(4.)Ar/^(36)Ar from 299.5 to 758.8. Both ranges are much lower than those of the typical oceanmantle-derived samples (such as MORB) and primarily reflect the influences of the atmosphericcomponents and the radiogenic isotopes. Ratios of C/~3He range from 27.6 x 10~9 to 1050 x 10~9,N_2/Ar from 927 to 56612, and N_2/~3He from 2.5 x 10~9 to 27 x 10~9, similar to those in westernUnited States and New Zealand which belong to the tectonic plate collision regions. The ratios fallin the intersect of mantle-crust-atmosphere in the comprehensive tracer-charts, reflecting theinfluences of the atmosphere and the crusts with organic components. Our results suggest that thecomposition of the primary fluids and the isotopic ratios of the noble gases may either reflect theevolution process of mantle-derived rocks connected with the rise and eruption of magma, or theinfluence of the ancient subduction-plate on the continental mantle of this region.

Four sources of surface heat flux （SHF） and the satellite remote sensing sea surface temperature （SST） data are combined to investigate the heat budget closure of the Huanghai Sea （HS） in *** is found that heat loss occurs all over the HS during winter and the area averaged heat content change decreases with a rate of-106 W/m *** with the area averaged SHF of-150 W/m 2 from the four SHF data sets,it can be concluded that the SHF plays a dominant role in the HS heat budget during *** contrast,the heat advection transported by the Huanghai Warm Current （Yellow Sea Warm Current,HWC） accounted for up to 29% of the HS heat content *** correlation,especially in February,between the storm events and the SST increase demonstrates that the HWC behaves strongly as a wind-driven compensation current.

Range-gated underwater laser imaging technique can eliminate most of the backscattering and absorption noise *** has a range of from 4.to 6 times that of a conventional camera with floodlights in the strongly scattering waters,which becomes a useful technique in oceanic research,deep-sea exploration,underwater remote control and robotic *** because of the laser pulse stretching,the image obtained through range gated underwater imaging system has obvious nonuniformly illuminated character,such as brighter center and darker *** contrast and grayish white of the image also bring great difficulty for *** order to adjust the lightness of the nonuniformly illuminated image of range-gated underwater imaging system,the water degradation is assumed as illumination variation and retinal-cortex theory based on color constancy is *** integral algorithm has to be applied first to eliminate system noise for the reason that we adopt the system based on intensified gate imaging *** gray stretch ensures that we can attain appropriate *** retinal-cortex models,McCann model and McCann-Frankle model have obvious *** we choose the two models for comparison and improve the second one considering the exponential characteristics of eyes for *** order to evaluate the methods objectively,strength uniformity of signals is *** experimental results demonstrate that the approaches we adopted are all effective and can enhance the image *** the improved McCann-Frankle model gets more satisfying visual effect.

Aim:To investigate the effect of chronic morphine exposure on the receptive fieldproperties of lateral geniculate nucleus(LGN)neurons in ***:Catswere injected with morphine(10 mg/kg)or saline twice daily,for 10 ***,extracellular single-unit recording techniques were used to examine the sensitivityof LGN neurons to visual stimuli in chronic morphine-treated and ***:Compared with saline-treated cats(as controls),LGN neurons inmorphine-treated cats had decreased signal-to-noise ratios(1.9 vs 3.1 ),and orien-tation and direction sensitivity(0.103 vs O.135 and 0.074.vs O.10,respectively),accompanied by significant increases in spontaneous(27.4.vs 17.5)and evokedactivity(preferred:4..2 vs 38.1;average:28.1 vs 22.3).Conclusion:Chronic mor-phine exposure can lead to the functional degradation of LGN neurons in cats,which might result from the effects of chronic morphine exposure on inhibitoryneurotransmission.

Targeting the problem of available water conservation in sand fixation,the sand-fixing and grass-planting materials was prepared with clay modified by emulsifying vegetable waxes and *** water retention properties was studied in simulating desertification environmental climate and the materials were characterized by means of SEM,FTIR,XRD and TGA *** result showed that the materials has excellent water retention ability,which owning to that vegetable waxes adhering evenly to clay particle surfaces,making the clay pores changing from hydrophilic to hydrophobic and so inhibiting the water ***-planting experiment indicted that when the mass ratio of clay:vegetable waxes:OP4.being 1:6:18,the materials not only inhibits water evaporation but also maintains sound air permeability so shat the germination rate and survival rate of grass was well improved.

A study has been made on the essence of optimal uncorrelated discriminant vectors. A whitening transform has been constructed by means of the eigen decomposition of the population scatter matrix, which makes the population scatter matrix be an identity matrix in the transformed sample space no matter whether the population scatter matrix is singular or not. Thus, the optimal discriminant vectors solved by the conventional linear discriminant analysis (LDA) methods are statistically uncorrelated. The research indicates that the essence of the statistically uncorrelated discriminant transform is the whitening transform plus conventional linear discriminant transform. The distinguished characteristics of the proposed method is that the obtained optimal discriminant vectors are not only orthogonal but also statistically uncorrelated. The proposed method is applicable to all the problems of algebraic feature extraction. The numerical experiments on several facial databases show the effectiveness of the proposed method.

This paper presents a novel method of using mixture models with document segmentation to improve the performance of pseudo relevance feedback for document re- trieval. Pseudo-relevance feedback in information retrieval traditionally selects a number of top-ranked documents, from which terms highly related to the initial query are selected to form a new query model for query expansion. However, the query expansion often causes query shift since not all the contents within the document are coherently relevant. In this paper, we propose to build mixture models by combining the original query information with the expanded query language model using aspect model. The experimental results have shown that our proposed methods significantly outperform a number of strong baselines on several large scale TREC collections.
