It is difficult to make an inventory of vertical profiles of forest structure parameters in field ***,analysis and understanding of forest backscattering characteristics contribute to estimation and detection of forest vertical structure because of the close relationships between backscattering characteristics and structure *** vertical structure function in the complex interferometric coherence definition,which represents the vertical variation of microwave scattering with the penetration depth at a point in the 2.D radar image and can be used to analyze the forest backscattering characteristics,can be reconstructed from polarization coherence tomography(PCT).Based on PCT,the paper analyzes the forest backscattering characteristics and explores the inherent relationship between the result of PCT and the forest structure parameters from numerical simulation of Random Volume over Ground model(RVoG),Polarimetric SAR interferometry(PolInSAR)simulation of forest scene and PolInSAR data at L-band of the test site ***,the effects of the extinction coefficient and surface-to-volume scattering ratio in RVoG model on vertical backscattering characteristics are analyzed by means of numerical ***,by applying PCT to L-band POLInSAR simulations of forest scene,different variations of vertical backscattering due to different extinction coefficients and the ratios of surface-to-volume scattering resulting from different polarizations,forest types and densities are displayed and *** a concept of relative average backscattering intensity is presented,and the factors which affect its vertical distribution are also *** results show that there is high sensitivity of the vertical distribution of forest relative average backscattering intensity to the polarization,forest type and ***,based on repeat pass DLR E-SAR L-band airborne POLInSAR data,the capability of PCT technology for detection

Genistein stimulates osteoblastic differentiation via p38 MAPK-Cbfa1 pathway in bone marrow culture

Response of remotely sensed Normalized Difference Water Deviation Index to the 2.06 Drought of eastern Sichuan Basin

One of the most serious droughts in last century occurred in eastern Sichuan Basin in the summer of 2.06 (hereinafter called the Drought). The response of Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS, boarding on NASA satellites of Terra and Aqua) to the Drought was analyzed in order to reach one practicable monitoring solution for regional soil moisture. Temporal process and spatial extension of the Drought were firstly estimated with ground meteorological and hydrological observations. Then, for the whole region of Sichuan and Chongqing, the remotely sensed Normalized Difference Water In- dex (NDWI) for the summers of 2.01―2.06 were calculated based on 8-day composite MODIS products, which were further used to construct a new water index (Normalized Difference Water Deviation Index, NDWDI) to examine the sensitivity of remote sensing in the Drought. The study showed that the NDWDI is more sensitive to regional drought than other absolute-soil-moisture-based indices. With the new index, the study extracted the spatial-temporal characteristics of the 2.06 Drought, and explored its developing and withdrawing processes, which agreed with related statistics. Compared with ground method of drought observation, the NDWDI-based remote sensing solution of this paper is more pref- erable and practicable in that the local soil properties of water consumption and supply are implicitly taken into account, and the spatial representativity limit of ground observation is circumvented to a degree as satellite remotely senses the earth surface in a way of two-dimensional pixel matrix. So, the NDWDI-based method can be used to monitor regional soil water stress situation more practically and efficiently.

Nonequilibrium Thermodynamic and Dissipative Structure Mechanism of Fluidized Beds

Fluidized beds are nonlinear dynamic systems that exchange mass and energy with outside. They are governed not only byfluid dynamics, but by thermodynamics, especially the second law of thermodynamics as well. According to Prigogine's dissipative structure theory, the following have been concluded: (l) a fixed bed is on thermodynamic blanch, and bubbling, turbulent and fast beds areon the dissipatve structure branches. (2. Entropy in fluidized beds is divided into tWo parts: entropy production and entropy flux. The latter increases with gas velocity and decreases with pressure of the systems. That means the entropy of a system may reduce and the systemwith higher gas velocity behaves as dissipative structure characteristics. (3) For a giVen velocity, a fluidized bed operates stably on thewhole, but it is unstable to local gas-solid phases. The unstable phases are described by fluid dynamic equations, While the minimum ofsystem energy function assures whole stability of the system. (4. A transition criterion of a bubbling bed is derived from Prigogine's stability theory.

EXAFS Studies on Local Atomic Structure in the Amorphous Mg_(65)Cu_(2.)Gd_(10) Alloy

Local atomic structures of an amorphous Mg65Cu2.Gd10 alloy and the structural changes by thermal annealing have been studied by extended X-ray absorption fine structure （EXAFS）. The correlation between structural changes and mechanical properties for the Mg65Cu2.Gd10 alloy has also been discussed. Results showed that Cu atoms around Gd in Mg65Cu2.Gd10 lost rapidly during annealing , resulting in the segregation of Cu atoms. The coordination number NGd-Mg of Mg65Cu2.Gd10 annealed at 373 K first diminished and then augmented with the increase of annealing time. The formation of polyhedral short-range order unit with coordination number of nearly 12.around Gd atoms is in favor of the improvement of mechanical properties. The chemical short-range order, not topological short-range order in the amorphous Mg65Cu2.Gd10 alloy had obvious changes during annealing.

Level Set interface treatment method is introduced into Euler method,which is employed for interface treatment method for multi-materials. Combined with the ghost fluid method,the moving interface is tracked. Fifth-order WENO spatial discretization and third-order TVD Runge-Kutta time discretization methods are used. Shock-wave action on bubble,implosion and velocity field Shock effect bubbles; implosion and velocity field are simulated by means of LS-MMIC3D programmed by C++. Nu-merical results show that the Level Set interface treatment method is effective and feasible for multi-material interface treatment in comparison with the WENO method.

The paper presents a new approach to computing the abstract state and a maximum weight heuristic method for finding the shortest counter-example in verification of imperative programs. The strategy is incorporated in a verification system based on the counterexample-guided abstraction refinement method. The proposed method slashes both the size of the abstract state space and the number of invokes of a decision procedure. A number of benchmarks are employed to evaluate the effectiveness of the approach.

A large number of applications in image processing and computer vision depend on image quality. In this paper, main concerns are image denoising and deblurring simultaneously in a restoration task by three types of methodologies: non-convex regularization, inverse diffusion and shock filter. We discuss their relations in the context of image deblurring: the inverse diffusion implied by the non-convex regularization, and the superior ability of deblurring edge of the shock filter to that of the inverse diffusion, both in 1D and 2. cases. Finally, we propose a region-based adaptive anisotropic diffusion with shock filter method, which shows advantages of deblurring edges, denoising and smoothing contours in experiments, compared with some related methods. Therein an idea of "divide and rule" is introduced.

We present an accountable authority key policy attribute-based encryption (A-KPABE) *** this paper,we extend Goyal's work to key policy attribute-based encryption *** first generalize the notion of accountable authority in key policy attribute-based encryption scenario,and then give a *** addition,our scheme is shown to be secure in the standard model under the modified Bilinear Decisional Diffie-Hellman (mBDDH) assumption.
